  1. That's an interesting take on what DK actually said. You've inferred from his post that he agrees with you that somehow Mitrovic was to blame. You criticised Mitrovic in your "post match analysis", calling him anonymous. What DK implied is that the 1st half was grim, but that was mostly down to the service and lack of dynamism from the team. What I've taken away from your "post match analysis" is that you thought a team lacking in creativity could have had 5 or 6, you though that 15 minutes after a player was substituted he was anonymous, and you darted off at half time to fill your face
  2. Brighton are a decent outfit and very competitive in this league. Hughton will have them well drilled for set pieces and Knockaert is a quality player
  3. Not objectively though. You said he was anonymous, when by all other accounts he showed some good touches, linked up well and enjoyed a ding-dong battle with big lumbering League 2 centre halfs. Then he took a knock and tried to play on before being substituted before 1/2 time. I'll say again, if a player doesn't score or assist (or monumentally fuck up) you don't notice him. See that CT? David Kelly just showed you how to give actual insight.
  4. Rafa says he's fine and him and Gayle are both in contention for the Brighton game. Think his substitution was just a precaution. Makes sense given the last time he played he had to come off with what looked like concussion.
  5. Is it any surprise CT said Mitrovic was anonymous? The chubby fucker just admitted he saw little of the game because his kid was distracting him, some bloke was giving a running commentary and he fucked early off for half time pies. Honestly if a player hasn't scored or created a goal, CT wouldn't have a clue what he did in the game
  6. Loads of changes, but looks a really strong side Darlow Sterry Lascelles Hanley Gamez Colback Shelvey Aaron Diame Perez Mitrovic
  7. Then someone who predicted 2-2 gets no points for a 2-1 win, but someone who predicted 12-0 does. Whose prediction is more accurate?
  8. I've got a column that records if a predicted result is accurate. Should the lad who gets a point for his 5-1 prediction of a 0-1 loss be penalised? Maybe a 1/2 mark off? Dead easy to do things like this, at this stage.
  9. Rightback, played at Sunderland last season, they were big fans, I've never been convinced by him.
  10. Which one is that though I've recorded your correct scoreline, we're not doing extra points for getting the result right.
  11. Don't get me wrong, that's club highlights of one game against Charlton (not a great standard of opposition), but, the technique, the vision and the pace isn't affected by any of those. I'm trying to find other videos to get a bigger picture.
  12. Jump to about 2:00 and watch the rest. Looks to have a decent range of passing, decent pace, really good awareness and vision, tidy control. Oh and CT? You remained excited about a midfielder from Rennes who'd failed a medical at Liverpool, so shut your pie hole.
  13. He'll be back early November, by all accounts, so lets say he's back for the trip to Leeds (20th Nov), he'd be available for 30 league games.
  14. If his good form coincides with finals he could do well, but that's as long as his poor form doesn't prevent him getting there in the first place.
  15. I'll submit my findings to the British Psychoanalytic Society and hopefully, with their assistance, help him manage his condition.
  16. He's doing more of the actual work and should receive more credit, but I'm running something alongside it. Basically he's doing an uncluttered pts tally, I've a large unwieldy spreadsheet that should mean if I keep filling it in throughout the season I can track people's predictions and see how they change. I can see what the avg home/away prediction is, the person who predicts the most goals (CT), the person who predicts the least (KCG) and how that scans with their chat on the forum.
  17. The change KCG proposed to my sheet? No real difference to be honest, like I said, there's only been 2 correct scoreline guesses so far. CT won't get aggravated, he'll complain but add a winky smiley to cover his own back in case something changes in the future.
  18. Why the fuck is he going to need to run? All he's got to be able to do is boot the ball as far as he can and challenge at set-pieces. Christ, imagine it though; John Terry has worked under Mourinho, Hiddink, Ancelotti, and now he'd have to take instructions from Sam fucking Allardyce.
  19. My sheet is fairly comprehensive, so that shouldn't be a problem to sort out. Mind you the score has only been predicted correctly twice in 160 guesses so far
