  1. Bruce to Villa all but confirmed and it looks like McClaren returning to Derby?
  2. It'd be perfect Toontastic if this was the first post on a new page.
  3. Good athleticism and technique, but made of glass. Shame like.
  4. Well he's certainly settled on a shape; 4-4-1-1, but I've no idea if that's going to carry over into the Premier League, just for the Championship or just for those matches we've played thus far.
  5. Think it's more the former, Mitrovic is still too rash. But he needs to play, get used to what is and isn't allowed. HE's certainly got goals in him and can hold the ball up the pitch much, much better than anyone else in the side. Mind you, we're not often playing games where a target man is needed to relieve pressure.
  6. Probably, Gayle hasn't played this weekend so should be fit and rested, I'd expect the starting 11 to be made up of players who've not featured at all for their international teams. I'd love to see Mitrovic actually starting some games though. The only way he's going to get into the swing of the league is by featuring for more than 20 ish minutes a game.
  7. Aren't there rumblings that there's audio/video of him dropping the N-Bomb?
  8. 1wst was a tap in, but the second was a lovely bullet header
  9. Hey, we all joke and that's fine, but don't say that about my friends, y'hear!
  10. Couple of times I had mates come up to stay during the University breaks, they wouldn't be told that a smaller portion would be more than enough and 1/2 would go in the bin. Or my sister.
  11. Pretty good destruction of the arguments against Bradley getting the Swansea job ahead of Giggs. http://www.football365.com/news/mediawatch-extra-robbie-savage-on-giggs
  12. Loving this thread. I'm not sure Howay is brave enough to reply to essembees legitimate, rational questions.
  13. A grand for the story, a couple of paid tv appearances to "put her story across". Also, she doesn't strike me as the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  14. Tory's don't half foster the idea that the only reason your life isn't perfect is other people.
  15. Shit mate, sorrrry, won't be moving for a while and when we do it'll be into our own place. The one thing I do need is a good local in Altrincham, haven't found the right one for me yet and I've been doing a fair bit of "research" oh and fuck off essembee
  16. Hah, we literally only just moved here Next move will be buying a place, probably in 12-18 months. No idea where that will be though.
  17. Yeah, been a few times, nice food, good beer and decent coffee. I'd have preferred Chorlton, but time was against us. Altrincham is the final stop on the tram, yeah.
  18. CT, have you ever watched anything like the West Wing, House of Cards, Veep, The Thick of It, Yes Prime Minister?
  19. I get more insight from podcasts, than I do from pundits and commentators most fo the time. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of shit out there, but Football Weekly, The Game*, the Football Ramble are examples of football podcasts that have the right mix of insight and "banter". Much better than talkSport, 606 and that shite. I suppose it depends how you like to hear about football. My Dad, for example, watches Match of the Day and tries to avoid the results until then. He wouldn't think to read a blog that discusses the tactical innovations, or listen to a podcast. Home from the pub, Chilli re-heated, glass of wine, happy days. *Although Marcotti can be a bit tedious.
  20. I tend to turn the sound down and stick an album or 6Music on to be honest. It's rare that commentators actually add something to watching a match. More often than not it's some ex-pro who hasn't the wherewithal to give proper insight that could only really come from someone who's played, or coached the game at a decent level, nor have they the wit or charisma to add humour to it. There's only a few pundits that don't have me frustrated; Jenas is good, Neville & Carragher are decent on MNF, but I get nothing from "Sav", Bright, Wright, Lawrenson, Keown, et al that I couldn't get from the bloke down the pub who's got a season ticket in Bar 1892 so he can get a half time pint of Carling easily. re: the podcast, Cheers for that mate, I won't let it go to my head.
