I'd not set it out like that mate. Easier to group three blocks and total them

Enjoyed reading those pieces. Thought it was class that Rafa would only have the Manager of the Month photo taken with his entire team and didn't want the articles written unless they were written about the everyone. He's a proper actual real life football manager, isn't he? Wonder how the Palace fans are enjoying their man by of comparison?

It's probably a vocal minority on Waccoe that convinced me of that, to be fair. My Waccoe profile is being censored, as according to them I'm an Away fan WUM. There's been threats of actual physical violence against me, but I've been censored because... I guess because a few of their members are keyboard warriors and have got themselves all in a tizz?

If we play a more ground based game, with Diame, Yedlin, Gouffran/Atsu, carrying the ball rather than trying to Shelvey it, we will keep more possession but will not be able to unlock their defence as easily. Which is fine by me.
-
Gayle and Ritchie take a few of the freekicks, don't they? But yeah, he'll be a big loss. The good news is how poor they apparently are at set pieces, vs how good we've been. Plus if their play is mainly down the flanks, if we can starve them of the ball, we should be able to nullify their attacks, no?

Put your house on Clark scoring at anytime.

Ah, I see. Yeah I've changed a bit, but I've always been flighty and contradictory. One thing I've learnt is to try and keep my proselytising to subjects I've a fucking clue about. US and UK politics are best left to those in the know and CT.... and Parky. Oh and check your inbox

What's your beef, chief? I would have thought you'd be well in favour of the area? Less chance of seagulls than on the coast, surely?
-
That's unlike them.

I could, but all you do is moan, mope and bitch so I think you need real misery and torment in your life to make you appreciate what you had.

We're looking to buy next year and because we know a few tradesmen we're looking at a fixer-upper/project. Looking at Holmfirth (where they filmed Last of the Summer Wine apparently) and there's some cracking houses in our budget. She's more keen on new-builds than I am. My reservations are mostly that some new builds can be quite pokey and flimsy, they also don't readily lend themselves to extension or personalisation. An older house may come with problems, but if we buy to improve, we should be able to address those issues straight away and once the property is finished, we'll have an incredible "forever home", in a really nice area with good primary and secondary schools, 1hr from Manchester/Leeds/Sheffield.

I think it's the total lack of humility, there's a vocal portion of their fanbase that maintain the illusion that they're a relevant club and list the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and the like as their rivals. When in truth, their rivals are Ipswich, Wolves and Cardiff. When we went down last time it brought us back to earth with a bump, to the point that when we finished 5th in the Premier League soon after, most expected us to revert to midtable the following year. The "deluded Geordie" cliche is still trotted out, but these Leeds fans are surely the more deluded? They honestly believe everybody actively hates them (and they take some odd pride in that) when really nobody thinks about them until they're to face them in a fixture. Even then it's usually a "Oh yeah, Leeds, they're a pack of angry cunts aren't they?". It's a similar reaction to Millwall or Cardiff, you know the team are going to be aggressive, the fans will act like extras from Green Street and they'll claim they out sung, out drank and outfought your lot whatever happens. The lads on MOTforum seem to buck that trend, but Waccoe is just illiterate bile from furious chavs.

I don't like it either, but if the alternative is Anita or Colback trying to be the creative pivot in the centre... I mean, Anita is decent at fullback at this level because he understands the tactical role and he can run and disrupt an attack. But stick him in the centre and while he understands what is required, he just hasn't the passing range, technique or vision to really act as a playmaker. I guess I'd rather the creative side of the role be satisfied, rather than the comfort in the position?
-
Could the returning Ritchie play in the centre, With Atsu and Gouffran on the flanks? Or is he too lightweight?
-
Which one? "Marching On Together", or "We are champions, champions of Europe"? Be interesting if Shelvey is suspended or dropped for the Leeds game, will Rafa shift from 4-2-3-1 and put more emphasis on creativity from the flanks? or will he stick his preferred formation and pop Diame or Colback into Shelvey's role?

Playing for a club for a brief spell doesn't mean you're from the area. Unless you're saying Michael Owen is a Geordie? -
Have to say the lads on MOTforum.com are much better ambassadors for their club than those on waccoe.com.

I've since been threatened with a stay at Leeds General Infirmary and that they'd smash up Wetherby...

86% of his career played away from sunderland. -
Yeah, but Leeds would have taken 30,000 with 80,000 locked outside because you can only measure a fanbase's loyalty if they've been out of the top flight for a decade. (we don't talk about the 80's though, ok?)
-
Popped onto Waccoe.com to ask a few questions but they chose to start frothing about Atromitos away attendances instead I particularly like the suggestion that Newcastle (who're winning the league they've been in for years) aren't a rival, but clubs gunning for the Top Flight title are And he's got the cheek to call us deluded So, so salty.
-
True enough. They're like a mutt at a window; every time someone walks past, they bark and growl and yap, and not a single fuck is given by the passer by. Oh I know, just meant it'd be hilarious to se the league-wide meltdown as we basically cheat at football manager.

Class if we picked up Tammy Abraham, Alan Judge, and Anthony Knockaert in January.
