  1. It's a video, basically Plymouth manager says Whittaker didn't show up for the match, despite being originally in the selection.
  2. It's the corporate, the average ticket price ( I wonder if Season ticket income is included in matchday?), the cost of pies, pints and so on.
  3. Is there an element of the matchday experience being a little average?
  4. Hang on, how many footballers play for a decade in the Premier League? It's way more likely that for the vast majority their top flight career will be shorter even than 10 years. Then you have to factor in the cost of living for a PL footballer. If they rent a property in the popular "Golden Triangle" area of the North West, they could be paying up to £8k a week for a house. Plus renting a flash car and all the other things too.
  5. Sounds like he's a bit of a cunt https://x.com/Beesotted/status/1882352488495645089
  6. Thing is, they can have loads of boxes, matchday experiences, expensive "premium" tickets and so on, without pricing out the local fans. Honestly, fill the majority of a new stadium with varied but affordable season tickets say 70%, have a portion of tickets that go on sale to members (15%), the rest can be sold at a huge premium to tourists (15%). Have the new stadium able to host concerts, NFL, and all that shite.
  7. I love the romantic view of the world and wish it were true, but Isak, Bruno and the others would push our League Cup chances into the bin if Real Madrid came along with a £500k per week contract.
  8. This shows how far we are behind when it comes to matchday revenue and commercial. The latter we can improve with sound negotiations, the former we can only really improve by building a new stadium.
  9. And where he could also become a club legend.
  10. When the fun stops, stop. In all honesty, Betfair offers a free £1 acca every so often and one of those ridiculous 7 game accas came in at about 10/1, so I had a little cash in the account. Then there's a £5 free bet builder if you bet £5 on a bet builder. I put Joelinton to commit 2+ fouls, Bruno to be fouled 2+ times and Gordon to get a shot on target, which usually come in at around 1.8/1. So won around £15, plus the £5 free bet builder. I've been doing that same bet for the past few months. and it keeps coming off. So I get about £10 profit, plus £5 free bet builder.
  11. Put £5 on Barcelona who were down 3-1 at half time. Only got 9/2, but still, knowing how fucking bent the officials are when it comes to Barcelona I knew it was easy money.
  12. All seems to come from a report in Fichajes which, after a quick google, seems to be an entirely unreliable source. I'm sure @Diego21 could tell us.
  13. I can't wrap my head around the value of this TBA rule they've brought in? Essentially wages can be 5x the revenue of the poorest club in the PL, right? So, without even looking, this year Ipswich's revenue will be £100m as a bare fucking minimum. So, that means Man City et al are allowed to spend £500m on wages this season. I think they spend around £300m a year. And their spend has to abide by UEFA's FFP rules anyway. So what exactly is this new level of bureaucracy for?
  14. Isn't that Alfie Allen?
  15. That looks right up my gate. Fucked if I'm watch 1 through 23 to catch up though.
  16. Well, that's both impressive and not believable.
  17. Have a I missed the whole "shitting our pants" and/or overreacting period?
  18. Aye but it's not like going to the shops and picking up what you need, it's having the PSR room to spend when the right player becomes available. It'd be great to sell who we want, when we want so we could buy who we want, when we want. But it doesn't work like that. We need to have the cash here and now. Someone wants to give us money for our reserve centreback.
