Most players looked shit under McClaren, to be fair.

Ready To Go, mostly.

Consensus on there is that Newcastle will have to overhaul their playing squad if we're promoted from that "pub league". They're adamant we have one or two Premier League quality players and the others will need to be sold. Trouble is, according to the members of RTG, we've a huge squad on massive wages. Sounds like promotion would be terrible for us, I vote we petition to stay in the Championship for another season.

He's 25, he's not great, he won't demanding a big wage, and we'd be foolish to let him go for nowt. Give him another contract, but if a Championship/Lower Prem club bids for him, I'd not be bothered about losing him.

Contract is up in the summer, he's been consistent and although he certainly has limitations his professionalism and commitment has been exemplary. He's solid if unspectacular, can play left back or centre back, isn't one to disrupt the dressing room and has been loyal to the club. Would you offer him a new deal, even though it's unlikely that he'll be our 1st choice left back in the Premier League?

It does, Wigan are 23rd for a reason. They only have 18pts from a possible 60, but they don't get spanked. What losing by one goal means to me, is that despite facing some of the best attacks in the league, they don't capitulate. You're right that we're a different animal to most they've faced, and we'll prove a sterner test to their defence. This Premier League attack hasn't destroyed all that've come before it and complacency + well drilled defence doesn't scream a pasting, to me. I'm still very confident of the win and I'm sure it'll be comfortable, I just don't think there'll be a spanking handed out. I'd put a bet on <2.5 goals to be honest. Speaking of bets, Newcastle to win and Gayle to score at any time is 17/10, but if you fancy longer odds Clark anytime and Newcastle to win is 14/1, which is genuinely tempting me. -

They do, but by virtue of losing more games than those teams. The 5 you've mentioned have lost by more than one goal the following number of times. Birmingham 5 Ipswich 3 Preston 1 QPR 4 Reading 4 Wigan have played all of the "big" sides in the Championship and met some of the form teams when they were in their pomp (including Villa) and have only lost by more than one goal, once. Says to me, as good as we are, they're not going to roll over and show their belly. It'll be closer than you think. -
I think the main stream media on the right side of that coin are playing a more dangerous game than those on the left.

Wigan are 23rd in the league, worst attack in the division but a stingy defence. Only beaten Wolves and Blackburn at home so far. They don't often get spanked*, with only Reading beating them by more than 1 goal. Two of them came in the first 5 minutes. *I'm going to have to change my prediction from 4+ - 0 -
Yeah and I'm sure we'll sort something. If we can, this could be quality http://www.groupaccommodation.com/properties/crewe-and-harpur-buxton-derbyshire-peak-district essentially a pub you have to yourself.

That looks amazing. Trying to organise a stag do that isn't likely to have the group end up on some God awful Channel 5 show called "Brits and Tits in Split" or the like. Went on one a few years back, a villa in Portugal, and I'm trying to do something similar, but it's hard to find somewhere with the pool, the bar, stuff going on locally that isn't either quite twatty, or outside the modest budget of some of the lads going.

DC just cannot seem to get the movies right. -
There is a lot of shit in the top flight. For all we deserved to go down, we've traditionally been better than the likes of Watford and Middlesbrough. So have Aston Villa until recently.

The whole thing is brilliantly done by people who clearly enjoy their craft, but the soundtrack is the stand out, for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTEsnhhrWUo

If you can get him, Mauricio Lemos is already decent and according to my scouts will be a "Key player". I signed him asap and he's been at my WP feeder club for a few years, finally got a work permit for him, which is handy as I've had to promise Mbemba that if Barcelona come back in with a £40m bid I'll accept it, and they've already offered £38m. Lincoln now counts as home grown, which makes CL registration a lot easier. Are Sunderland doing well on yours? They're consistently a top half club under Giggs on mine.
