  1. Don't go into it expecting Michael Bay style nonsense. It's closer to a western and references that quite blatantly. I really enjoyed it.
  2. I think we could get a few million for them both. Colback would seem a good signing for the majority of the Championship sides. Saivet I dunno, I've no idea how he's done on his loan spell, but stranger things have happened.
  3. No, I know, I just meant if I'm going to have a drink it'll more likely be a beer, a cider or a white wine. Or if it's the summer it's Pimms o'clock
  4. Only really enjoy red wine as an accompaniment to food these days, but a good red wine really improves a dish. Agree with Dr Gloom's suggestions.
  5. Nah, not really. Are you aware of the Wolverine character? If so you've got much of what you need as a starting point.
  6. Aye, it's a shame nobody has bought a bad player before. We'll sell players, we might not get their full "value", but I'm confident that if Rafa gets his way there'll be plenty of changes. I can't see the likes of Toney, Murphy, Sels and de Jong being happy playing reserve football until their contracts run out. There'll be teams interested, and some of those teams will be willing to pay a reasonable sum, and some of those will be fancied by the players.
  7. Mile Castle opens at 8, I think.
  8. I had a longer post in mind, but this sums it up. Of course we're an attractive prospect to players, fucking churlish to say otherwise.
  9. Know someone who had to sell their deceased parent's now empty house. First offer was 5% under asking price, which panicked them a bit, but a week later they'd had a flurry of viewing and ended up getting an offer 5% over the asking price. Dead nice too as the buyers wrote a letter saying how they'd fell in love with the place the minute the walked through the door, they plan to keep it as is (there was a worry the house would be knocked down and the land used for flats or a couple of new build houses or whatever) and the sellers would be welcome to pop in for a cuppa whenever they like. Fuck the South, Northerners are much nicer.
  10. Who do you reckon we'll sell, and how much will we get for them? de Jong - £5m Saivet - £3m Riviere - £1.5m Satka - £0 Toney - £0.5m Armstrong? - £1.5m Vuckic - £0.25m ------- Sels - £4m Haidara - £1m Gamez -£0m Good - £0m Hanley? - £3m Colback - £4m Anita - £0m Ameobi - £3m Gouffran - £0m Aarons? - £1m Murphy - £1m transfermarkt puts their respective market values as above. I've adjusted a few because of their age, contract status or performances (all negatively). Returns about £28m None of them are first team, and few should even get in the squad. That'd do, right?
  11. Haven't we already had that cash? You're right about the perception that there's some huge gap between top of the Championship and bottom of the Premier League. Look at Burnley, Bournemouth, Hull, Watford, and so on, they've got some absolutely garbage "Premier League" players. Chris Brunt, Marc Albrighton, Jeff Hendrick, Dean Marney? Nah, they're "Premier League" players, so better than Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie or Hayden.
  12. Brighton will beat Villa. Put your house on it.
  13. Bear in mind Karanka and Dyche had longer to build their squad than Benitez has. So while their net spend this season is sizeable, that's on top of previous windows.
  14. How low cut was your blouse?
  15. Well, shall we wait for him to confirm? Rather than putting words in his mouth? Would that be a responsible thing to do Rayvin? It would, wouldn't it?
  16. guess we'll just have to wait for @@Happy Face
  17. Where's Happy Face with that graph showing transfer spend? Have we made sufficient profit in the previous windows to have 'banked' about £70m? Or maybe NUFC allocate a set amount of money from their revenue for transfers each season, say £30m?
