  1. I think next time, I should just pick players who are likely to play every week and not be sold to a team outside the PL. That way when I forget to make any changes, I'll still get points.
  2. Easier to sell him if he's contracted and not limping?
  3. Did he get it by having a splash at the beach?
  4. I liked Mandalorian and the Rosario Dawson one to be honest. Thought the new trilogy was close to being good, but at every fork in the road they chose the wrong one. But then again, I'm not the target audience. I'm struggling to think of any good sci-fi, hard or soft, that has come out in ages. Moon? Does the Martian count? But so much is just rehashing original pieces and that's the biggest problem with the latest trilogy, certainly the first of those three.
  5. And frees up dinero for sweeteners for contract renegotiations for our existing better players.
  6. Well, purely because that's a bullshit kick off time I'm not watching.
  7. shocked that this only got one like
  8. Obviously if I wanted to go uber-nerd into the minutiae of the job, the stats, the future plans, how he balances getting his ideas across without overwhelming the players with too much information, I'd stick with Eddie. To have a laugh over a pint with? Howe would be less interesting company, I think.
  9. Also, what's this about? When did you have a pint with Eddie Howe?
  10. Because I don't want to marry a cunt, but I don't mind having a pint with one.
  11. Howe is way too "High Performance podcast" to have a beer with, Klopp might be a bit of a cunt, but at least he's not dull. And if I stopped drinking with cunts, I'd be drinking alone.
  12. Final Outcome - 7th in the league with a chance of European competition. Quarter Final of two domestic cups. Out of the CL in the group stage. 85 goals scored, but 62 goals conceded. The mitigation of injuries goes further than just missing key men, it's also the strain it puts on those left standing, and the need for players like Burn and Longstaff to play despite being injured. To achieve the above while missing >30% of squad by value for 25 league games and 40% for 8 league games, is remarkable. 2 Results - Big results against the likes of PSG, the Manchester clubs in the cups, taking 18pts off the top 7 clubs. The hammering of Sheffield and winning by 3 clear goals on 9 occasions, only losing by 3 on 3 occasions. 1.5 Signings - Livramento and Hall have certainly looked like they'll become our first choice fullbacks, Tonali looked good for those 8 games. Barnes looks a good addition and has scored some important goals. But, Livramento has missed a chunk through injury, Hall is still learning, Tonali has missed the majority of the season and Barnes has as well. 1 Team Performances - Really difficult to judge given the ridiculous injuries we've endured. But, we played superbly in games, PSG and Sheffield spring to mind, as do the Villa games and the cup games against the Manchester clubs. Even with the injuries we've looked sluggish to start, we've lacked the sharpness in our control of the ball and there have been games where we've barely turned up against very beatable opponents. We are 3rd in the league for xG, but 9th for xGA. We have improved our xG from last season (76.98 -> 84.48) and scored more (68-85) but are way more open at the back (41.86->62.46) conceding almost twice as many goals as we did in 22/23 (33-62) 1.5 Player Performances - Gordon and Bruno are my players of the season. They've consistently dragged the team over the line when we've been labouring. Schar and Isak get special mentions too. The latter would surely have scored even more had he been fit. Burn, Longstaff, Almiron, Dubravka have all had moments where you wonder if they'd ever played the game before, but it's only really Dubravka who you can say was playing without the shadow of an injury looming over them. Miley, Hall, Gordon have all improved their game too. 1.5 Overall 7.5
  13. I think Liverpool think we must all love Klopp because they do, and the pundits/journalists/ex-pros do. And look, I don't doubt I'd rather have a pint with Klopp than Howe, but he's a bad loser, he's fully bought into the "It Matters More" horseshit and he's twisting reality to paint Liverpool as plucky underdogs. End of the day you look at the top managers not just on what trophies they've won, but on how they've changed the league. Ferguson did it for ages, Wenger did it and Guardiola has done it. Has klopp changed the league to the same extent? I'd say not. Plus scousers are usually cunts, so there's that.
  14. Haven't checked this after about three weeks into the season? How'd I do? If I'm not bottom we should ban whoever is.
