I told them I'm an atheist and she asked "Aren't you worried about the way the world is going?" in response. Didn't really follow her logical leap, so I just Toried my way out of it "Nah, my life's all right thanks."

Which five clubs have won League Championships in all four flights of English Football? No googling, you pack of bellends.

They caused terror, do 'em for terror offences.

Had a couple of Jehovah's witnesses come knocking on Friday afternoon, fine whatever. But they had a little 10/11yr old girl with them. Can you imagine being dragged round by your mam during half term, knocking on doors and getting, at best, rejected every time?

Exactly. Unless he was 100% sure that he'd be good enough to be 1st choice. Like, if we loaned Eusebio at his peak, then aye, we'd happily agree to a clause saying we had to play him. But we're not, we're loaning Tammy Abraham who's scored as many Premier League goals as I have. -

Sounds like a shit deal then, doesn't it? Have to play him regardless of his performances and if they're good enough we don't have an option to keep him? If someone offered me that deal I'd tell them to fuck off. Abraham was decent at Championship level, but so was Gayle, so was Jordan Rhodes. We'd be better off buying a player now, or loaning someone who doesn't have a deal so heavily weighted against us. -
I wouldn't define him as a crux. Same number of letters though.

"Chelsea will want assurances that he's not just going to sit on the bench" Like they did with Atsu? -

Be interesting to see how Villa, Leeds, Boro and Sunderland fair without us in the league.

Andrew sitting there nervously as the packs open, until... "JAMES PERCH! JAMES PERCH! JAMES PERCH!!!"

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/everton-offered-£8m-for-pickford.1368176/ Yup "Pickford's value is what he is worth to us and what we would accept to let him go. Having the best goalkeeper in the championship plus the cost of replacing him if we let him go must add up to at least £40m and i'd still be trying to persuade him to stay at that." £40m.

Knew to steer clear, or didn't want him at the moment for that price? I don't think he's a success, yet. If they get the rest of the recruitment right, he'll be a dominant force in the Premier League. Look at what he's got around him, a knackered Rooney or a raw Rashford ahead of him, inconsistent arseholes on the flanks in Martial and Lingard. an unsettled midfield around him, no great quality at the back either. Ibrahimovic is the only other outfield player that is of title-challenging quality. It's like Shearer looking done until Sir Bob brought in Robert and Bellamy to change the way we played; if Man Utd bring in players of actual quality Pogba will look a lot better than he did this season.

I think maybe that's because they can buy the tried and tested, the proven few who've shown they can perform on the biggest stage. They have the finances, the renown, competitiveness and ambition. So they can attract the very best, where most of the others lack in one area or other. Players need to be convinced to sign for the Manchester club that looks troubled and on the Wayne ( ) similarly they need to be convinced to sign for Manchester City who, while rich and ambitious, don't have the identity, the renown that their neighbours enjoy. It seems nobody needs to be convinced to sign for Real Madrid.
