  1. We don't know how far along deals are, it's entirely possible that we sign two or three tomorrow for all we know. Far too many pants being pissed on twitter. Chronicle might not be getting the message across in the right way, in the right terms, but the jist is the same; Stop being massive fannies.
  2. How did he do goal-scoring wise? Never prolific me. Where did your goals/assists come from?
  3. Working from home today, thank God. Off to get a gallon of lucozade, a bacon butty and some aspirin.
  4. As an aside the point wasn't "We're going to do well" it was "We're going to sign someone, stop panicking." That that point eluded you, is of no great surprise. Bambaclart.
  5. Could be the photo, but that looking like a velour football shirt. Does it have "Juicy" in glitter on the back?
  6. Well, that's 33% of the Pickford money gone on a lad that played about a dozen times, and now plies his trade elsewhere. Fucking Hell.
  7. Thought Gadot and Pine's chemistry was decent, good action sequences on the beach, in the alley and across no-man's land. Some snappy dialogue, and it fleshes out the DCEU in much the same was as the 1st Captain America film did for the MCU. It's the best film in the DCEU so far, imo, but that's because the missteps in the others have been pretty bad. That said the majority of the support characters were instantly forgettable, the antagonists were paper thin and held no menace, the large set pieces were the kind of CGI I expect to see in lower budget films, certainly not up to scratch for a movie that was supposed to strengthen DC's movie arm. Gadot did nail Wonder Woman's character though, imo. The message was heavy handed (the parade past people that they "couldn't help"), the nod to Nolan's Batman line about not being the hero they deserve, but the one they need/don't deserve it but need saving, and so on. But this is DC, they don't do subtle messages on the whole.
  8. I keep forgetting Moyes walked away, rather than getting the boot.
  9. You reckon the monies for Pickford and (likely) Kone and Ndong aren't going to be made available to the new man to rebuild a squad?
  10. Moyes would have to stop listening to Pearl Jam and crying in a dark room first. (couldn't think of a properly sad band)
  11. Makes sense, but it's still remarkable that a manager would want to ply his trade in a league that is so unbalanced that despite finishing 2nd three years in a row they've got got pretty much no chance of winning the thing. On a personal development front, surely he's got a better chance of managing in the Premier League by taking Sunderland up, than he has of a team from the English top flight taking a punt on him?
  12. I mean, Sunderland in the Championship is still a big step up from Aberdeen so there must be a shituation behind the scenes that he wants nowt to do with. We all know they're broke, but I can't imagine Aberdeen have a warchest, I wonder what else is going on?
  13. Got to think of someone unexpected and exciting but possible. Arnautovic?
