  1. Plus he had a sister who died "mysteriously", which is pretty likely to mean "at the hands of his brother".
  2. Not any more, he'd quit the King's Guard. That was part an awareness that he'd need money or powerful friends to escape the Lannister's wrath, and part of an ongoing theme of the redemption of Cripples, Bastards and Broken things when faced with genuine evil/setbacks.
  3. I think it boils down to "I like comic book movies and you're wrong for not liking them".
  4. Water off a fish's back to be honest. Mostly I just type out the big posts because I want to have an opinion and until I write it out I've no idea what it will be
  5. Killed the butcher's boy, makes reference to murdering women before, and that's aside from likely killing lots and lots of men. The way he casually knocked that man with the cart to the ground and was going to kill him suggests he's done similar before and thought nothing of it. I'm pretty sure he's done worse in the books too. So while in comparison to Joffrey and Ramsey he's a saint, he's still a terrible person.
  6. Aye, he's had two swings at the Premier League and whiffed both times. Not an exciting link and that's for sure. I'm assuming Yedlin will be 1st choice right back and Manquillo will be used when Yedlin's injured/tired/suspended? If it happens, that is. Gamez can play both flanks can't he?
  7. "Worst place in the world" or something like that. If I was Sheeran, I would have wanted a big death. I'm sure I read/heard that some kid off youtube that did impressions of GoT characters was offed in the scene where the Hound comes across 4 men sitting around a fire. The one where he swings the axe up into a bloke's cock and balls? This guy http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/game-of-thrones-steve-love-cameo-1.3632639
  8. Rumours we're after Manquillo. He of the uninspiring Liverpool and Sunderland seasons...
  9. See I reckon Arya will decide not to kill them (the whole "be kind to strangers" setup), something/someone causes alarm and she has to murder them all. With poor old fish eyes getting a "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" from Arya as she pushes the sword into his heart.
  10. Aye, if he'd sang his song, said "It's a new one" and then shut the fuck up I wouldn't have cared. But his 2nd line just jarred. Surprised to see the young lad from This is England pop up, can only imagine he's going to die a sad death.
  11. This is the movie thread, I talk about movies. If people don't want to read my posts they can stop whining and just skim over it like a grown up? Honestly, you lot aren't happy unless you're complaining about something
  12. Asked the Norwich fans if they thought he was a good signing for us,
  13. You could always just not read them. It's dead easy, I don't read most of the politics thread. I don't read the guitar thread. And I'll not read your bitchy shite either
  14. They've had some shite and not a lot of shine, haven't they. I mean, Bent and Phillips were good goalscorers, Henderson has become a good player, Johnson's talent is wiped out by his nonce sense, but aside from them I can't think of many real standout players. And bear in mind they're in the top 10 spenders in the Premier League, so it's not like they've been penny pinching. Forget about us, look at the players that have turned out for Everton, Spurs, Villa, even Middlesbrough ffs.
  15. Fuck... have we cursed it?
  16. One of the lads keeps suggesting it for Mbemba and it bothers me. Haven't had a proper cocktail in ages, probably Old Fashioned or a Tom Collins?
  17. No, I don't think youngsters play their entire careers in one position. I do think young players' attributes lend themselves to one area of the pitch and the best players specialise in that area, there are rare exceptions but mostly the 21yr old who makes his debut at left wing will usually stay there. I also think that experienced centrebacks who've played most if not their entire professional career in that position should probably stick to that position in their twilight years. No problem with a certain type of striker moving back to attacking midfielder, then central mid, then deep lying playmaker as their movement and pace dwindle but their creativity, technique and vision can still be of use. I don't think that a centreback should move forward into a busy area which would have highlighted his weaknesses and ignored his strengths. I've seen it said about Albert, Woodgate, Mbemba, and Coloccini. In fact any centre back that isn't in the John Terry mould. It is daft.
  18. I've been busy arguing that Super Hero movies are mint as fuck.
