Surely this means they're closing Strawberry place for matchdays? -
Surprised it's taken you this long to get blocked by Ryder, that's like a level 1 achievement on twitter.

They'll sharp sort out a move if they're told they're not going to be registered for the league squad. -
I'm thinking of getting a sandwich maker again.

I would take a boring season that means we survive, if you offered it right now. Plus 0-0 every game means an invincible season :smoke_1: Exactly, we need a strong squad that can pick up the slack the lack of a top striker leaves. Pace down the flanks, a mobile poacher up front, a well drilled defence and a decent 'keeper. We'll be ok without an established 20+ striker, plenty of other teams were. In fact, last season 10 Premier League teams survived without a striker who notched more than 15 goals. (Burnley 10, Crystal Palace 15, Leicester 13, Liverpool 13, Southampton 7, Stoke 7, Swansea 15, Watford 10, West Brom 8 & West Ham 9). Sunderland had a 15 goal striker and finished bottom. -

I've no idea how good this kid is or will be, and I don't like the idea of losing good young prospects to other clubs. However, we won't be playing him this season, and we have to put survival above all other longer term concerns this year. We survive and we get the £100m from the tv money, we keep Benitez, we can attract a better standard of player, we can afford to put faith in younger prospects and we can take the cups more seriously. £6m may not buy the player that secures safety, but it could mean we go for a £35m player rather than a £29m player, or it could pay the wages of the striker or the #10 we need. As a one off I've no problem with it, Southampton have done all right selling their youth... If you don't concede, you don't lose, it's even simpler. -

That's all well and good, but what if we can't? What if we can't spend £40m on one player? -

No it isn't. It's securing a long term future in the Premier League by selling a kid who hasn't featured in Benitez' plans at all, even though we were in the Championship. We need to survive this season, if we bounce back into the Championship we won't keep Rafa, and we'll get less in parachute payments. What's more likely to make a difference to our season, £6m or a teenaged defender that's never kicked a ball in a professional game? He's still on a Youth contract meaning he can leave if he wants and we're just receiving a compensation fee. For all we know we've offered him a professional deal and he prefers to move to one of two clubs who have a history of bringing youth through and who're up the other end of the table. -

I want one, I think we need one, but I'm not convinced we'll get one. How much will a 20 goal a season cost us? £40m? Can't see that happening. -

Forest fans on Murphy http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=46044 Nonplussed is the probably the best way to describe their overall reaction to the rumours, which quickly pivot to "kind of makes sense", and "should provide us with X that was missing" -

To be fair £6m is worth more to us now than a 15yr old kid who's not even started a reserve game (so I'm told). It's good to see the academy has produced someone of quality, but right now, this season, we would benefit more from the £6m than a teenager. -

I genuinely cannot look at that photograph without laughing.

This is what I'm hoping. He's a more defensive fullback than Yedlin so may be used in the same way Anita was?
-
Couldn't it also be that he's buying the players he needs for this season, knowing that because we've less money than most clubs (thanks to missing out on the 15/16 tv money) and because this is the first window where fees have really gone nuts, we can't afford to buy the kind of player we'd need for a top half finish. Sigurdsson having a £50m price tag is mental. And we'd need a few players of his caliber to get where Benitez ultimately wants us? So, while we're taking a small step this year, Benitez's aim is still to take this club back up where he think it belongs eventually?

Really? Class, Jamall just doesn't give a fuck.

Plus he had a sister who died "mysteriously", which is pretty likely to mean "at the hands of his brother".

Not any more, he'd quit the King's Guard. That was part an awareness that he'd need money or powerful friends to escape the Lannister's wrath, and part of an ongoing theme of the redemption of Cripples, Bastards and Broken things when faced with genuine evil/setbacks.
