  1. Isn't "work" slang for con? Just saying, the clues are all there.
  2. Fireworks are total bullshit as well. All that light, noise and concussive force from a thing the size of a Daschund? Nah, it's bullshit.
  3. Not with my own eyes, therefore it doesn't exist. Natural Science baby
  4. I'm curious to see the new books, a few major plot points have been tied up by the show already, some major characters in books have either been killed already, or just wiped from the story entirely. Victarion, Aegon, Mance Rayder, Brynden Tully... Rickon has gone off to Skagos
  5. Yes. everything after "balls" was just silly.
  6. Three people riding dragons is a huge part of GoT lore. I can't see any dragon actually dying. Although one dying and being brought back by a Red Priest/ess would be kind of cool.
  7. Imagine if she had tried to prove the existence of ice zombies. Only Varys would flat out refuse to entertain the idea because a wizard took his balls, then when Jon and Davos show up and independently tell the same story Dany takes her Dragons up North, sets fire to great swathes of the legions of the dead and Jon and the others mop up the rest. Then Jon bends the knee/marries his aunt and they turn their combined forces on Cersei, who's stabbed in the back by Jamie as Tyrion has some lovely banter with Varys. Theon heroically buckles his uncle's swash. Sam is revealed to be GRRM this whole time. Bran travels back in time and tells himself not to climb the wall. Oh and Littlefinger gets skullfucked by the Mountain. Jesus, I'm so glad they cut that from the show. Imagine weeks of Tyrion becoming a trusted adviser of a young lad who (going by the Show) doesn't matter a fucking jot. It'd be worse than Arya's house of Black and White storyline.
  8. If not her, who else? Northern armies are in Winterfell. The Army of the Vale is in Winterfell Unsullied are stuck in Casterly Rock Dornish army is either still in Dorne or at the bottom of the sea and, importantly, has no leader. Brothers without Banners are in the North and are way too small a force to jack an army The Tully Army will still be in Riverrun or scattered to the wind and unless Edmure has rescued his wife and kid John Maclean style, I can't see him leading a force to face the Lannister's.
  9. Aye, and Jon didn't do a very good job of making his case. They've killed loads of wights, why haven't they kept a hand in a jar for a maester to inspect? One problem I have; The Red Woman knows about the Night King, she wants that to be the focus, so why didn't she tell Dany about it before Jon arrived. "Here, Dragon Tits, I'm off cos these two aren't my biggest fans, but before I do, there's this geet big army of dead people lead by Darth Maul and this mopey cunt needs your help defeating them, or we're all fucked. Cheers, tarah Oh and, for dinner? don't suggest a barbecue... or kebabs. Ok thanks byeee"
  10. You think? Makes sense going by the the name of the episode, "The Spoils of War". Also GRRM loves to knacker someone's plan just after they think it's succeeded. So Cersei's joy will turn to ash in her mouth when the Iron Bank demand their money that's now on it's way to Dragonstone.
  11. Be interesting to see how Olenna's revelation will affect the Lannister siblings. Jamie will surely tell Cersei and try to mend some wounds, Cersei will be impervious and that'll drive the wedge between them further. Dany will be pissed off that her hand has failed tactically on 3? occasions now. She needs a Selmy as the others aren't great; Jon is too emotional, Tyrion tries to be too clever, Yara is captured, Varys doesn't seem to have his flock of birds and the red woman is leaving. Jorah will surely head for Dragonstone, but that's some distance and he's as likely to bump into some random on the way (Jamie and the Lannister army?) ads he is to disappear for most of the season. Either that or he'll just catch the Euron Red Eye and turn up in episode 4
  12. To be fair, we've no idea how long it took him to sail his fleet from KL to CR, nor how fast sailed boats can travel in this setting. Maybe they can travel twice or three times as fast as those in reality? Maybe Euron took a fortnight to travel the distance? Maybe they set off for CR and were to arrive before the Unsullied army (which also had to travel great distances but on foot or on slower boats), but held back to trap them in a bay? I wouldn't worry so much about timing, it's existed throughout the show's run and teleporting armadas are preferable to boring shots of ships sailing on open seas, or someone setting off and being forgotten about until the season's end. Re: the Tyrells, they're powerful politically and financially but have never been a particularly powerful military force and they just came up against a surprise attack by that world's largest, best trained, best organised army. Oh and when I say "Surprise attack" I don't mean Jamie turned up at the front door unannounced. Sure the Tyrells may have had a week of notice, but that's hardly enough time to muster their forces, especially when one of their key bannermen (Tarly) has joined the other side.
  13. At first I thought they'd just spelled it wrong twice, but they've somehow managed to spell it differently in the same document. They are fucking Poundland aren't they?
  14. Arsenal supporting mate thinks he'd be good for us. Says he was a good contributor and a good goal scorer. Says he thinks Perez should have been played more often.
  15. Quite the discussion about the existence or not of a rotten core
  16. Took me a second read to realise you weren't describing their on field defending as nonce-like.
  17. Hope it works out for him, but on reading that it does sound like he'd be better suited nailing his colours to a good manager and the two of them carving very good careers together.
  18. To be fair that was an early preseason run out and I was in attendance which is usually a portent of doom. James Vaughan, Lewis Grabban both signed. I think there'll be a big wake up call when they watch Championship games regularly. The prevailing opinion seems to be that because they've got "Premier League players" they'll be much better than the 2nd flight teams. It's stuff like this- In truth they don't have a single player that stands out as a "top" championship player. Even their best remaining player, Kone, has apparently looked disinterested in preseason suggesting he'll be off. Lens is attracting bids. I don't think they'll be relegated, there's sufficient shit in the 2nd flight for them to comfortably avoid that ignominy. As it stands I can't see them coming straight back up though. I expect them to finish behind Aston Villa, Boro, Shef Wed, Fulham, Leeds, Reading, Wolves, Hull, plus maybe teams like Birmingham City or Norwich? We saw how Villa fucked it up and how Norwich had a disappointing year. I'd be shocked if Sunderland did better than them without significant investment and shrewd business.
