  1. 0-1 and bedrooms across the region flooding immediately.
  2. Didn't Moyes and McInnes turn the job down?
  3. Dunno if it's Grayson, the players, or whatever, but something is rotten in the state of No-mark.
  4. Metrolink isn't particularly comfortable like. It is reliable, cheap and clean though.
  5. I don't think Martin and I will snag a trophy wife over brunch.

  8. Aye, lots of trophy wives driving white Range Rover Evoques, with a tiny dog in a massive hand bag.
  9. I'm definitely pre-ordering it. 25% off something I'm definitely going to buy anyway? Oh aye, yes please. fwiw, I think we'll be entirely shite in the new version.
  10. http://www.altrinchammarket.co.uk/ ? Dunno if they do eggs benedict, because I haven't checked, because I don't like eggs, because eggs are a chicken's period. Oh, where are you actually staying?
  11. Your home ground can't be your bogey ground, jesus christ.
  12. Anyone seen any press about this yet? Seems to be going under the RADAR but it's getting released November 10th.
  13. I think that's where my aversion to buses comes from. Used to be one bus every 30 minutes and it would take 45 minutes to an hour to get into town. Get unlucky with the bus and it went through Backworth adding another 15 minutes on top. Fuck buses.
  14. It was absolutely worth dodging the fare when the fine was something like £10. I figured that if I was getting the Metro twice a day, 5 or 6 days a week at about £2 a journey, I could get caught twice a week and I'd still be coming out on top.
  15. I've heard nothing but criticism of the Metro recently. Used to be a great, free, mass transit system for Newcastle, but not long after hooking up to Sunderland it's gone to shit.
  16. Older than Mitro who's been written off by some of the fanbase already.
  17. It's a couple of things, imo. Chiefly it's his inconsistency. We've seen him play well against a range of opposition, but lapses in concentration lead to giving the ball away cheaply, poor final balls, or disappointing shots. Secondly it's the position; #10's in a 4-2-3-1 have a great deal of responsibility to keep the rhythm going. They're the fulcrum, more so than the wide players or the central midfielders. So we notice his fuck ups more because they're during crucial passages of play. #10s are under more pressure to get it right, first time, in tighter spaces, at a quicker pace while receiving more attention. Ultimately we could really do with a better player in that position, because consistency and concentration are almost prerequisites of that role.
  18. Nah he's shite, Newcastle overpaid for him, he won't score, he'll be on massive wages, and Newcastle won't be able to shift him.
  19. 4-5-1 isolates the lone striker more, especially with the more attacking midfielder of the three being Jonjo Shelvey.
  20. Anita Colback - absentee receptionist.
  21. I get what you're saying about sacrificing good investments to try and fix a bad one, and perhaps it's my attitude to risk, but I'd rather turn around a bad investment to make it an ok investment and then offload it, rather than write off that money all together. To me, that money isn't lost to Short yet. If he wanted out, he should have dumped Premier League Sunderland at a bargain price of £150m, say. Because, as it stands, they're not worth that and without investment they're only going to reduce in value. Best case scenario for who?
