He says he's happy to sell, but the price tag seems high and he's known for shifting the goalposts (apparently), on top of that the only thing he's ever cared about is the promotion of Sports Direct so I wouldn'tbe surprised if he insists on some kind of SD deal for merchandise or whatever. I dunno, perhaps I am being too cynical, but if Staveley wants to buy a Premier League club I'm convinced Ashley and his cronies would prove too much of a pain in the arse to deal with?

That's the kernel of my concerns. Ashley is a notoriously difficult negotiator, and Barnes apparently has a reputation for being a pain the arse.

It's interesting, when the parts click, they're excellent. But there must be something to explain why, when they stop clicking, they struggle so much to win games. They have the talent, the workrate, the invention and "game management". He doesn't seem able to get them to grind out a win. That might be a lack of a goal scorer who can have a pretty quiet game, but still be relied upon to put the ball in the back of the net like Kane, Lukaku, Joselu. Or it might be that Klopp's coaching is lacking that department.

My hopes were never particularly high that we were going to be bought out, as Rayvin says, things that good just don't happen to Newcastle United, but that is still disappointing. If she is brokering a deal for Liverpool, I can't imagine she'll be brokering a deal for Newcastle any time soon.

Yeah that's where I'm at too. It's interesting to speculate, but honestly even if there are wealthy investors keen to pour money into resuscitating the club, Ashley will firmly press the pillow over the sleeping giant's face.

Honestly can't remember the last time I actually watched an England game throughout. It's so divorced from the game I know and love now. I'd genuinely rather watch a lower league game on tv, than the shit England offer up. Not just the tactics, or the players, but christ the Fans are awful pricks.
