To be fair, and not to be ornery, plenty of people were moaning about Mourinho parking the bus at Anfield. I personally don't have a problem with it, it makes sense to deny your rivals points and go for wins where it's more likely. Against an attacking, if profligate, team like Liverpool, I totally understand shutting up shop. The same people moaning about Mourinho altering his tactics to nullify their threat would have been moaning about when Wenger turned up at Anfield looking to play expansive football and were torn apart. I haven't seen any of the Palace game against Chelsea, were they much improved, or was it a case of one of the match winners turning up for a change?

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Grayson accepts a smaller pay off, just to get out of that shitshow. However if relegation is a genuine concern, they'll panic and bin him off.

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.

Fair enough. Echo what others are saying, but I can't remember that last time I saw a Newcastle team this organised, this well drilled with or without the ball. they all know their jobs and while the player's ability might be a limiting factor, the coaching and strategy definitely isn't. always feels like there's a plan. Bringing on Gayle makes sense as the game was becoming stretched, Perez was getting tired, so if we've got three players in the centre we mitigate the lack of pressing from Perez and given Merino and Shelvey's eye for a pass we would look to put balls into the channels for Atsu/Murphy, Gayle and the Yo-yo at rightback. (Unfortunately Gayle was crocked so we were playing the last 10 minutes or so with no outlet.) Thing is, despite drawing the game, you can look at how it panned out and see the plan was sound. Pardew throwing on a leftback on 65 minutes was evidence that there was never a plan.

I reckon they'll get shot of Grayson in time for the new manager bounce to keep them up, but the wheels will wobble next season until they switch the manager again. Same formula they followed in the top flight. I do think they've got enough to stay up this season, there's a lot of shite at the bottom end of that league and Grayson tends to start slowly, apparently.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but do you reckon the quality of opposition is influencing your opinion?

Poor Lawro, it's kind of like the gambler's fallacy.

Lawro's predicted another loss for us. If his predictions were right here's how the table would look: POS TEAM P W D L PTS +/- 1 Man Utd 7 7 0 0 21 +1 2 Tottenham 7 6 1 0 19 +1 3 Man City 7 5 2 0 17 -2 4 Arsenal 7 5 1 1 16 +1 5 Liverpool 7 4 3 0 15 +2 6 Bournemouth 7 4 1 2 13 +13 7 Chelsea 7 3 3 1 12 -3 8 Southampton 7 3 1 3 10 +4 9 West Ham 7 2 3 2 9 +6 10 Burnley 7 2 1 4 7 -4 11 Crystal Palace 7 2 1 4 7 +9 12 Everton 7 2 1 4 7 +4 13 Leicester 7 2 1 4 7 +4 14 West Brom 7 2 1 4 7 -4 15 Stoke 7 1 3 3 6 -2 16 Swansea 7 2 0 5 6 +2 17 Brighton 7 1 1 5 4 -3 18 Watford 7 1 1 5 3 -10 19 Huddersfield 7 0 3 4 3 -8 20 Newcastle 7 0 3 4 3 -11

You need a safe space Pepe?
-
That is excellent news. £6m is a snip.
-
Dunno if Forest would let us have him back.
-
Any news on Ritchie? I know he picked up a knock and withdrew from the Scotland squad.
-
Can only assume Parky is being deliberately contrary. He probably misses Wolfy.
-
He's sexually harassed people for years and that's not ok?

Did she blindside you? -
I am defeated. Different rules for different universes, but in those universes the rules have to be consistent.

Aye I tend to make 4 portions of whatever and freeze the rest.
-
Will do. Trying to branch out a bit as I tend to get stuck in a loop of making the same shit over and over.
