  1. We marked it by having a couple of mates round, eating mexican and having a couple of beers What a Thursday that was
  2. Did that through Uni, and London. Now I'm 37 (thanks for the birthday thread you double scoop of paedojizz icecream) I can't be arsed to deal with the inevitable crushing sense of regret.
  3. That's why God gave men corybantic nose, ear and eyebrow hair.
  4. Should definitely be a lesbian tailors called "Her suit".
  5. Don't do that, I'll end having to put you all neatly back together again, in alphabetical order.
  6. Used it before at Uni, gave me some simple things I can do to be well (eating properly, exercising, talking, etc.), how to manage when it feels like it's too much; talking, making lists, doing 2 minute jobs with a clear sense of completion (washing up, making the bed, etc.), also advice about how to spot triggers and symptoms. I found it useful, but it won't be for everyone. tbh, I've been on top of it for nigh on 20yrs, but I've packed a lot of stress into about 18 months. Moving (twice), two jobs, wedding, and so on. I've obviously not been managing myself properly and it's all been piling up on top of itself.
  7. It was part of the solutioning we blue skyed in our face to face, something to action moving forward.
  8. Wouldn't worry, he's the type to wear white socks and sandals.
  9. Seen a lot of big life changes in the past 2yrs and haven't been looking after myself properly. Work noticed a few tells and my manager had a quick chat to see if everything was ok, which prompted me to reach out. So just had the results of my mental health assessment back. Moderate to severe depression, severe anxiety (which is what I was expecting), but now "symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" which a new twist Don't get BUPA through work until December and so I'm on the waiting list with the NHS. So basically lads, if I start turning the website on and off exactly 12 times, don't fret it's all good
  10. "Magnetic Sandals" playing tonight at the Cluny, £8 in, £5 concessions.
  11. Thing is, we only faced poor opposition because the other big guns failed to get far enough to face us, despite facing the same shit we did. Also, England essentially threw that game against Belgium. There are many positives to take from this World Cup, not just the feel good factor. The core of that side will be better in 2 years time, plus Foden, Sancho, Sessegnon will likely be in the squad too. I think it’s churlish to paint it as a failure or to dismiss the first semi-final in nigh on 30 years.
  12. Allardyce's England would have lost to Tunisia, drawn with Panama and Belgium. Rooney would have finished the tournament as our top goal scorer with 2 and the press would have slaughtered Fat Sam. I thought England played some decent stuff throughout the tournament and some of the squad enhanced their reputations. Reaching the Semi-Finals of the World Cup shouldn't be sniffed at, regardless of the teams faced en route. Other England squads wouldn't have beaten that Colombian side, wouldn't have strolled past Sweden, some wouldn't have got out the group and some wouldn't even have got to the World Cup in the first place. My wife never gave a shit about football until this tournament, but last night she was kicking every ball and was gutted when England were knocked out. So at least in my case, actually football did come home.
  13. Happy that it looks like we're signing Kenedy, albeit on loan. Underwhelmed with Ki to be honest.
  14. Think the disorder has as much to do with the heat and an overarching sense of disenfranchisement, as any pervasive "England disease". Little difference between this and the Notting Hill riots a few years ago, imo. Mostly kids waiting for an event to spark a reaction. Wasn't there widely reported instances of US sports fans tearing their cities apart after a win/loss? There's also this; https://www.scmp.com/news/world/united-states-canada/article/2132163/why-do-us-sports-fans-riot-after-win-science-behind
  15. I agree, but with the officiating the way it is these days, it's forcing the players to look ridiculous. Hopefully one of the side effects of VAR will be shit like that in the box decreasing.
  16. Simply? Players don't trust the ref to apply the laws of the game if they don't exaggerate contact.
  17. There were some great movies in the 90s. Jurassic Park, the Matrix, but that raft of movies are timeless classics to be fair.
  18. Aye, Butland's been playing to a decent level for years, and Pope just had a brilliant season. Pickford faced a shit ton of shots at Sunderland and looked decent because of that, but honestly, he was terrible for Everton this season. I've not been on RTG in ages, are they all still fully behind Stewart Donald, or have they begun to see him for what he so obviously is?
  19. How in the Hell are you getting away with that?
  20. Jorgensen looked a mixed bag against Australia. Lovely assist but times where he made the wrong decision and looked pedestrian. Dunno if I'm happy we didn't sign him or not. He's certainly better than Joselu.
