  1. Some are up in arms because their midweek win over Tranmere wasn't mentioned enough on the local BBC morning news.
  2. Had he stayed fit, he could have been a top striker. Could have been great at Anfield because they'd bought a player who should put in on a plate for him in Downing, but then played the wrong style under Dalglish. Injuries aside I think he had all the attributes, not just the physical side of things but he took up good positions and all that.
  3. You're shite. (but you're tight the tv show is bollocks)
  4. Loosely based on a Neil Gaiman comic character.
  5. Have to admit the line about "Sid, who famously wore a bra" caught my eye.
  6. Probably scoring for Serbia because they were playing Lithuania, and Fulham because they're playing in the Championship.
  7. Kind of thing you expect to see on a twitter bio. "Family. BCFC. BREXIT. Tell it like it is"
  8. Whiff of gammon about that statement to be fair.
  9. I wouldn't criticise VAR, we've benefited from it quite a lot already.
  10. Seen they've a thread about top 5 realistic appointments. Names include, but are not limited to; Allardyce, Hughton, Sean "7th in the Premier League" Dyche, Roy Keane, Sewpa Kev, Arteta! I particularly enjoyed 2 year project to get back to the Premier League
  11. That was one of the lines that jared most from his interview with Samuel. "He's a prince and got £30bn, why would he argue over £10m?" Because he's not a fucking moron, and you've got £1bn, why are you quibbling over £10m?? £10m isn't an irrelevance, even if you're Carlos Slim. If we go down and stay down I can see him slashing costs, dumping assets to try and clawback the debt we owe, then selling us for far less than the £300m he's reportedly demanding.
  12. Your point is well taken, but as this was a film focussed solely on the incidents that lead to the birth of the Joker persona it jars a little. Even more so because it has a weighty actor in the starring role. Feels an attempt at a canonical telling of his origin, rather than versions of an origin in closed off universe like in Moore's Killing Joke, or Burton's Batman. Burton's Joker was pretty 2D and throw away, Moore's was more rounded but part of a broader story. I anticipate all you cunts being cunts and I think you're all cunts for cunting on like cunts.
  13. Has the feel of an England qualifier for me, happy they won, glad a local lad scored on his debut, happy to see the baddies lose... but it hasn't made much of a difference to my weekend. Not like it should.
  14. There's rumours of a takeover, some apparently expecting to become the richest club in England.
  15. I'm enjoying their troubles, but the obviousness of the way out of the mess just makes it funnier.
  16. Surely the owners need to take some time to hash out a proper plan. Cull the current squad bar academy products. Bring in some ambitious promising manager and give him the foundations from which to build. Explain the plan to the fans and hope to get them on board.
  17. Thought this was a one and done? Not sure how I feel about watching a Joker origin story when part of the character's appeal is his mystery.
  18. I'd imagine loads of them are loving it, but given we're not a threat to anybody any more, I'd wager there'd be a fair amount of sympathy outside of a few bitter enclaves around Teesside, Wearside, Liverpool, Small Heath, East London and Leeds.
