Just from what I'm seen on RTG, there seems to be a mood change towards Short. Shit but well meaning. Probably because their savours have turned out to be the fucking chancers we pegged them for from day 1.

Lost on penalties tonight at Oxford. Will Grigg apparently ballooned one over the bar. Same Will Grigg who was apparently so "on fire" seriously skint Sunderland smashed the League One transfer record to spend £3m on his goal scoring talent. Same Will Grigg who has as many League goals as a striker for the "biggest club in the division" as Fabian Schar, a centre back for one of the worst teams in the league.

They're a big scalp purely because the rest of that division are teams like Oxford, Wycombe and Accrington Stanley. Who, with all due respect, are minnows. If Sunderland stay down there for much longer, you're right, they'll stop being a scalp, just like Portsmouth have.

You think if they stay down in League one for another season they'll shift focus on a rivalry with a team down there instead? Must be hard to stir yourself into trying to have go at us, surely easier to havea a go at Doncaster or someone?

Just had a browse of RTG and they're talking about which players did well, or poorly. I realised I don't recognisemost if any bar Grigg and that's mostly because of the song. I don't mean "I couldn't name one of their players" I mean, even when I've seen their names I couldn't tell you who the fuck they are, where they used to be, or what position they play.

Had he stayed fit, he could have been a top striker. Could have been great at Anfield because they'd bought a player who should put in on a plate for him in Downing, but then played the wrong style under Dalglish. Injuries aside I think he had all the attributes, not just the physical side of things but he took up good positions and all that.
