  1. Maybe so, but bringing in a replacement alongside an established player is one thing, replacing both starting centrebacks is a whole other problem, right? You might be right any way, though.
  2. I wonder if Fulham's approach for Anderson is having an impact on these negotiations? If Palace were to lose Anderson and Guehi in one window, they'll need to spend a lot to replace them effectively. Also, if Guehi is the higher valued player, Palace must at least appear to play hardball for him, so that Fulham don't see them as a soft touch? I dunno, I'm just asking questions.. Get off my fucking back, you cunts.
  3. Bear in mind he signed a 7yr deal and, as I understand it, the amortisation goes across 5yrs. So his £42.5m fee is spread across those 5yrs, not 7, and certainly not these extra 2 years. The fee was £42.5m (£8.5m p.a.), less the year he's served there leaves £34m, so the yearly commitment drops to £6.8m.
  4. not one of those is Matty Longstaff man.
  5. Depends if he saw his daughter beforehand or not.
  6. Depends what you're after I guess. I thought Oppenheimer was great cinema. I enjoyed Barbie too. Also, CGI is a stick used to beat modern movies, but to be honest bad CGI is usually because the studios don't give the CGI artists enough time or money to get the job done right. Good CGI isn't praised because often you don't notice it. I don't blame the tool, or even the craftsmen, I blame the studios. Just curious, what was the last film you actually enjoyed?
  7. I haven't even pressed play, but I guarantee Renton hates it because "there's been no decent music since" the 50s or whenever he was a kid.
  8. Aye, I've got zero interest in watching an origin story for Furiosa. She wasn't mysterious enough a character for me to give a shit. First film she was in told me everything I needed to know about the character. Buuuuuut Fury Road was an absolute blast.
  9. We watched it at an IMAX with the whole wobbly seats and all that. It was an amazing piece of cinema in that environment, don't think it'd be anywhere near as good at home.
  10. Look, we can all agree that I've made some mistakes, but I'll learn from them and do better. Or I won't. Either way, Renton is wrong.
  11. Bruno Joelinton Tonali Willock Longstaff Lewis Miley Jamie Miley Hayden
  12. Hah, fair point. But it's such a good film, it deserves to be part of anyone's watching list
  13. How much of an impact will this dissension have, though? The rabid MAGA-loons will vote for Trump regardless of what he does, says, is arrested for.
  14. So, these aren't even your ratings? What the fuck is this shit? Be a man!
  15. Mostly just to see what films that are terrible that CT rates. I'll admit horror isn't my thing, but Hereditary, Get Out, Train to Busan all got good reviews on there release? Sci Fi - Arrival, Ex Machina, Mad Max Fury Road, Arrival, Annihilation, Interstellar, Dune, Fantasy is trickier. But the Dungeons and Dragons film was a laugh, I guess? War - Hacksaw Ridge, Dunkirk, Openheimer, 1917 Crime - Knives Out, Promising Young Woman, Good Time, Hell or High Water, Nightcrawler, Prisoners None of them sequels, none of them remakes, no Marvel film or DC,
  16. @Christmas Tree I'd like a list of ten films, from 1 to 10. I want to see how your system works?
  17. I only recently learned that professor comes before other honorifics. Like Professor Sir Stephen Hawking.
  18. Saw something on twitter that makes sense, it's likely because they're going to re-release the original.
