Even then, it's the idea of Khusanov people would have wanted. Few will have known his name, fewer still would know if he's any good. We still don't know.
-
Well, I'd say £100m would be the very bottom of what we could expect to spend
-
I'm just saying we'll probably spend more than £100m

Doing well to be senior lecturer at just 18yr old. Might help us be the first club in the PL to be run solely on renewable energy? 100% Carbon Neutral, you'll never sing that!

Louise Taylor positively effervescent of gusset there because a player turned us down.

Thing is, we've got into 5th, level on points with 4th. We've not needed Almiron or Kelly (played 356 minutes in total). I mean, Krafth and Trippier have played more than Almiron and Kelly have respectively. Almiron is not a vital cog in the machine. The scant minutes he's been getting could easily be given to Sanusi or Osula or whomever. So, with that in mind, I don't think it's as risky a gamble as it's being made out to be. It's not like we're selling Dan Burn. Mitchell doesn't get an endless free pass, but it bears repeating. He joined late into the summer window, winter window is always a difficult one to bring in quality, and we've got little PSR wriggle room to do business in January anyway.

Pablo Aimar MKII in that he looks like he should be amazing, but it never really works out.

Morgan is a threat, but you're right, there's no real striking options if Duran AND Watkins go.
-
Well, I think that's the PSR problems all sorted.

I think a loan with an option/obligation sounds great. But teams are unlikely to be in a position to loan out an attacker who'd bother our first team at this stage of the season. A young attacker from abroad would be good. The second line escalates extremely quickly. a) I don't think signing a "body" will be the difference between Champions League and not, b) I don't think Isak will jostle for a move to a Champions League club other than the absolute elite clubs if we get European competition c) Real Madrid could maybe afford the £150m+ we'd demand for him? Man City have Haaland. Who else could realistically afford him this summer? No, but I think Eddie will be mollified if in the summer he's given the players he need to compete across several competitions

In an ideal world we wouldn't be after a promising right winger, we'd need a right winger who's already an improvement on Murphy. But they cost more money than we should spend this window given the PSR restraints. Any way I don't think that a promising right winger would be the difference between top 5 and not this season. Isn't it better to keep our powder dry for the summer where we can see who's available, what competitions we're in, etcetera?

I understand the probability of you getting a sock to the jaw is increasing dramatically.

Listen fuckknuckle, we can either spend spend a shit ton on players now and then be forced into selling our best players in June, Orrrrrrrrrrrr don't act like spoiled fucking brats.

*More chance of Chelsea being given a CL spot for winning the Conference league, than Man Utd or Tottenham winning the Europa.
-
They've also done this helpful little table too. Now, I think it's self explanatory but we'll sharp find out if that's the case.
-
Should he? He's been a bit hit and miss for Villa this season hasn't he?
-
Isn't there now no limit on the number of clubs allowed into the CL from a given association? Like if Man City win the CL and Chelsea win the Conference League, their spots go to the league? *More chance of Chelsea being given a CL spot for winning the Conference league, than Man Utd or Tottenham winning the Europa.

Would that it were so simple.

Mitchell was hired July 4th 2024. Summer window closed August 30th 2024. January is always a difficult window to do business, let alone for a club with tight PSR restrictions. I'm not really sure what he could have done by this point?

It was rampant. People walking up to Four Lane Ends to get some scran, and only clock out for 30 minutes when they get back.

I remember working at Benton Park when I was about 19? They had Flexi time where you logged in and out with a little plastic key. It was class because I'd clock myself and a mate in first thing 7:30 ish, then he'd show up at 9 take the keys and I'd fuck off early afternoon and he'd stick around to clock us both out late on. He'd drop the keys off at mine on his way home. We were clocking 2 hours credit a day and the boss was either too dense to notice, or didn't care. I think we were allowed to go 18.5 hours in credit and same debit, so we'd build up that credit then take a Flexi week off.
