The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread

Lejeune off to Spain. -
Come at me Bro
-
Schar and Lejeune can't play in a rudimentary back four. Bruce can't set up a PL team with anything but a rudimentary back four.
-
Where'd you get that from?
-
I kind of got the feeling that his best performances were yet to come (No, not in the MCU)

Not this end of Cheshire. Two roads along and it would be Manchester. Foden's mother lives in the same village, young Phil bought her a house here. Apparently we've had a few luminaries live here; Martin Fry, George Best, Yvette Fielding, and our very own Steve Bruce.
-
It's not where you're from, it's where you're at. Which is Cheshire... so you may have a point.
-
So the redeeming features of this transfer are; cheaper than Bentaleb, old, free transfer. Makes me sick, mother fucker, how far we done fell.

I don't think it was PSG's success that's spurring them into action. They saw we're signing Jeff Hendrick on a free and want to get in before he leads us to a domestic treble and our value goes through the roof. -
Not what I was after, but apposite none the less.

There really should be a 'bridge of the nose pinching' emoji for horseshit like this.

I can't take this thread any more, it's all too tents.

One thing I was thinking, would you be surprised if a restructured PIF came back for us in 2021. When the MENA region is up for tender, and all that? I'm not sure they'd fancy going another round with the PL when they could just go and buy a French/German/Italian club without any hassle at all. -

Yup. Or create a new division of PIF with a focus on Sports and name one of MBS' brothers as Chairman of that? -

That extract is an affront on Journalism. How many different ways could they find to repeat the "Ashley is using his lawyers to filter out time wasters" message across? -

I don't think that's true. I think the PL would have allowed it if they could get Saudi Arabia to end piracy and be satisfied that there was sufficient separation between MBS and the PIF. The first bit is difficult to prove, but the second bit is just a bit of restructuring of the entity that buys Newcastle. -

Better for the PL to suggest an independent arbitrator than reject it, though? -

Every season I care less and less. It's only when we're in the bottom three that I get invested, and if your football club only gets under your skin when they're in danger of relegation, it's not much fun. -

To be fair, this would have gone through no problem if the Saudi state hadn't been pirating the broadcast in the first place. Or if they'd done enough to reassure the PL that they'd got a handle on it. Or if they'd not banned BEIN from broadcasting in Saudi Arabia in the middle of the takeover. PL definitely the servant of a few masters here, but the buying side have been a bit of a shitshow themselves. Now we wait for Mauriss/Kenyon/BZG/Orleggi/Moat just in time for the January window. -
Aye it's not like they're going to open out onto Lake Como or owt. It's a toss up between money and earache.

No free Calippo for you, ya bellend.

It does. Don't worry about that. Mrs Fish wants an island, and black steel bifold doors going the width of the house, plus a range cooker and a big american style fridge freezer. Think she might have to lower her ambitions. She's already done it once.
