It's tight, dusty and I regret going in there. JUST LIKE YOUR MAM'S FANNY!

"stairnation.com" says they're the the same, so spindle on that, you Paddy baluster-d.

Just need a way to go up to the loft without risking a Willhem's scream as I tumble to my death. Currently have the wobbliest concertina ladder ever.

Can you make me 14 steps worth of banister... spindles? And a set of stairs about 14 steps. And install them?

Aye, if his game is all about turning defenders he needs to be driving with the ball, not receiving it in the most congested part of the pitch. Especially when he isn't the kind of player to press. Perez was, Almiron could be, but ASM isn't.

Is what we can expect for foreseeable? A decent performance followed by a shitshow? It'll be enough to keep Bruce in the job, surely? Was saying elsewhere that the inconsistency is the biggest frustration; we've clearly got a squad that can play decent football, even if it isn't thrilling. So how can we follow a performance like we saw against Everton, with that terrible shit? Surely it's obvious to Bruce now? Play 5 at the back, 2 in the middle, 2 out wide, one up front. Change the style depending on the opposition. Longball is fine on occasion, trying to pass it out is fine when appropriate. We've got plenty of players with pace, we've got decent centrebacks, so that's what the first team should be built around, right? Solid defensive shape and counter?

That's the kind of political punditry I can get behind.

Have they kept quiet enough not to be tarred by his Presidency? You get the impression that the Republicans would back a literal Grand Wizard of the KKK if it won them the Whitehouse. I wonder what's next for Trump? There are loads of civil and criminal charges outstanding on him, aren't there?

@Rayvin You seen that there are claims that anyone who didn't vote for Trump is part of a secret cabal of Tyneside businessmen.

Thisw is it for me, politicians have cottoned onto the gullibility of the populace. Say any old shit and people will believe it, if it aligns with their prejudice.

Democrats don't seem to have learned that it's not about policy, it's personality now. They needed an Obama, someone that would excite the base and be palatable to the others. Instead they've gone for Boring Biden. Democracy has jumped the shark now.

But because it benefits Republicans they're not going to change it and will successfully paint any proposed replacement as elitism?

Rangers fans were apparently up in arms about the cost and quality of the replica strips.

No surprise that the best defensive performance of the season (though still not good) came from a back 5 where each of the CBs limitations are covered by the others. With the players Bruce has available, we could comfortably play a back 5, 2 CMs and 3 from 6 ahead of them. The defensive weakness on our left flank can be mitigated by a CM and CB providing a bit of cover. Longstaff might not have the passing range of Shelvey, but he's not bad. His energy, ability/will to carry the ball is much better than the miserable bellend's. The movement of Wilson, ASM, Almiron/Fraser up front and a CM who isn't sedentary would mean the game wouldn't be played on the edge of our 18yd box and our 'keeper wouldn't top the league for saves made.

Been banging this drum myself. What we'd lose by dropping Shelvey and playing Longstaff in terms of long passes is more than made up for the improvement on the defensive effort the midfield put in. Schar, Longstaff and Lewis have all shown they've got a long pass in their skillset. Play them and we wouldn't miss Shelvey all that much. Without Shelvey dropping deep to give himself time and space to launch these balls, we'd be further up the pitch which would mean ASM, Almiron, Wilson wouldn't have to beat 3-4 players. Our defence wouldn't be permanently under the cosh. That said, on current form, Sean Longstaff hasn't played himself into the first team. Plus Shelvey's a miserable cunt.

Aarons, Atsu, Lazaar, Saivet left out the squad. Ritchie and Gayle included. Now, I know he's been a bad signing, but given the trouble we're having in the midfield, wouldn't it have been worth naming Saivet at Ritchie's expense until January? Saivet might be average-to-poor, but it's better than forcing Schar into centre mid, right? Also, it would prevent Bruce from bringing Ritchie back too early.
