That's not the brag you think it is.

Years ago we went for a meal at Roast in London's Borough Market. Waitress brought the bill after 2 full Sunday lunches, with 3 courses and a couple of extra sides and a bottle of wine. Should have been about £150? Bill showed we'd only been charged for the sides and the wine, so about £50? No idea how they fucked it up, but I wasn't going to argue. Figured we'd only pay the full amount if we were challenged, then did that highly-suspect "we're not guilty at all" exit.

Almiron is being wasted by Bruce like, I wouldn't blame him if he wanted out. To be fair I'm not sure I'd blame anyone for wanting to leave Newcastle when it's under the current owner & manager.

I think a lot of podcasters are a bit star-struck when they meet ex-players, no matter how many twitter followers they've got. I'm sure I'd shit myself if I was sat opposite Les Ferdinand. Fuck it, I'd be star struck by Clarence Acuna. The questions put to the players are so often just "So, who's the best player you've played with?", "Can you tell us any funny stories about nights out?". The players aren't going to give surprising answers to shit like this, and fans aren't going to know what questions would get the good answers anyway. The players are also not going to slag off current players or managers. Think a problem with podcasters interviewing players is that there'll be a vocabulary that most fans don't have, and the players aren't going to bother their arse trying to explain why one coach's training sessions were better than the other, when the majority of fans haven't a fucking clue about them. Re: interviewing fans, I don't see the point myself. Unless it's someone off the NUST board to talk about things they're doing or whatever. I'm not sure NUFCthreatlevel will have any greater insight into the way we play than anyone else, even if he is good value on twitter.

More chance of seeing one of us in a Wu-Tang t-shirt than a toon shirt, but I take your point. Most of podcasts do seem to be a group of blokes chatting about the match/manager/owner as they would in a pub, though some of them can get good guests on. Guests who can provide actual insight, either by virtue of being an ex-player, or by being a journalist. We don't bother much with all that, we barely fucking promote it at all...

Sorry you're having a shit time Quiff. The other lads are right; even though it must be shit right now, it sounds like you're better off away from her. I'd honestly take a step forward and try and chat to someone about it all. Someone who knows what they're talking about, and not random knobheads on a football message board.

Depends what you're after I suppose. If you want expert analysis I'd not bother with fan podcasts. I'd guess most people doing it are doing it in their spare time and can't commit to the kind of preparation needed to make them slick and professional.

Are we not now at the stage where he can keep crying fix as they gently usher him out the door. Keep crying fix on Fox news for the foreseeable. Keep crying fix on twitter. And it doesn't matter? The Republicans are quietly sidestepping away from him, the news agencies are cutting away from him and his mouth-pieces whenever they're on one. It's only his rabid supporters that are still behind him, but with their limited mental capacity I'm sure they'll get distracted soon enough?

How many are there these days? The Athletic one, True Faith, Gallowgate Shots, Chronicle, Wraith's one, ours.

Don't think I've ever seen us win away from home. Still, away days are much better than home games, for me. Tell a lie, I watched a fair few away games in London when we were in the Championship. But it's the likes of QPR, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and they were all 'local' so they don't live long in the memory as 'proper' away days.

I wonder if they're expecting their backers to spunk hundreds of millions into the region and transform them into an elite club? As, y'know, they insisted wouldn't be the case for us based on... fuck all.

Oh, I have fuck all faith in them coming to their senses, but a step towards the middle is much more likely if they're ushered by a right-winger, right?

But surely they'd be more accepting of Yehaww McCracken III running for Alabama senate seat brings them in 1 step away from rabid nationalism, rather than Shaqwanda Goldenstein of New York trying to get them to move 3 steps toward Hippy Dippy, Pinko Communism?

That has to come from their side though. It's down to the Republicans, the Tories to pull back from the divisive rhetoric and try to corral their more reactionary supporters. If any blame/demands come from the left it'll only push them further away from sense.

See this loads, simply because the Nazi party was officially called the 'National Socialist German Workers' they believe their politics were socialist. Couple that with the successful blurring of the lines between communism and socialism and you've got a decent number of Americans who think socialist policies are, at the same time, fascistic and communist.
