  1. Irony of that when they often accuse us of 'only wanting a big name'. They're chasing Defoe, Phillips, Keane, etc.
  2. To be clear, I have my personal phone, but my work phone is split personal/work through that app. It's a genuine consideration that I might ditch my personal phone entirely, but I'm only paying £8 a month and it includes my Amazon subscription.
  3. Well, he's back home now. On some meds, not sure what yet. I was able to reassure him that there's no medical evidence to say long haul flights are more dangerous to him, and he poses no greater risk on a flight than any other passenger (as long as he's taking his meds). Apparently he can drive if he goes 1yr without a seizure (as long as he's taking his meds).
  4. Well, they signed that Patrick Roberts who looked so promising at Fulham, Man City spent £6.5m on him, then shuttled him off to Celtic, Girona, Norwich, Middlesbrough, Derby, Troyes then released for nowt to Sunderland. Real Jack Rodwell vibe about him. Their squad has a total market value of £16.4m (according to transfermarkt), which is second only to Shef Wed. And just under 4 times that of Plymouth Argyle who are 7pts and 2 places above them in the league. They're 6th in the third tier of English football, 6th favourite for promotion, and their owners have 6p to rub together.
  5. What was the last dance to? You Suffer?
  6. Don't tell 'em. Infect the PO, hopefully they'll infect the murderer. Might mean you've got to snog the PO, but don't tell me you haven't thought about it.
  7. Is your company set up to use the Microsoft company portal? Get Company Portal - Microsoft Store en-GB We have it and it means all my work access, apps, etc. are separate from personal stuff. So I've got Spotify, whatsapp, twitter and the like on the personal side of things and outlook, teams and the rest on the work side of things.
  8. Worried there'd be confusion, what with you being called Tex Thepiss
  9. He's not complained about headaches or blurred vision or anything as of yet. Doesn't mean he hasn't had them mind. To be honest, Dad's not on much of anything as far as I know. Just iron tablets, but that's just a new thing, pretty mild and Doctor says that could be manageable by increasing the iron in his diet. Fatigue might not be a bad thing, he's somehow become busier since he retired, so if he's forced to slow down a bit it might help. Cheers for this I appreciate it, I'm honestly relieved to know now what it is. Or at least have a good idea of what it is. If medication means he'll not have seizures but he'll have some side-effects, it's a small price to pay. And thanks to the others too.
  10. You just wouldn't let it lie
  11. I chose Phuket because your boy Rayvin is an anime fan and from that I took a preference for ladies from the far east, Thailand is a renowned destination for sex-holidays, not just ladyboys. In short, there's nowt wrong with my joke, so stfu.
  12. Other Neurological symptoms is tricky. Partly because I don't see him often, so it's hard to have a baseline. Plus, he's 76 so while his memory is a bit shaky, it's never been great and is he forgetting because of his age or because of something else? I mean, he's not forgetting anything important. When you say not very nice, what are we talking about?
  13. Last year my Dad had a couple of falls. Doctors were at a loss as to the cause and he was comparatively fit and healthy so aside from doing tests and scans were happy for him to carry on as normal. He had a seizure this morning, got whisked off to hospital in the ambulance, had another seizure while waiting to be seen. Thankfully because he was surrounded by medical professionals they were able to immediately diagnose it as an epileptic fit. So, 76yr old, never had a problem before, now he can't drive, he'll miss out on this amazing holiday (for the time being at least) and will have to deal with whatever treatments/medications he'll need to manage this. Anyone know anything about epilepsy? Can it suddenly appear, or has he always had it? Is it exacerbated by having an heroic son?
  14. Like your dream weekend in Phuket, someone's got you pegged.
  15. Pretty sure they impose that kind of restriction on wage increase (10% rise a year), but may be wrong.
  16. Aye Wood was a make do, rather than a make waves signing. Thing with Edwards' piece that seems be overlooked is that this is the projection as things stand. IF we were to announce a shirt sponsor for £10m a year, plus a sleeve sponsor for £2m, an official airline partner, training ground sponsor, academy sponsor and so on. We could dramatically widen the FFP wiggle room and spend more than the suggested £60m. Plus funds raised by player sales, as there's surely only a handful of players that are definitely staying around. Bruno, Burn, Trippier... ASM, Joelinton?
  17. You claiming you are definitely in the "agree to disagree and walk away" camp.
  18. Fucking made me spit my tea out.
  19. Ooooooh, look at me, I'm Rayvin and I understand EeeeEeeeverybody's point of view. Pathetic. Pick a side, you pervert.
  20. That's the thing though, it's not binary. You can have an opinion that's backed up with stats, or the opposing opinion backed up with different stats. It doesn't boil the conversation down to numbers. Stats aren't going to replace opinion. When I argued with essembee about Joelinton's laziness, I could lay out my case and subsequently back it up with irrefutable proof. I could have eventually worn him down with non-stat arguments, but stats hastened the conclusion. When pundits said Bruce was as good as Benitez, that the team was playing the same way and paradoxically playing more attacking football, did it not wind you up? When stats were able to prove that, in fact Bruce's football was terrible in almost every measure, did you not feel vindicated? That your own analysis was supported by other people?
  21. How else can we work out which Cambridge Tory cunt will run the country? Ohhh, I see your point.
  22. So instead you rely on gut. Without any evidence beyond that to back up your position? Seems, I dunno, a bit Brexity.
  23. We were unlucky No we weren't A real Algonquin round table discussion there.
