Pretty pleasantly surprised. After my second batch of Paternity Leave I get 6 months working 80% of my hours for 100% pay and benefits, so I'm going to be taking every Monday off April-September. So I give my boss the dates and she asks if I know if I get the Bank Holidays as days in lieu. I say "that's not policy, no". She says that's not right, so changes the dates and sends it off. Her boss signs it off immediately. I effectively get another month of Mondays off. Is it because she wants to keep a valued member of the team happy, or is it because I'm entirely worthless? Either way I get a month or monday's off.

It's all bullshit. You work for some wealthy people, so they can get more wealth by doing nothing. Then they give you the tiniest fraction of their wealth, so you can spend it on things to make your life more enjoyable, and in so doing feather the nests of other wealthy people who get more money for doing nothing. With the level of automation we're capable of, we should all be having days of leisure where essentials cost fuck all and 'luxuries' are common place. But greed is a mother fucker.

I only occasionally find myself listening to Nevermind and In Utero but when I do I like them. I don't get the adulation for them, and I don't rate their other albums, but as things to dip your feet in, they're both a good listen and two albums that I'll rarely skip a track on.

Another drawback of vape; muscle memory means that when I had a joint I pulled on it like it was a vape and almost immediately whitied.

Used to smoke 'socially', then quit them entirely when my first was born. Tried vaping instead after a while and honestly, I vape more now than I ever smoked. I'm also at the point where I'm gonna quit. I've never been one for buying the disposable ones, so I'm just getting to the end of this filter and won't be buying any more. I'll toss the thing itself when this filter goes. Honestly think it's more of a psychological thing because I've gone for weeks at a time without it when on holiday or whatever. I just find my fingers get bored.
