  1. My Mrs grew up in posh Yorkshire, whole family voted Tory for pretty much their entire lives. Rescued her from the dark side, rescued one of the sisters... the other one is tricky because she's got a cunt of a Kiwi boyfriend who is a big fan of Trump and anything 'contrarian'.
  2. Agree with all of that. Also think there should be recourse for the many lies told by the Out campaign. No at the ballot box, but in the courts.
  3. Standing with your back to the lift door isn't illegal, eating a banana from the middle out isn't illegal, closing the door on someone rather than hold it open isn't illegal, wetting your bed because you think Newcastle will be relegated this season isn't illegal. There are loads of fucking wrong things that aren't illegal.
  4. Are there any people on here who voted for Brexit who still back it, or who have subsequently changed their minds?
  5. I've had exes like that.
  6. I know you didn't Wykiki just laid that honour upon you. (there's no real aggression, I love you all equally. Except you CT. You're in the doghouse until you generate some BDE)
  7. Oh Craig posted it did he? Wonder where Craig found it? Probably on a website Craig made, on the Internet that Craig created, right? Get off his dick, man, he's not the messiah.
  8. I think this bit gets overlooked If we were all to maintain our Points per Game, Newcastle would end up on 40pts, Everton survive on 33, etc. For Everton to surpass 40pts they'd have to get 15pts from the next 9 games. That's 5 wins man! 15pts from 9 games is 1.7PpG, the kind of form that would grant you 5th position in a league season! But sure, this side that has 7 wins all season is going to somehow dig out Champions League form against... CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LEVEL OPPOSITION!
  9. Here's some expert opinion on the relegation chances; 538 They think we have a 6% chance of going down. Six percent. Bookies Longest odds has us at around 3.8%, shortest about 5.6% Team Right We say there's fuck all chance of us going down. So there you go, 3 different groups with expertise all saying you need to go find your big boy pants.
  10. That Andy Dawson oddity has taken exception to Trippier's tweet as well. He does say that he had tickets, but because he's a 'recognisable mackem', he was worried that something shitty would happen among the 'whipped up Geordie fever" and he couldn't be arsed. Setting aside the FUCKING IRREFUTABLE FACT that bot all people would recognise him even if he walked around wearing a sandwich board declaring "I'm Andy Dawson, I do a podcast with Bob Mortimer" in bright fucking neon paint. Why, if this 'Whipped up Geordie Fever' was ever to be a concern, would he buy tickets to watch a singer who is ferociously proud of being a Geordie, at his home town gig?
  11. 'Not as positive as we hoped' implies that despite a set back it is still positive. 'Worse than expected' implies the already negative outlook has deteriorated further. Clarity of language is important. e.g. "You're not as clever as I hoped" vs "You're dumb as fuck". See how subtle differences in language can change the meaning?
  12. Because xG measures how many goals he's expected to score, and is not impacted by how many he does/doesn't score.
  13. So I've browsed a few message boards of other clubs. Shockingly, the greater the rivalry/enmity/disdain their fans have for Newcastle United, the more assured they are that they'd walk away from their own club if they were bought out by these Bond villains. Everton, Spurs, Villa, and of course the Morlocks down the road.
  14. It's how transparent the whole thing is. So when Panja or Delaney dig out Newcastle, it's largely because of the owner, rather than any real enmity towards the fans. Sure there's some lazy stereotyping or willful ignorance, but I don't get the sense they actually have it in for us, or owt. With Glendenning though, it's clear as day to anyone with half a brain that the driving factor behind his pieces about us is born of bitterness towards the club/fans, rather than how awful our owners are. Same as his embittered rant about England's national team. He's a fucking WUM, and not even a very original one.
  15. I don't think Ginola, Robert, Ben Arfa and Mirandinha are why we've seen the team fail to deliver success. Probably more to do with Boumsong, Bramble, Taylor, and their ilk...
  16. Precisely the same as mine.
  17. I should have spotted that, sorry. I've no excuse. My browser Aztec that will help me next time.
  18. Here, @Christmas Tree you can use this website to make it easier; Premier League Calculator (thefishy.co.uk) (No it's not mine, just a co-inkydink)
  19. In my defense, I didn't come up with the joke, it was my wife's. But you're right, it's awful, she's got to go, I'll have tequila.
  20. Maybe they were Mexicans. After all it is League Juan.

    Excel People

We're switching from this to Google Data Studio at work. Also trying to learn enough SQL, that I can make a business case to send me off somewhere to sit exams in it. Which has fuck all to do with accreditation and everything to do with having a jolly on the work dime.
  22. Wife's got it. But, like so many of the fine young men on here, I appear to be immune to it.
  23. I've decided not to get too attached to anyone who was here before the January window. They're all a standard we should want to improve upon. Bruno might become world class, or he might not, but the rest of them are not getting to his level, let alone beyond him.
