  1. This is it for me. They're not going to tart up SJP, when they could build something new.
  2. Frustratingly, this is the kind of fixture that Elliot Anderson or Lewis Miley would have enjoyed.
  3. + Thoroughly professional performance. + Doesn't look like we picked up any worrying injuries. + Fringe players got minutes. - Not sure about Osula, he didn't really impress me. - We were bereft of creativity without Bruno - Didn't get a chance to see any of the young players like Sanusi
  4. Well, sure, but even if "money is no object", it really still is an object, isn't it? PIF aren't going to splurge £2bn on a stadium when it's just a money pit, are they? Especially if Spurs just had a brand spanking new 60k stadium, in the heart of London, for half that price.
  5. With a bottle of Pinot and a rotisserie chicken?
  6. Newcastle United face £1bn bill to redevelop St James’ Park (telegraph.co.uk) For £1bn I'd want more than tarting up the Milburn and Leazes and adding an extra 8k seats. Also, in that article it says that a new stadium would cost £2-£3bn, which doesn't make a whole heap of sense to me when Tottenham's new stadium 'only' cost £1bn. And given that's a massive build, in London, I cannot for a second think that a build in Newcastle would be two or three times more expensive.
  7. Moving is a piece of piss if you pay someone to do it all for you.
  8. You could buy my Mam and Dad's house off them?
  9. That's genuinely outrageous The reasons look like absolute arm-chancery as well.
  10. No fit strikers meant he was our best option up front. Osula doesn't count because until he gets his goal against AFC Wimbledon tonight, he exists only as a concept of an idea. Honestly, I think missing Rodri for the season opens the door for Arsenal and/or Liverpool to finish above you. Of course, Man City being Man City, you could go off in January and buy the second best defensive midfielder in the world. You can make do against much of the league without Rodri, but to get the kind of juggernaut momentum yneeded for the title, you have to replace him. alreet Bruce
  11. Am I right in thinking that a decent amount of that are costs that are ignored by the PSR regulations?
  12. For no reason I can think of, I can't stand him and get unreasonably annoyed at all the praise he's reasonably getting. #reasons
  13. What I was saying when he'd first joined. The triangles that were created between Almiron, Trippier and Bruno were so vital when we were playing well. Tonali was bought to have that available on both sides.
  14. I've no idea where you get the confidence in me to make that assertion.
  15. You ask too much. These lads are human beings, with all that that entails. So sometimes they don't give 100% at work, so what? Nobody else does. Everybody else lets personal shit impact their day, even if it's just their mood.
  16. I thin it did, but I think that's more to do with Gordon, and the rest of the team playing better in general than Isak's absence.
  17. As there will always be in a game against Guardiola's Man City. But what we saw was way, way closer to the pressing we've seen from Howe's side previously. There was a throwaway line from his post match presser. Where he said something along the lines of the players having a full week to concentrate on a game, and it being the most they've reviewed a game (Fulham). I think having the extra time, the extra focus on each match will be huge for us this season.
  18. 3-1 thoroughly professional job. Osula opens his account, Ruddy with the other two.
  19. He's always had a great range of passing, up there with Shelvey for me. But with the added benefit of being able to do other things on the pitch at the same time.
  20. Truckers, pluckers and bad motherfuckers.
