  1. That Romaines to be seen. She's made a decision, Butterhead is still a bit Frisée.
  2. Pretty strong evidence to back up their claims that Sunderland fans are classier than we are.
  3. Just like free speech, isn't it? "We want Free Speech! " "Tories are scum" "No, not like that!"

  5. 6 months of people asking where he gets his ginger hair from because neither of us have red hair. I include my mam in that group. 6 months of him being ginger and nobody knowing why, before my mam casually remarks that she had red hair when she was a kid. Like... Mam, YOU were one of the people who asked where he could possibly have gotten the ginger gene from. It was you, copper top! Not even like her hair changed colour early doors, she found a picture of her in her teens with red hair. How do you forget something like that?!
  6. We're morphing to a more plant based diet, and we tend to buy our meats from the local butcher. That's about as far as I'm currently willing to go.
  7. Well he's a ginger, and he's definitely inherited my long body, short legs. So we're all gravy baby.
  8. Look at us, discussing how best to describe a players position. Instead of pushing back and forth on this, we could just agree that he's a Mezzala and be done with it.
  9. Right, and that's good business, but the point I was making is that they've paid out nigh on a BILLION pounds on players in the last ten years. And they were finishing on average 3rd. They aren't an under dog, they haven't done it the hard way, they've bought success just as much as the rest of the Elite. Yes, they've made good deals, getting good money back on the likes of Suarez, Coutinho (c£200m from Barcelona), Sterling and Benteke (c£90m for the pair). But the thing I'm saying is that there's a narrative that, plucky little Liverpool are challenging the big spenders with a shoestring budget. This is bollocks, they've spent nearly a billion pounds on players in the last 10 years, to build upon a team that was already up there challenging anyway. They're no different to Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and the rest of them.
  10. This judgement is surely less about the monetary punishment and more about a line in the sand?
  11. Nah, Joelinton plays further forward, he is aggressive and disruptive, but he usually operates on the left of the midfield three, ahead of the deeper lying player.
  12. I don't totally disagree but Bruno has, perhaps surprisingly, been out deepest lying player in the last two games. Or at least that's what the heatmaps say. 100% would have an out an out defensive midfielder instead of Joe, Longstaff or Willock.
  13. In the last 10 seasons they've spent just shy of a billion. Only Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City have had a bigger outlay.
  14. Bring it on for all News and 'News Entertainment' channels, says I. If they present themselves as anything other than a fucking parody, they should be forced to report the actual facts. Also anyone reporting a story as fact that's proven to be false, should have to print/show a retraction that takes up as much space and time as their original story, in the same page/time slot.
  15. Yeah I've noticed this story about how Liverpool are doing it the right way, unlike those awful awful Manchester clubs who're just buying success... They've spent a fortune, they've tapped up players, they've gazumped rivals, and all the shady shit that elite clubs do. They also did it from a position of relative strength anyway, so they're not some underdog story, or owt. Especially as that relative strength was injected into their veins before their previous era of domestic dominance.
  16. If we could find a Shelvey who is younger and puts in a shift defensively that midfield would be outstanding.
  17. Yeah, but with a longer recovery period and added dressing room contretemps. Honestly think their biggest issue has been recruitment. Playing that style in all competitions means you're going to burn through players like three ply Andrex after 6 pints of bhuna. But they've only signed 4 first team players in the last 2 seasons. 9 of their first team are over 30, their midfield's average age is 27.6 and that's distorted by 19yr old Harvey Elliot.
  18. You mean Steve, Steve, Steve and his son? Alex Bruce was fired by Robbie Savage ffs, how across details do you reckon that prick is?

  20. Didn't someone on here say, ages ago, that the way he has his teams playing means they'll have one unbelievable season, then be so physically, mentally and emotionally fucked that the next season is a bit of a bust?
  21. A lot of his good work isn't necessarily doing something exciting with the ball. He presses well, he keeps attacks ticking over and all that. I do think Joelinton is better, but I'd swap Longstaff for JoeL, rather than Willock. I mean, ideally we'd have a true blue defensive midfielder who would allow Joelinton and Bruno to play their football further up the pitch, but it's not January yet and really excellent DMs are a rare breed.
  22. Forgive my ignorance, but you know when an MP makes a claim in the chambers? Is it against any rules for another MP to have a team of factcheckers, in a room somewhere, feeding them accurate information by phone or something?
  23. I know nothing about this guy, other than he shares a name with a shitty Superman villain.
