  1. Plus he's got that Donkey sanctuary, right?
  2. I'm saying on paper, Nagelsmann has achieved more than Howe has. That's not really up for debate is it?
  3. League titles, individual trophies, win %, GD, stuff like that.
  4. Been said before but some lunatic will state something that's bad for us is likely to happen and the rest will convince themselves that not only is it likely, but a certainty. We wouldn't get Benitez He wouldn't stay after relegation He wouldn't get us promoted He wouldn't keep us up Bruce would take us down (to be fair this seemed more likely) There wouldn't be a takeover The Saudis wouldn't pass O&D The PL wouldn't let it happen The Government wouldn't let it happen The Saudis wouldn't spend money Howe would take us down Howe has a terrible record of transfers No Premier League club would do business with us No decent player would want to join us Bruno would flop, Burn is shite, Botman isn't ready for the PL, Isak is too lightweight We'd need to spend half a billion to get close to European football The Saudis would leave after a couple of years to buy Man Utd or Liverpool Shouldn't the giant floating head of Ray Winston be looming above them with the chilling message "When the fun stops, stop"?
  5. On paper, yes. But there's surely no appetite to get rid of Howe. Cheap, over-delivering, got the fans and team on board. Any change would be a big gamble and one I think they'd only take if Howe stops delivering.
  6. I understand flying for any trip over 3hrs in the coach to be honest. You can have hundreds of millions of pounds worth of assets that have a time sensitive schedule. Trains or road travel may be more ecological, but are at the whims of the notoriously poor British transport system. Imagine the law suits flying around if the Avanti West Coast breaks down outside Birmingham and the title decider between Man City and Arsenal in April is postponed, or the Arsenal team aren't able to get proper rest or training in before the game?
  7. You can clam the fuck up, that's what you can do.
  8. What simple thread are you failing to FUCKING FOLLOW? McTominay - not currently great, probably a low ceiling, will be overpriced Veiga - currently performing well, potentially a high ceiling, not overpriced I've seen McTominay and he's midtable, at best. Diego says Veiga is rated, is performing well and is available for £35m.
  9. They do play in the same position, midfield, though maybe not the same role. Diego, glory to His name, has even mentioned that Veiga has played in a DM position before, so stick that in your Potatoe Pipe and Spud it. And my central point was that the fee for McTominay is likely to be much higher than it is for a more highly rated foreigner with perhaps a higher ceiling.
  10. And £35m is significantly less than I think Manchester United would ask in return for Scott McTominay.
  11. They'll only realise that after I leave, and by then it's too late.
  12. Cool, sure, whatever, but importantly - it's bated breath, ya big phoney.
  13. Scott McTominay (Out) - Newcastle interested + McTominay open to move due to concerns about playing time (Luke Edwards, Telegraph) | RedCafe.net consensus seems to be he's not good enough for where they should be aiming for. If that's the case for them, then it should be true for us too.
  14. I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you can get in trouble with the club for making stuff up for a shit wind up attempt.
  15. My team is stretched out across the country but we have rare meetings that we have to attend in person. At the same time the company have refused to pay for hotels. So now I have to, on occasion, drive 2 hours to Birmingham to have an hour long 'Team Meeting' in the conference room of a shitty office on a shitty trading estate in a shitty part of Birmingham, then drive 2 hours back. Made all the more worthwhile by half the team calling in from the Newbury office.
  16. I know what he's saying, but what's the ceiling for him? a top half of the table defensive midfielder? Surely, surely there are players out there with a higher ceiling, that're in our price bracket, and would want to come? Like, even if Howe does manage to make him a better player, how much better can he actually get? But, obviously, if he was playing in the J-League and his name was Sakura Mitominai, I'd be all over it.
  17. He even uses modern terminology to back up his argument against it. He's just being a cunt for the sake of it. I mean, I get people pushing back on Trequartista, that kind of makes sense to me. But gegenpressing, low block, half spaces, these all make more sense to me than the reams of monosyllabic grunts you'd need to make the same point.
  18. Sunderland man... If you fill a plot with shit, seed it with shit and water it with shit, you can only expect shit to grow, I guess.
  19. I like this stat. Seen something similar with goal kicks too.
  20. With a name like that, I can't imagine there'd be too many copycat killers.
  21. Could always take some gardening advice from Fred West?
