And he's the kind of player we need. He's young, technically gifted, hard working, higher ceiling than the players we have, English (for home-grown rules) and creative as all hell. I don't subscribe to the idea that teams who've performed badly can't be cherry picked for good players. It's like JWP at Southampton, they're deservedly going down, but JWP would be a good signing for a whole stack of teams in the PL. Or Pickford from Sunderland e.g. LOL Just Kidding, Pickford is turboshit.

Yeah, Brighton is the only match I'm worried about. Only because it puts pressure on the next two fixtures. I'm entirely confident we'll beat Leicester; last home game, under the lights, they're shit. If we beat Brighton, the atmosphere against Leicester will be celebratory, if we don't beat Brighton it'll be insistent. Chelsea away on the final day, if we've already secured CL, will just be a big ol'party.

You do one then, billy big bollocks.

Kind of expect Howe and the coaches to encourage more team bonding shit away from the training ground. Didn't Pardew's teams use to have barbecues and that?

And when you consider Almiron, Wilson and Isak are significantly overperforming their xG you have to look at the drop off in midfield and defence. Willock is the most wasteful. What's killing us is set pieces, we're creating so many good opportunities but our defenders haven't scored a single goal from them. In fact, our only goals from defenders were Schar's thunderbastard against Forest in our first game and Trippier's freekick against Man City in our 3rd game. -
Their fatigue showed against Everton and they got mullered. Our fatigue showed against Leeds and we still should have won the game. We're a nastier side than Arsenal and Brighton are. If the boys are up for it (and I'm convinced the crowd will make fucking sure they are, we can bully those lily-livered namby pamby, soft southern yella-bellied, rats with wings.

Max PTS possible NEW - 75 MNU - 75 LIV - 71 BRI - 70 If Liverpool drop points, any points, the CL place is ours. They've got tough games away at Leicester (who should be fighting for their survival), or home to Aston Villa (who are very good under Emery). We're very good at home, hopefully Longstaff will be back. Also, ironically, if Liverpool do beat Leicester, I think we'll have an easier job putting the Foxes away when we host them. Our final game is at Chelsea and Lampard is a terrible coach. If Leicester get point(s) from Liverpool tonight, the most they can end the season on is 69*. Which means we go into the game on Thursday safe in the knowledge that a win guarantees us top 4. I think it ends;

I recommend David Lee, or Callum Mawson.

Exactly this, and given the number of new appointments we've made in the recruitment/development departments I'd have faith that we'll more closely follow a version of the Brighton model, rather than Chelsea or early Man City. At least 15 backroom appointments outside of coaches.

Brighton made plenty of changes, and still created more chances than Everton did. Everton were passive and sat deeper than the hole you'd need to dig to hide all of Fat Sam's dodgy deals. Pickford played well and Steele did not. Despite Allardyce's proclamations, he's doesn't know more than Guardiola, Klopp, Arteta etc. He knows one thing "get it in the mixer", it's not some kind of progressive, creative answer to how to be successful at football, but it will get you out of the shit more often than not. A different permutation of remaining fixtures and Allardyce would take Everton down.

They'll stay up. Leicester and Leeds to go down, I reckon. Brighton are officially enemies of Football.
