  1. Wait, who's the cunt here? Gemmill, Everton, or me?
  2. Right, I've been on here for literally decades and I've been abused, insulted, mocked and derided throughout. I've taken it all in my stride, but this, this shit is a step too far. I will fucking Flounce. A flounce the likes of which you have never seen.
  3. On oddschecker we're 5th favourite for the title but still only 16/1. Oddschecker has the mackems at 20/1 for the Championship title. 10th favourite for promotion, at 7/1 As an aside Everton are 6th favourites for the drop at 4/1.
  4. Pretty much all of them expecting play offs at the very least. They may have forgotten that Leicester, Southampton and Leeds have been relegated, plus the teams who didn't go up through the play offs, plus the fact they only sneaked into the play off spots ahead of Blackburn thanks to goal difference. Betfair has them 10th favourite for the title at 20/1. For comparison we're second favourite for the 23/24 Premier League title at 15/2 and I don't think any of us is entertaining that dream.
  5. It was a big ask for anyone to come in with 4 games to go, but surely an impossible task for a manager whose style is diametrically opposed to the available players? Leeds' owners shouldn't have let Bielsa go, and sure as shit shouldn't have appointed someone like Allardyce. Should have just given it to a Leeds legend until the end of the season, like Michael Brown or El Hadji Diouf
  6. This is why I'm always polite to Alexa.
  7. Apparently the idea is the same as Kuol; stick him straight out on loan. Hopefully not Scotland this time.
  8. I do not know from where you get the fucking nerve to question my aridity.
  9. No, no guarantees, and I wouldn't swap it now, I'm just wondering if we'll struggle to compete in all competitions next year because our progress has been so dramatic.
  10. One thing I was thinking about and I'm sure to get a pile of shit for saying it, but do you think we've missed out on a couple more season in the progression phase? Like a season finishing top half where we replace Ritchie et al with better players, a season in Europe where we replace Willock and Burn with better players, then get into the CL and have a deep(er) squad with the benefit of another 2-3yrs of improvements to our youth system too?
  11. Oh that's because Manchester United did it organically. Y'know, aside from buying the best players in the league from their rivals like Berbatov, Cantona, Carrick, Cole, Ferdinand, Keane, Lukaku, Maguire, Mata, Rooney, Sheringham, van Persie, Yorke... Or spending inordinate sums of money on foreign stars like Di Maria €75m, Pogba €105m, Sancho €85m, van Nistelrooy €28.5m, Veron €42m. Since the PL began, they've spent over €15m on a player 50 times, spending as an average €40.2m
  12. There speaks the voice of experience
  13. If I'm honest I think the way Man City have climbed to the top of the mountain blunts my enthusiasm for their achievements. There's an air of inevitability about it. Could be why Howe's achievements haven't been recognised as well, because of the ownership, there's an air of inevitability of our ascent. Yes, objectively, winning the treble is a phenomenal achievement, but it's diminished by just how far ahead they are of everyone else. Nonetheless regardless of their strength, they've clawed Arsenal back, they've beaten everyone in their path to domestic and continental cup glory, so far. Trouble is, this is the Premier League Manager of the Year. Cup competitions shouldn't really factor into it. It should really just be the manager who contextually performed best in the league, right?
  14. A hard wage cap is surely quite easily circumvented with larger signing fees, performance bonuses, etc?
  15. Aye it'll keep being used as a bogeyman, until the established elite get all the benefits the ESL without having to leave the CL.
  16. Isn't it his job to assimilate the monster? I think it is fair to look at the performances of last year vs this. Probably more fair to compare two seasons of a manager who's had largely the same side, than it is to compare the team performances of manager who came in part way through this season vs that team's performance in 21/22?
  17. Looks like you've just stumbled on a bit of an al fresco threesome. Two shocked and embarrassed, the third turning away in shame.
