He's harmless enough, and I'm nothing if not genial to the elderly and infirm, just ask Renton.

Fulham Fumblers vs. Newcastle Nest Invaders

Yes, but you need to have greater depth of squad, better game management, and higher quality throughout. -
Jokes on him. His grandson is wearing Man City kit, not a Reg Vardy top in sight.

There's a mackem (early 60s I reckon) who takes his grandson to the same football thing as my lad. The delusions and weirdness is not restricted to RTG; Despite the blood money we've not signed anybody decent. Bruno, Botman, Isak, Tonali, Gordon, Barnes, Pope, don't count because they only joined for the money. Despite all the money (£1bn apparently) we've spent we've not achieved anything. The Champions League, League Cup Final, and 2 domestic Quarter Finals don't count as achievements. Howe's a terrible manager and anyway he'll be off to join England soon enough. PSR means the Saudis will be off soon, he's heard they're interested in Aston Villa. Now, I reckon some of this is him just trying to get a rise out of the Newcastle fan, y'know, for the LOLs. But once you wade through the horseshit, there are some nuggets of nonsense. He did backtrack on a few things, like the standard of players now vs Ashley's time. A team outside the established elite getting CL and QFs is an achievement. But he was adamant that Howe is shit and he'll get the England job, and that PSR means the Saudis will fuck it all off and buy Villa instead. I don't want to have a proper argument with him because a) his grandson and my lad are mates, b) it's mostly bluster and c) the bits that aren't bluster, are very funny to me.

Trouble with the high press is that if any link in the chain is weak, the whole thing falls apart. So with Gordon not looking right, Bruno and Joelinton not playing particularly well, Isak being injured, Tonali not yet being fully trusted (for whatever reason?), Schar only having 1 full game under his belt, Botman missing, Pope looking a bit shaky and an oft-changed back four, it's no great surprise that chain is fucked. -

Howay Renton man, No one is saying we're as bad as we were under Bruce. No, we didn't win through sheer luck, it's through moments of individual quality (Barnes & Schar), moments of a team working well together and so on. It's also an opposition failing to take their chances, and making defensive errors themselves. I don't think we need to make sweeping changes and I do think there are several distinct influences that mitigate the performance. Once the latter are resolved as much as possible, the former will be way, way easier to fix. The defence isn't quite working right now. There's too big of a gap between them and the midfield, which means when the under-performing midfield is played through (or over), the defence is overrun. You can close that gap by shifting the midfield back, or the defence up. I don't think our CBs have the pace to play much further up, so I'd make changes to the midfield. I don't want to abandon the high press, so that means we can't simply drag the 4-3-3 back 10-20yds. Keep the high press, but swap to a 4-2-3-1 formation. -
Doesn't Keegan speak about wanting Modric, and yet Fat Sam is claiming that he wanted him? Which manager does the player seem more suited to?

Performance wise, we've been pretty poor for some time. Last season you could justifiably pin the blame on injuries and suspensions and there's a little of that remaining now. But, we've been poor in possession, poor in the tackle, poor with decisions and poor in terms of effort. That can't be explained away by Botman or Wilson's absence. -
If Stephen King believes a Thinking Man would appreciate Rebel Ridge more than Rambo First Blood, he's not watch either film, nor met a thinking man. Rebel Ridge is a pretty bog standard Military Man meets crooked locals, and singlehandedly takes them out. It's fine, but the fight scenes are underwhelming, the plot as some big ol' holes in it and a lot of the acting is pretty shitty.

Because Tottenham have been established as one of the PL's 'elite' clubs for some time now. Because they have a commercial department that is more than a few years old. Their previous deal with Aurasma was worth £10m a season, and the monster deal signed with AIA back in 2019 just after they finished as CL runner up, moved into their brand spanking new stadium, had one of the most highly regarded managers in world football, etc.
