Really, chummy? I'd swop Parker,Emre,Owen and Solano any day for bellamy and robert. If he'd got rid of ameobi I'd call it a terrific job. Problem is, like a number of people on the forum, you are obsessed with your dislike for souness and you can't see the possibilities that these players bring to the Toon. Luque I don't know much about but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. You.....keep on whining as I don't believe you want us to be successful if Souness is manager. That's pretty sad just to be able to say I told you so.

It's amazing that you lot can whine so much. Instead of looking down the line when the squad will be fit and we will be able to field a team that looks every bit as good as any team bar chelsea, you prefer to drone on about bellamy and souness. FFS, we have signed five players better than bellamy so get your heads out of your ar$es and stop living in the past. Once these injuries clear up we can look forward to some good times at SJP.

Stick to making up your own words and language. And take your threats of racism elsewhere.... we don't need it on the forum.

" bigging up " ? Is that some form of English? You've lost me.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your country or liking the Queen if that's what you choose. It's sad sacks like you that have to associate that with racism. What are you looking for....kudos from the politically correct tossers on the forum?

Nobody is perfect. But I seem to recall that missing planes and arriving back late was an issue at times, especially with the likes of asprilla. I can speak from experience that it doesn't happen that often, but some of these superstars seemed to manage to do it a lot more than us regular joes who work for a living. That was one of the things that frustrated BR and rightly so when we are paying their wages and he has to plan ahead.

You might need kudoes from the forum alex, that's up to you. Some of us form our own opinions.

He deserves the criticism because he is consistently rubbish. For some reason the ameobi apologists want to overlook this and shift the blame to anything....other players that he can't play with, the system.....anything other than facing up to the fact that ameobi is just plain sh!te. At 24 he is not going to develop much further and he's certainly not going to get any faster. He's much better suited to the sands with a bucket of carrots.

I'd rather see an English team win than some of these cynical, fall over at the dfrop of a hat foreign players...especially the portuguese......or the sneaky, sly italians. Can't understand anybody who'd want them to win over a British team but then again, it takes all sorts, I suppose.

He was a good player but I don't think he is rated as a top player in the league. Clearly shown that none of the top teams either in this country or abroad wanted him and that has to be surprising based on his ability but they probably looked at the overall package. It's a shame but some people are their own worst enemy and are incapable of growing up and recognizing it.........especially some rich, pampered footballer....and it results in lost opportunities for them. And robbed us of a talented player.

Perhaps O'Leary knew the injury was longer term and is laughing quietly as Milner is playing well and he offloaded a crock.
-
Only total idiots think ameobi in any way resembles a football player. But there are plenty on this board that's for sure.

The only thing I expect from robert is a handful of exceptional goals lost in a season of petty, whining, pointing-the-finger-at-everybodyelse to explain his own lacklustre overall contribution as pompey slide out of the premier league. And I expect the pompey fans to be glad to see the back of him in May.

How on earth he got in the England squad amazes me. That goes for dyer as well because neither have had performances in the last couple of years to justify selection.

Butt did have a point that he wasn't used to doing a lap of honour when you lose. Makes sense when you think about it.
