Racism alive and kicking in England, say Uefa
Footsoldier replied to Gemmill's topic in Newcastle Forum
If racism is so prevalent in Spain, why would any black players want to go there? Why is there a good chance that Henry may well swop his racially tolerant life in London for Barcelona? If these players are willing to sacrifice any principles they may have and put up with it for the money, why should I give a toss if a spanish fan is racist or not? -
Robson's so called huge international network didn't really get us very far , did it? Unless of course you consider players like Viana and the whole south american fiasco gems.
-
Has to make you wonder. Pearce is doing a good job at MC and looks like he knows what he's doing so it's hard to believe that he'd let a player go for nothing that he felt could contribute. If Pearce thinks he's surplus at city with vassell and cole up front why would he expect to get playing time behind morientes, crouch and cisse? Unless cisse is going into the slammer for assault of course.

If anybody says it's not about the money it's always about the money. Nobody in their right mind walks away from 3 mill. and I don't expect GS to either. If he says he'll resign, then a deal was done to his satisfaction.

Another option would be that nobody goes to the next home game. And everybody who wants to make the statement takes part. I know it's already paid for, but imagine if there was only the away support and the rest of the ground was empty? That would make FS take notice more than an a handful shouting Souness out.

You need to get out a bit more craig.

Quality responses as usual.

See....there you go alex. You were just trying to hard. I mentioned that you comprehension skills were probably not so good and sure enough you proved it. If you go back to my post ....and read it slowly and out loud if it helps...you'll see that I said that I did not see Saturday's game so could not comment on his performance other than from reports. Never mind...keep trying.
-
Nice response wacky. What are you? Ten years old. Takea tip...drop out of school now as any more of it won't do you much good.
-
That's alright alex. Take your time. There's no rush. You probaly don't read too fast and your comprehension is may be limited. Perhaps you should wait for the rest of the clique to reply first so you don't upset anybody
-
What a f*****g clique on this board. You're all afraid to upset your little friends so now you can't even believe the evidence of your own eyes. I didn't see yesterday's game so I can't comment on his performance but from reports it was sh!te. What I have seen of him is that he is soft and easily knocked off the ball. Even without a physical side to his game, he can't get past players and put in any decent crosses and isn't direct enough to pose much of a threat on goal. Not great in the air and although he might have a decent shot, doesn't use it much. Comparisons with Henry in his first season which some of you is a valid comparison.? Ok...Henry was about 21 or so when he joined arse in 1999. Luque is now 28 or will be in a few weeks and cost near enough 10 mill. Coming back from injury...I'll give him that...but surely to God he is capable of showing me something taht makes me think he's one of the best players in Spain who, at his age, should be at the peak of his career. Unlike Henry when he signed as he was just a kid coming in to the league. FFS, I'd like to see Luque take the place by storm and get raving reviews but seeing as it's Newcastle, I'd settle for something like " aye...from what I've seen so far he's going to be a good'un ". Can anybody honestly say that? It's not souness' fault that Luque one on one can't beat a man. Speaking of Souness. I certainly said when he arrived he deserves a chance seeing as how there was nothing we could do but accept the appointment. I also said, for the likes of bombadil who has selective recall, that if he didn't work out then he should be canned. Clearly, it hasn't and he should be gone. I don't think I've called anybody stupid for wanting Souness out unless it was to those people who were on his back irrationally from day one. Like him or not, he deserved the chance to sink or swim. And like it or not, injuries have played a huge part in him hopefully getting the sack today.
-
Luque has looked like a tart since he came here. Who was that clown who was going on about him being a brilliant player? The one who claimed to watch a lot of spanish football and had family over there so he could tell a good spanish player alright? I can't remember who it was but it was a regular contributor. TBH, there's lot of pricks on this site that I wouldn't want to work with as well. And I know them about as well as they know Shearer.
-
Hate to say it as I never want to see the Toon lose, but I think most of us are so tired of this stalemate. If it takes this score to get GS out then so be it. If it has to be followed up with a defeat at Cheltenham....which will lead to another thirty years of a Ronnie F*****g Radford like purgatory and being the laughing stock of the country.... then it might be worth it.
-
Good players, yes. They should be replaced.
-
If robert is a good player HTL, he didn't exactly demonstrate it at pompey where they were more than glad to see the back of him.
-
Solano is playing shite compared to last season at villa and is providing very little service to any front players. Emre.....can't remember it's so long ago Luque looks like a tart and Shearer got on the end of the only decent thing he's done that actually " unlocked" a defence. Shearer's legs have gone but what do you expect from a 35 year old who should be played sparingly and not every minute of every game. Still our best option but as long as you have defenders who are incapable of doing anything but punting a long ball up the middle every f*****g time what more can we expect? At least when Shearer has the ball at his feet he can usually lay it off and use it constructively but very few are capable of playing a decent pass on the ground in the current team. Although Chopra has more pace than Shearer, none of the midfield or wide players..... who aren't actually wide players any more.....can offer him any service either. At least ameobi looks like having a longterm injury, thank God, the only bright spot in the current crisis.

Signed for Fuham for the rest of the season. Disappointing that he'd chose a small team like Fulham as he was a player I really wanted to sign for us.
-
Response? TBH, I looked at it, was going to and thought WTF, I just can't be arsed. It's not worth the effort.
-
Well, not a riot, like. Of course not, you might get a bad name. Shows the difference in the degree of passion for the Toon. In past years, it would have been a case of billiard balls through the directors windows to make a point with thousands demonstrating outside. Now people think a few e-mails on a forum show a passionate response.
-
Assuming we will still be in the premier league. Then again, a new manager may not be as big on turkish players.
-
Let's face it.....he can't be any worse than Faye so we've got to get the best of the deal. I'd swop a pompey tea lady for Faye and still think we got the best of the deal.
-
Why would anybody, short of a straw chewing yokel who's never seen the Toon play, think Newcastle's lack of goals is a consequence of ameobi's niggling hip injury? TBH, the fact that ameobi is injured and could possibly miss the rest of the season is the only bright spot in the last few weeks IMO.
