  1. At 20, he's a very good prospect but that's about all. And if he has opted not to sign a new contract, I'd sell him now based upon his potential.
  2. Did I really wait until page 2? I must be in a really tolerant mood today.
  3. If Butt left, he can still get rid of Faye as he's an embarrassment to football. False pretences if he's in the PFA.
  4. Big problem with N-O is the number of posters who claim to have it on good authority but then clam up if you inquire as to a source. Right...........
  5. Even though a lot of us read the ronny gill, nobody believes anything oliver has to say, so why bother with this article where he reveals who we aren't going to move for? It's as likely that he'll reveal a press conference to introduce Defoe,Campbell and Bridge tomorrow meaning everything he's written in the previous 24 hours was rubbish and forgotten.
  6. Cockney nut job but not a bad player should be an option as both are true.
  7. And he's playing in a better league.......... along with the future manager of Peru.
  8. At lesat I'm confident Duff has the right attitude and will earn his money. I won't bother listing the wasters, past and present, who are milking the club and making fools of the supporters.
  9. As long as it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg I'd take a chance. Can't see RM wanting to let him go if he looks anything like fully fit. Get's him off the wages but it's not like they'd get a load of money for him.
  10. Interesting....it's just been described as a beautiful city on N-O. I suppose it depends on where you come from.........if you're from Byker then Wallsend looks beautiful.
  11. If he won't sign a new deal then sell him now or else we'll lose out.
  12. Don't know much about him apart from snippets on the telly which can make a lot of players look good goalscorers. Is he any good?
  13. If GR is cool he's about the only one in the northeast who is as other managers act. Might be slim pickings by the end of next week as teams really get preparations under way.
  14. Shame. I like Bent and I think he could've done a good job for us if the price was right and he would've improved his game as well as he gained experience. I could see him playing up front on his own as a lone striker in 4-5-1 much more than I could see Dean Ashton doing it. Also I think Bent'd be very effective with Owen.
  15. I can't remember the exact figures but I believed he scored 5 goals in his last season. None of them were from open play IIRC.
  16. Hope it's trezuguet. He's one of the most over rated players out there. If this happens and we get Kuyt and Saviola then we are a shoe in for 4th spot or better.
  17. He did a good job last season as everybody knows. Still, it's too early to judge GR. Let's see what the squad looks like on Aug.19th.
  18. ..............FS and GR begging AS to come back for another year?
  19. There's nothing wrong with GR asking AS to assess a player. In fact, who better than Shearer to look at a centre forward especially one who plays in a similar fashion? Only a dipshit would see a problem with that.
  20. If ameobi is anything but a 4th choice striker then we won't be scoring any goals. I see another patchy season where we'll have a couple of surges but will be overall inconsistent and we'll be lucky to challenge for a top six spot. All the usual excuses will be trotted out and we'll be in the same position next summer. The same muppets will be claiming that ameoba is still young....pushing 26 by then....and will show us what he can do next season when he can partner a rejeuvenated Michael Owen who unfortunately only manages a few games in April. This will happen unless GR shows some creativity in the market and unearths a couple of productive forwards who are able to settle immediately and produce goals. That probably means no foreigners, unless they have shown they can do the business in the premier league, as they'll require the mandatory 12 month settling in period.
  21. Surely Kuyt would see that his opportunities at arse would be limited as he'd be competing with that WC star and teenage sensation walcott.
  22. Top US or top NHS orthopedic surgeon? Put the knife and fork away, I'll go to the states.
  23. Let's lay the spelling to rest. It was Kuyt on his shirt so that's close enough for me.
  24. Although I've always said he's a good player, I wish him nothing but bad luck, a miserable season and no success. Just like I wish it on any player not at Newcastle.
