  1. I assume this one is being streamed via the magic of the interweb too? If so will someone be able to record it for me as i'm off out Cheers.
  2. I can't see past England and Australia either.
  3. It's easy to look back at their time through rose tinted specs but Shepherd and the Halls needed to go really. They had their time in the sun and they had helped take us on some wild rides but we were very much on a steady slide downwards. The final few years were a bit farcical - the managerial appointments were woeful and the policy he had of taking charge of transfers was always going to end in disaster. Okay, he may have had more knowledge of the game than this bunch of cretins but that's no excuse for going behind the backs of managers he appointed. He was a complete gobshite too which really didn't help. Unlike this lot he had ambition. He tried to sign the best players and for that you have to commend him but where the money was coming from and where it went (Nee way Rangers got £8 million for Boumsong) is a major issue of mine. Despite the fact he took a small fortune out of the club on a yearly basis I do think he had, or he at least believed he had, the best interest of the clubs at heart. Problem is that he was a fan and a lot of our fans know fuck all about fuck all quite frankly. He was no different. He's the type of head strong old fucker who'd stand behind you at the match and spout complete shite driving you to the point of launching your bovril at him. Ashley is Ashley and Shepherd is Shepherd. They're both different folks who have both got it wrong in some way or another when running this football club. Both have a lot to answer for.
  4. Lets remember one of the races that Massa won he won because of the FIA and their ridiculous application of the 'rules'. If they wanted wins to carry more weight they should go back to the 10-6-4-3-2-1 point system.
  5. Find someone who works at Llloyds, McDonalds etc and take advantage of the 30% line rental discount. This gets you an 18 month contract reduced from £44 per month to £29. Free I Phone Unlimited web 1200 minutes per month 500 Texts This works out at £522 over 18 months or yoy can buy on Pay and Go for £350 My mate works at O2 and unsurprisingly the deals apply to him too.
  6. I've been looking at getting an iPhone for quite some time. Firstly when is 3.0 coming out, secondly how quickly if it all do you think it will be cracked and thirdly is it worth me buying one online off eBay or somewhere else instead of getting one on contract? I'm assuming that once it's jail broken you can put any sim in you like and I wont need to pay through the nose on O2 for 30 minutes and 170 texts a month just so I can have an iPhone.
  7. Worse than those Man United fans from outside Manchester who claim they've got a legitimate reason for supporting them because their "Uncle once bought a dog from a man who cut Sir Alex Ferguson's lawn"
  8. Thought you Washington mackem types were honourary irish now. Less it. It pains me that i'm the width of a motorway away from being technically in Gateshead and therefore not a social leper.
  9. I'm not celebrating St. Patricks day because i'm not fucking Irish. It gets right on my tits when people go out on the lash because "it's St. Patricks day" even though they live in pissing Washington and have no affiliation with Ireland whatsoever. Faux-paddy cunts
  10. Randomly applauded the radio any more, Stevie?
  11. They're well in the shite too. If we manage to scrape a win against Arsenal (Let me dream ) we'd go above them because their goal difference still isn't much cop IIRC. The mackems are currently torn between planning their street parties in anticipation of us being relegated, and nervously looking at their own current shit form and iffy-looking run of fixtures. It would be lovely if they got sucked in mind, but I think they'll be alright unfortunately. I get the feeling some of them wouldn't be too bothered if they went down as long as we went with them.

  13. Ashley would become the Messiah as other clubs reliant on the TV money sank like a stone and we clawed our way back up.
  14. I assume you mean me? I did it as honestly as possible and that's what I came up with. I'm not one to be overly optimistic as I really think we'll go down but that's just what my predictions came out as. my bad. if i could inject some optimism i would but, really there is so much work to be done, we'd need to rebuild completely. regardless, I do want our team to stay up and us to rebuild and get rid of the shite..... I don't think we need to rebuild completely on the pitch. There are half a dozen players who i'd say we desperately need to get rid of due to wages/lack of quality (Smith, Geremi, Butt, Duff etc.) and then it's split 65/35 between players who should be nothing but backup and players who are good enough. Our main issue is lack of squad depth and if we can ship out the half a dozen or some players alluded to, replace them and then plug the other holes in the squad that have needed filling for a long time (creative midfielder would be nice at the 17th time of asking) we're easily good enough to stay up. We do need serious rebuilding off the pitch. Kinnear? Calderwood? Hughton? Wise? Llambias? They all need to dee one.
  15. According to the man himself he apparently was match fit. Your assessment of NUSC is fucking ridiculous. Firstly, this club doesn't need to go down for members to feel justified in their feelings towards the current regime. They've already proven they're complete fuckwits incapable of running a bath let alone a football club. Secondly and most importantly people for NUSC don't just sit in their apparent ivory tower and judge from on high. They go to games both home and away and they were supporting this club when you were nowt but a glint in your Dad's eye. They have an emotional and a financial commitment to the club and have done for years. Just because they have a different opinion of the way the club is being ran and the way to solve the problem doesn't make them any less of a fan of NUFC than yourself. It's actually quite ironic that you alluded to that as some of the shit flung in the direction of NUSC has been that they see themselves as ubers and 'better fans'.
  16. The spunk used in the opening sequence is real. Apparently they handed a bucket around the set and the crew filled it up
  17. Just because Pud is a member of NUSC doesn't necessarily mean NUSC are peddling this rumour. He's just passing on what he has heard to other Newcastle United fans who would be interested in such a thing. There was no mention of NUSC in the original post, in fact you're the first person to bring the supporters club into it. Football forums are about rumour, conjecture and calling each other cunts. If you take that away then what have we got? That's right, N-O. *shudders* I would say he is unfortunate that he is associated to NUSC. In my opinion, if you are involved in something like that and everyone knows then you should ensure you dont make them look stupid. Unfortunately i think its a stupid story, perhaps you may believe it perhaps you dont thats not for me to say. NUSC wants to gain recognition and move forward so i would suggest that to be taken seriously they shouldnt come accross people trying everything they can to make the club look stupid..........guess what? we already know it! As for your final line of what a football forum is about, i agree. I dont really tend to say much, just look on here to see if there is any news, to read a few opinions etc but perhaps in my extreme boredom i thought i would say how much of a bollocks story this. Again though what has this rumour got to do with NUSC? It's not about NUSC it's just a wild rumour that is atypical of those you get on every football board. You're effectively suggesting that anyone involved in any way with anything at all should refrain from having opinions or gossiping.

  20. Every fibre of my being says we're going down but i've just done the BBC Predictor and I have us staying up...
  21. Typical. When Duff begins to look like half the player we paid £5 million for he's dropped for no reason.
