I agree with Papa Laz. The chances of Australia winning from this position are slim to none, they're going to be playing for a draw so I think we need to get them batting ASAP and take full advantage of the two apparently (heavy) rain free days we have on a Lords pitch. It's looking increasingly likely that we'll be under the control of Fat Ash against West Brom. This means improvements on the pitch will be small if there are any at all. With this in mind do you still want Shearer as manager? I'm personally beginning to doubt bringing him in at the moment is the best for the club. He's inexperienced and if our current situation doesn't change then I really think we need to go for someone who knows the ropes. Someone like Coppell or Curbs. They both did very good jobs with clubs on a pittance and i'd be much more confident about putting in a decent showing next season should we manage to secure one of them. Thoughts?

I may be being slightly ignorant but it seems to be all bluster and not much substance. I've heard fuck all with regards to how they're going to accomodate the fan zones, merchandise ("We've got a Coke stall in Sheepfolds, yee knaa!") etc. which could be an issue.
