Ameobi, Colo, Jonas, Duff and Raylor are on my 'need to be killed' list. Only Smith, Carroll and Saylor have given a good account of themselves.

I can see Xisco being a big player for us if he gets a game under a manager who plays football on the ground. He's played exclusively under Hughton and Kinnear who both think humping the ball forward is the best option (he was injured when Shearer was brought in IIRC) and a lot of strikers struggle in that situation, especially one straight out of Spain who is pretty much the straw that broke the camels back. Imagine how fucked his head must be? When i've seen him he hasn't done anything to tell me he's the worst striker in the world ever (which is what some of our fans seem to think), just that he's hamstrung by our tendancy to use hoof and hope football. Under a proper manager he'd be ahead of Shola, no doubt in my mind.

Welcome. I always find it really interesting to hear why people from outside the region and even outside the country choose to support us.

Into space? Based on what? I'll answer when I have 40000 posts, eh? At least have the bollocks to provide support for your claims. Since when have Seymour Pierce not been involved in the sale? In my OPINION - since last week JCW -

Alex has a point though. It's not really the type of thing you can have an opinion on, you either know or you don't. If SP weren't involved then why less 48 hours ago was Keith Harris on radio talking about the bid? -

What a deal to pretend to be involved in mind "Oh aye, we were the people who took almost a year to find a buyer for Newcastle United." -
For some reason the Grauniad website is being gay but i'll sum it up for Pud. Louise Taylor says Kinnear is wrong we don't hate southerners, only southerners who ruin our football club. She then goes on to listed all the reasons why the city is mint, along with the fans and the football club. I've always liked her

My own personal feeling is that Mr. Moat has made a bid and Seymour Pierce, being sick to death of this whole sorry saga, have leaked it to the press in the hope it forces Ashley's hand. Unfortunately it looks as if MA is acting the twat again. -
"I was offered it but I said no, I have to look after my health. Give me three months." Wasn't this the person who wanted to come back in April regardless of whether he was still bed ridden or not?

We all know JFK is a complete Walter Mitty. He was probably just trying to paint himself as this 'man in demand'.

If he can't find a buyer than I do want him to appoint a manager give them some funds and allow us to just get on with the season. It would be more disastrous for the club if he were to sit on his hands and keep chasing these potentially fictional figures who are looking to buy us come the start of the season. We're not really in a position where we can afford to dick around and if three or four games into the season we're still rudderless I fear for our safety. I believe that some of Ashley's mistakes last season were based on pure arrogance. He never thought that a club like NUFC could or would get relegated regardless of the circumstances hence the reason he was a miserly fucker in the transfer windows. I don;t believe for a second he'll be willing to put in anything like £40 million but he'll probably try to put some figure, no matter how small, on the table if he thinks it'll take this club back to the Premier League and increase the price.

Keith Harris: Club may be sold this month, but not by our first game

Can I point out it's still unmitigated bullshit -

Aye, I originally thought that thread was directed at the fans but it seems to be a dig at NewsNow. -
I had a blazing row with my brother today about the pros and cons of Martins (he's your typical Oba fanboy and he hates Owen). It went something like this: Me: "He can't finish" Him: "Aye he can" Me: "He can't control the ball" Him: "Aye he can" Me: "He can't use his pace properly" Him: "Aye he can" Me: "His goal to game record is worse than Owen's" Him: "erm.....ju.....err.......FUCK OFF!!!" I thought he was going to cry

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/news/breaking-n...72703-24287174/ The WHAT? Is it him running towards the Tyne Bridge complete with bag that has the word 'Swag' written on slung over his shoulder?

Christ, I'm gutted He did so much for this club, taking us from the brink of relegation to the Champions League. I get the feeling he was hanging on to see that game on Sunday. Cancer is such a bastard.

Sounds like another Profitable Groupesque PR stunt to me. The lad has came from nowhere. Has he actually got any cash?
-
Not only is he leaving but he's nicking our ball too Actually, that being Martins he'll probably trip over it while on the way to the airport before pulling that face that makes him look like he's shat himself but it wasn't his fault.
-
The myth he was a good player was built on that type of stuff. He was unpredictable but we needed something more than just that. We needed someone who could put away the easy chances, use his footballing brain and pace to beat defenders and someone who could control the ball. Unfortunately Oba was none of those things.
-
To some he was a cult hero, to me he was another example of how this club paid over the odds for players that simply couldn't cut it.
