  1. Found out I just dont see why spending £1.5m for the sake of it. He wont give us anything apart from some pace but fuck all end product. "Fuck all end product" simply doesn't tally with the number of fucking goals he's scored, man Okay, he might not cut it in the Championship but for all we know he might storm the gaff. £1.5 million is pennies in todays game and if he scores one goal which helps us get promoted then it's been a risk worth taking. I'm not a huge fan of Beckford either, but this little paddy doesn't make any sense.
  2. Comparable with a certain Andrew Cole when he was on our books. IMO strikers (I differentiate them from 'forwards') need, by definition to be greedy. It's their role to jump on any ball and try to stick it in the net. And what's wrong with a player having the hump about being substituted? Nowt wrong with a bit of passion. There is greedy and wasting chances time after time like he does. There isnt ANYTHING wrong at all with passion but effing and geffing at the gaffer when youre being taken off is wrong. Hang on a second, he's scored 20 goals this season and you're claiming he's wasted chance after chance? Yet you say he's lazy? It doesn't add up man! I'm convinced. Beckford has definitely been horsing Wykiki's women
  3. It's not a choice between Beckford and A.N. Other, it's a choice between Beckford and nee bugger. For that reason I'll take him. I see it as a fairly risk free investment. If he arrives and doesn't score then we haven't spunked Owenesque amounts of money on a striker, if he arrives and he scores in the Championship then the money we earn from promotion will justify his fee and if he arrives and he scores in the Championship and Premiership then we've got a bargain. Fact of the matter is he's a natural goalscorer - something we don't have at the club currently. Carroll is a big man, Ranger is still too raw, Lovenkrands is capable of going missing from games and Shola is, well...Shola. I don't know why Wykiki is getting so annoyed about it. Did he fuck your lass or something?
  4. It looks very familiar. Get the Mirror emailed if you're sure.
  5. Harper loves it. You can tell he just wants to wallop everything.
  6. Blue for red and it would be quite nice. Prefer the other one though.
  7. I concur. One of his first performances was petulant in the extreme and many fans seem to have held that against him but since he's been good. He gets called lazy, which baffles the living daylights out of me because while he's not willing to chase everything like a labrador puppy he puts a decent shift in. I don't expect our strikers to go after every wayward hoof, if they did they'd be blowing out of their arse after 30 minutes.
  8. "I'll never forget the evening I wanked myself silly to the 'fucking on a box' scene in 8 Mile. The next time I wipe the quickly drying cum off my hairy stomach I'll think of her. RIP America's Rose."
  9. Stevie has a point. This faux grief whenever someone vaguely famous dies is tedious in the extreme. It's sad with anyone kicks the bucket but it only seems to be broadcast to this extent when it's a celeb. Or a squaddie.
  10. Louis "It spoils the race for the Christmas number 1" Walsh was even worse than her. He came out with a pearler in todays Sun - Joe could sell out Wembley, Rage couldn't. It really, really worries me that the people who effectively run the pop music business in this country know so little about actual music. Maybe I was just labouring under the assumption that Cowell and co. were actually quite knowledgable and just producing saccharine bullshit because it sold records but clearly not. It's actually scary to see that these people believe the insipid dross they produce has any artistic merit whatsoever.
  11. More chance of fucking her dead than I had when she was alive so it's not all bad.
  12. It's not about anything really. It's a few hundred thousand people trying to have a laugh at the expense of the few who still think the charts matter as a marker of talent and that's it.
  13. They seem to think that Rage getting a number one will see the Government fall. It's only fucking music
  14. Apparently Rage have won. 502,000 sales to 450,000 for the Mackem Mincer. If you've got a few minutes to kill you could do worse than visit this. Jesus cunting wept
  15. The only thing more annoying that the record buying public are the people looking down the nose at them for indulging in a spot of interweb campaigning.
  16. 'Lawro' scathing about NUFC ???? :o You'll be telling me there's no Santa, next. It was mainly about thumping the ball up the middle. And he was spot on about Guti not taking on a novice right back. Not sure who Lawro's mate was but he called Pancrate "a French youngster" and Shola "incredibly popular on Tyneside" That's the second or third time i've heard Pancrate referred to as a "youngster" More confusion over his age than Martins'.
  17. Surely Hughton must realise Butt is on his way out? It sounded like he had one of his better games for us yesterday but Lawro and his mate were still pretty scathing.
  18. playstation obviously Goes without saying
  19. Jesus cunting wept. It's like being 10 again and arguing with someone over what was better - the Playstation or the Sega Saturn. I own an iPhone (don't particularly like Apple, mind), I love it, it does everything I want a phone to do and more. I have never thought "Hmm....I really need to download this particular song right now or I may throw myself under a bus". If you do get that urge every now and again then you probably need to avoid the iPhone but given the sales figures I am assuming these people are few and far between. And anyway, what does it matter to you about how much we chose to pay for something? If we can afford it then we're well within our rights to go and spunk as much cash up the wall as we want. At the end of the day your mini-vendetta with the iPhone and it's users is pretty stupid. It's main function, ringing someone, is pretty well implemented and having a hissy because you can't do X, Y and Z is arguing the toss.
  20. Al-Faraj basically admitted he wasn't rich in an interview soon after he bought the club. Said it was just a "business investment".
  21. He's still a good player so i'm happy about it. I wouldn't want to see Colo leave though.
