I'm trying to look at this as logically as possible and £35 million is too good of an offer to turn down. I don't think it shows us to be a small time/selling club. Man United had to flog Ronaldo, Spurs got rid of Berbatov etc. These deals just happen sometimes. I don't think it'll have a huge impact on the players, this stuff happens at every club. Unfortunately we have once again shown a huge lack of foresight to allow it to happen this close to the end of the window. We couldn't reinvest even if we wanted to (and I'm not sure of that either). Typically of Ashley this deal makes a lot of sense from a financial/business POV but little or none from a footballing perspective.
