  1. Agreed. Viduka is great...on his day, but how often does that happen?..and how many games can he string together? Don't get me wrong Duke's is a great signing, but to expect the team tactics to revolve around a fella who will miss games here, there and anywhere is really not the way to success. Michael Owen is a wasted talent at the moment. No chances, the only ones being when the opposing defence makes a mistake. Martins deserves a decent run in the side but hoofing long balls to him and Owen despite Martin's Jordanesk leaping abilities means fuck all because his touch and control are shite. Opposing teams are having a field day seeing Owen and Martins with their backs to the goal. Nothing is being done to alleviate the problem. OK, Joey Barton will get better with the game time he gets under his belt but the team is still slow and laboured. As for Milner, well he really looks tired and jaded. He is just going through the motions, call it what you will. He only has one move and that is the dummy left then right which won't fool any defence. No good! And I won't give players preconceived reputations but Giles Barnes reeks a lot of Kieron Dyer. Plenty of ability and pace but a very questionable injury record and attitude. Will he really step up, or will he forever be a player with ability yet to shine like Dyer??? Do we gamble elsewhere or do we keep to our very recent traditions of buying crocks with great reputations? The side is in a transition phase...I accept that, but at the minute it looks like a side who cannot create chances; long or short. That is the most worrying thing about it all.
  2. He has said he favours playing through the middle. That's great, but who'll play out wide?.? Milner is as slow as a slug and whilst he is a two footed player, that means bugger all if he can't beat players from time to time. Geremi is even slower than Milner and his crosses and passes are even more laboured to say the least. I believe N'Zogbia has been a success story this season thus far. He has done well wherever he has been asked to play, but playing right side has shown him up once or twice and he isn't nearly as effective. Playing him wide-left would be the preferred option until Duff returns. Bringing in one or two pacy/creative players wide-right would be even better, then think about tinkering with N'Zogbia's best position. At the minute, we have very little options.
  3. I too was a fan of Big Sam when he was first appointed. To an extent I still am, I still have hope, but hoofing long balls all game to a pair of midgets whilst they are defended against by two giants is just piss poor tactics. It's the second game running that this has happened and I'm just sick of it. It shows we lack pace, movement and creativity in midfield, and it shows Big Sam is unwilling to adapt to the players he has (or doesn't have ie.Mark Viduka-yet we still hoof the ball into Owen). I don't want to go singling out players but we have nothing in the centre midfield who can thread balls at the minute or the very least have a 70% completed pass ratio, and we have nothing on the right side by way of pace and crossing ability. We are a team that can be easily defended against and to rely on Viduka to fix things up is hoping that rain will fall in the Sahara. As for the defence, here's hoping Cacapa has an excuse like sleep deprivation or wearing the wrong boots because he brought up bad memories of when Boumsong was at the club. I would have thought Cacapa would have constantly had to defend against players like Benjani when he was playing in the French League. You better be researching some player recruits Sam, and they better not be more sluggish fucking DM's-come-defenders!
  4. Don't read that shitter. Never have never will. Take what they say with a nano-grain of salt tbf.
  5. I'd have Anelka here too. Instead of Martins. I'd have Ameobi gone as soon as the clock strikes 12.00.01AM to be fair. I'd keep Martins personally. I know he's accuracy rate doesn't compare to Owen and Viduka's but he provides unpredictability off the bench. He seems to recognise the fact he isn't as valued as when he originally came to the club. So long as he knows he has a part to play and he can cope with coming off the bench when Viduka and Owen are both fit, then I want him to stay. Anelka would spit chips if he wasn't picked in the first eleven. He would cause unwanted disharmony imho, and we don't want to go back to those unfortunate days.
  6. Hope he gets the operation over and done with as quickly as possible. No mucking about, do it now and have his 3-5 weeks recuperation.
  7. Great result in the end, and good performance. Zog was quality as was Viduka and Butt. Good solid performance from Beye. Looks quick and strong. I'm glad Ameobi was nowhere in the squad. He would've missed the second goal Viduka scored. He would've stepped on the ball and fell over it tangling himself in the net. The team looked great with Smith and Martins up top as well. Bit more movement with Zoggy playing wide left. Can't wait for Joey Barton to make his first up appearance. By then Jose Enrique would have settled into the squad completely and make the LB position his own with Zoggy further forward, but in saying that Zoggy is no disgrace at LB. Very promising signs.
  8. Too early to think about the next transfer window (3 1/2 months away) but surely the time is up for Shola. He is shit. He will never be good. A half fit Viduka is better than Shola the shit. Get rid of him asap. Make Alan Smith our 4th choice striker and bring in 2 creative midfielders. I don't ever want to see Shola the dopey donkey playing in a black and white strip again. Fucking useless twat. He'd struggle playing for Leeds Utd let alone for Newcastle. The whole team were just not up to scratch last night, but be that as it may, Shola is a fucking disgrace of a footballer. First and last appearance I hope and prey.
  9. Shouldn't even be worth contemplating imo. How can they? There aim now more than ever is to get public opinion on there side. To use the money given to their child's plight in order to save there own arses is just incomprehensible. This is such an unbelievable case. One of the most intriguing of all time. Kate McCann whet to see the Pope for God's sake, and went all over Europe and even to America to get as much publicity for her daughter. To think they she and\or her husband knew all along what had happened to their daughter leaves a very sour taste in the mouth. They should be pronounced innocent until proven guilty but the evidence being compiled now is starting to become a bit overwhelming and damning; She washed Madelaine's little toy bear??? The time between Madelaine's disappearance and the time it took the pair of the parents to tell the police??? The stench of death on Kate McCann's Bible and some of her clothes that sniffer dogs have picked up??? The DNA found to be Madelaine's. Some not exactly matching but one in the boot of the hire car which came from a decomposing body and an exact match??? The body language of Kate McCann, in particular days and weeks after her daughter's disappearance??? She doesn't deserve a public lynching yet, but it isn't that far away.
  10. The ex-Boro Juninho plays in Australia now IIRC.
  11. Honestly, is this shit really worth posting up? Might be true, might not be at all, but honestly, you are pretty stupid for posting something like this up.
  12. He makes a lot of sense. Case in point David Beckham. He should still be plying his trade in Europe, but his missus wants to live it up in LA and have a TV show and all that rubbish. So far with what she's dished up over there is downright embarrassing. She makes the English look like complete twats. She probably sees Paris Hilton galavanting around and thinks that is pish. Silly cranky looking bimbo she is. As you can tell, I can't stand her, and it's unfortunate that David Beckham allows too much of her wants to dictate his life. Fair enough if they eventually went to America, but maybe wait until he's 34-35. What a waste! That is just one of many examples, and probably the most extreme one to be honest.
  13. Would have loved to have seen both of them go, but for two completely different reasons. Andy Carroll because he needs game time to improve on his massive potential. Shola Ameobi so he can fuck off and not play for NUFC again.
  14. Yeah I agree, he has been very solid thus far. The lad likes to play a bit too with the ball at his feet. Without putting a negative spin on it, I hope he doesn't get caught out overplaying the ball, sometimes it's better to hoof it away. But he's an international with tremendous repute, so I'm sure he would know this.
  15. agreed. if owen starts i can't see us lining up in any other formation than a 4-4-2 Bollocks. We'll play 4-3-3 away and 4-4-2 at home.
  16. I'd prefer Shola to run into a brick wall and doing his knee, requiring a reconstruction which would see him conveniently out for the season, if not forever!
  17. I sincerely hope Ameobi loses his bench spot next week or the week after. I want him to stay in the reserves. He isn't even good enough to wipe Mark Viduka's boots.
  18. Viduka was quality. If he stays fit, Newcastle's chances of winning a game improve by 40%. He has taken no time to settle into the team. I hope and pray he stays fit and keeps Ameobi out of the team. When Barton comes back, Ameobi won't be anywhere near the first team squad.
  19. Sam Allardyce=Class. He knows what he's doing and the fact that there was no Owen, Barton, Duff, and the new defenders Cacapa and Enrique are still settling in, the signs are very promising indeed.
  20. If that's the way we play every away game then I am pleased to say the least. Newcastle bossed the game and controlled the tempo. Knowing that Bolton were going to come out all guns blazing in the second half, we then slowed the game down. Sam Allardyce, you are the man. It's only one game, but going to Bolton and picking up a result was unheard of in years gone by. Well done. Cartwheels were done at my residence yesterday!!!!!
  21. Smokescreen to be honest.
  22. absolutely! i thought it sounded very unprofessional when the news broke over the weekend but what a masterstroke if he pulls it off. still; it does suggest that are financial situation is pretty dire as we're clearly fighting for every penny we can get at the moment. and it doesn't portray us in the best light when it comes to future negotiations. No it doesn't. If we were that desperate we'd have sold him. i'm not claiming to know everything that's gone on in this deal Fuck, are you sure about that? hey, feel free to spill the beans if you know something the rest of us don't I don't claim to know anything inside the circle at SJP. But I don't base my arguments on assumptions like you and make out they are fact. The new heirarchy has always said it will not let information like how much the club can spend out in the open. Yet you deduce points based on the fact the club is haggling over Dyer's price? And what does haggling have to do with other clubs' intentions to buy our players then? If we offered say 6 million for a player but only paid 4.5 million then I'd be concerned. But I think the new regime are doing a fine job. You are a chronic pessimist. You are used to the club doing the shit. Don't assume for a change and see how accurate you are, and wait and be patient for a change!!!

It suggests nothing of the sort. We are trying to sell, not trying to buy. If Eggart and Curbs want him so much, they will agree the new fee. Simple as that.
