Obama will stroll through for a win. My projected outcome here: My tip for the Electoral College is that Obama will get 313. 270 are needed to be declared the winner of the the election. The Democrats will have a majority in the Senate (approximately 60 out of 100), and they will also hold the majority in the House Of Representatives. This all means Obama will have a clear mandate to carry out whatever he pleases for the next 4 years. O B A M A

There isn't a telescope powerful enough. magnification is not good enough What happened to the images from the Japanese fly by last year? Being studied by Japanese scientists and most of it won't be released up until at least 12 months after the ending of that Selene moon mission. The few that have been released are low definition images which aren't really anything new. They can be seen here; Nothing too groundbreaking about those. JAXA released this though as evidence of Apollo 15's moon landing; halo around Apollo 15 landing site

Of course they live here. They are everywhere. something is showing off further commentary

Obama will win. There are traditional republican states that are swinging and I think he'll win it comfortably. His campaign has by and large been a smooth one and I think he's reached out to more people especially the disenfranchised middle class who previously had not bothered to vote.

Yup. If Ashley doesn't manage a sale by Christmas time we are assured of the drop and even if he does sell then, we are still not guaranteed of avoiding relegation as it leaves little time to organise a shopping list of players the club desperately needs, unless we go out and buy players JFK wants. I have no confidence in Steven Taylor and the fact he gets picked in the team without any real competition, it shows just how brittle we really are at the back. Possible wins will be draws and possible draws will be losses. Of other teams I believe West Brom will get relegated and quite possibly Bolton or Stoke, or all three which will save us a little heartache.

Peace to you my friend but is the above quote true??? Sounds quite contradictory and nonsensical tbf This is it: These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us! Stick it into google and there's literally 100s of conspiracy sites that mention it. Most of the sites are bollocks but it's quite a famous alleged quote. Basically it was supposed to have been heard by all the radio hams that were also picking the signal up that was being beamed back to Earth. I've never actually seen it on anywhere credible though. I think Buzz Aldrin did actually see a UFO though (before they got to the Moon). It was literally that though - i.e. an unidentified flying object rather than an alien spacecraft. There a few credible theories as to what it could have been. My apologies Alex. The above original post from me was directed at Parky, as in Parky, you believe in ET's yet you don't believe America reached the moon??? What is all that about? Anyway Alex the transcript you are referring to in regards to Neil Armstrong and his description of alien bases on the moon crater has been proven to be a hoax, I do believe. But most if not all astronauts believe we are not alone. Do you remember most recently Dr Edgar Mitchell's comments about ET's. These guys are not allowed to speak their minds in relation to this subject. It falls under the category of national security and obviously public humiliation. Creationists still are the majority in America, well at least they are the loudest.

Hope he's relieved of his position. For too long have Arsenal fans had it so easy for themselves. They deserve a bit of what we've had for 4 years.

They could do imo. No evidence to suggest either way, but my opinion is they could be everywhere in our solar system including here on earth. We could merely be an ant farm, seemingly unaware of more benevolent/powerful figures who our forefathers considered to be gods. This idea could be bollocks... although it could not. I could be studying you as we speak....... Yes, just as I have studied you through your posts here over a period of time.

Could very well have been. Or they could have been placed there by astronauts on covert mission/s. For me personally I don't dispute that America has sent man on the moon. I question what rocket was used, what mission, which astonauts and which year (could have been earlier than 1969). I think China plans to send a manned-mission to the moon by 2020. That's 12 years of more doubt and questioning - Yes, no, maybe. Actually it is the new Nasa manned moon mission that has estimated 2020. This kind of thing just makes me laugh..Meant to be a piece of piss putting men on the moon apparently, after all we did it in the 60's?? If you look at how much cash they threw at it then though, compared to now...... well it's surprising we can get out of the atmosphere. Yes but the tech curve evens out the monetary needs. It's my belief that they still find it very hard to put men on the moon (if they ever did), but now the Chinese have taken an interest, they have no choice but to go back. However the Americans and Russians are aware of 'the things' on the moon and are wary of going back (they ditched the ideas of dumping radioactive waste in space quite early). The Chinese are all gung ho about it which means they don't really know what is going on. This is vintage Parky btw. He doesn't accept the Americans definitely went to the Moon but he hints at them and the Soviets having knowledge of aliens there anyway What was the stuff that was supposedly picked up by amateur radio enthusiasts that hints at there being some alien presence there btw. I've read a transcript once. The astronaut says I can see it looking at me or something like that. Has that ever been verified? The mechanical things we sent already picked up enough to get JFK killed. Interesting thing about the Luna and other early mechanical landings was the amount of misses (totally missed the moon) and crashes. We didn't have our sums right for a long time..... Did we underestimate the gravitational forces of the moon, as I put forward many posts ago???

Nah, to get manned missions to the moon requires a lot of grunt, and there's a lot more health and safety these days (lose a few Astronauts in the early days and it was part of the cost, now it's an unmitigated disaster), and new technology might be 15% better, but it's often 50% more expensive) so on balance I think they'd probably need to spend even more than then. Besides which they probably haven't decide if the distance to the moon is metric or imperial yet. I think there are men on the moon already and permanently, they just don't really belong to America/Nasa/Federal Govt. Mining titanium and helium-3... and building relations with other worldly beings far advanced than us. All possibilities and good ones too.

I concur Parky my friend.

Yes, most of it can be. But there are anomalies and theories which cannot be debinked(sic). Tbf there aren't any on this thread who deny man got to the moon. Just how, when, and what they encountered. The problem is, I could be stood on the moon now, and yet there'd be no way to prove it to the standard required by conspiracy (because it's impossible, it's still possible to make a reasonable internet argument for a flat Earth ). Anything can be said and not be argued against if any one particular interest or industry is monopolised.

An astronaut's conversation has been edited. Was it music from another interplanetary race? NASA hiding truth And this interesting article from a former NASA employee. Wacko or truth teller? sworn statement

You would think with the high powered telescopes, that would be easy to demonstrate. Although one of the many pieces of evidence against the moon landings is the lack of a blast crater under the lunar lander, many thousands of pounds of thrust used in the landing surely would have blown away the dusty surface of the moon, yet in any of the photographs taken by the astronaughts show a pristine flat surface. Correct-a-mundo - what's more, with very little atmosphere there would have been no gravity to disperse the dust-cloud that this thrust would have produced. They should have been walking around in conditions that resembled thick fog - instead, the visibility was perfect. So either the photographs were faked (ie.they were taken here on earth), or the explanation that the moon has 1/6 the gravity of earth is incorrect. Theorists suggest the gravitational pull could be as much as 2/3 that of the earth, which means the moon could very well have an atmosphere... if they are right in their theories. If the gravity was 1/6 that of earth's then a 180 pound man would weigh 30 pounds and should therefore be able to jump 6 times higher on the moon. No video or photo images (assuming they are genuine) show astronauts jumping any higher than one foot off the ground. Shouldn't they be leaping 6 foot into the air? Hoax? What about the lack of dust plume coming from the back of the lunar buggy; buggy on earth not moon What was fed to the public was obviously not the genuine thing.

Bearing in mind that by 1967 NASA was still blowing up Rockets on the launch pad and that the Russians were still shitting themselves that any human travelling through deep space would get fried by the Van Allen belt of radiation, does anyone else feel a bit sceptical that in 1969 the Americans managed to not only get to the Moon but managed to get back unharmed at the first attempt ?? Yeah but admittedly NASA pumped in a huge amount of money to develop their rockets. If you pump enough money into something you achieve results. I also believe the silence of the Russians and the fact they never voiced their skepticism over America's achievements in landing man on the moon as a point which leads me to believe that they did it. I have read that small doses of radiation in the Van Allen belt is acceptable to humans without permanent damage, and also that the radiation doesn't affect humans at all period, but I'm not from a scientific background so I wouldn't have a clue. As proof that man has reached the moon there are mirrors left on the moon by members of the Apollo crew which are used to bounce lasers off of them to measure the moon's orbit and distance. I am a little skeptical about the official time line myself though, and whether the images and film supposedly taken during the Apollo 11 mission were fake, to make it appear that the mission was perfect and successful from start to finish. NASA has lied about the use of fibre optics. They had us believe that they were using kodak - black and white film in a primitive 1960's camera; fibre optic lie I suggest you get professional help as quickly as possible No thanks. Lobster and a bottle of Moet will do me

Stupid theory. Not even Mike Ashley would be daft enough to think this would be an option.

I believe in the existence of extraterrestrials, however on this occasion, no. I think this is fake. Reasons??? 1. A satellite, probably ISS 2. No background, no point of reference. "It's moving fast". OK, I believe him, don't you? 3. Satellite, probably ISS 4. No background, no point of reference. While zooming out we hear "it's moving away". It's an object alright, but not a UFO. Great camera skills. Not out of focus or escapes his view at any one time. 5. Looks like a star. 6. Offshore oil platform 7. No background, no frame of reference, same "thing on a string" we saw before 8. Oil platform UFO sighting in Turkiye The sighting of a UFO this week has excited the Turkish media with pictures appearing in both tabloid style and more serious broadsheet papers this week. The flying object was spotted in the Karaköprü area of Şanlıurfa province towards 4am on Wednesday morning. Filmed by an amateur videographer the strangely glowing hexagonal ball of light hovered in the sky emitting red, green and white lights and moved both fast and erratically. After fifteen minutes it disappeared without a trace. As of yet no official explanation has been offered as to what it might be although internet comments vary between lauding a genuine sighting of a ‘Green Fireball’ phenomenon, non believers claiming the object is just a star filmed under magnification and the more cynical believing that these are American spy planes monitoring Turkey’s border with Syria. This is not the first instance of a UFO sighting in Turkey. They occur regularly with recent ones in Konya in March 2007 in the early evening which lasted on and off for a week and İstanbul on January 4th when people in the Yenibosna area of İstanbul saw a spinning circle with glowing white lights in the sky. The head of the Turkish Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Centre Haktan Akdoğan claimed in August that in the last few months the number of sightings in Turkey, as in many other countries, has been increasing. The largest concentration of sightings in Turkey and perhaps the best documented occurred between 2001 and 2002. This spate of sightings seem to have been triggered by the extraordinary events of June 7th 2001. Ten rural guardsmen from the village of Dondurmaz in Adıyaman province were watchmen for the night. All of them claimed to have seen a bright light in the shape of a large circular ‘tray’ the size of a house glowing in the sky. They watched as it flew off in the direction of Ulubaş mountain and then winked out of existence. When the men reported to their commander their statements were taken seriously and the governor of Adıyaman province, Halil Işık, had them seperated and individually questioned. Not only did their accounts tally up but when asked to draw pictures of what they had seen all the sketches were uncannily similar. Mr. Işık felt the event was serious enough to send a report with the details to the Ministry of İnternal Affairs and also informed Haktan Akdoğan at the Sirius organisation. By the 13th of June in the same year Sabah newspaper was leading with the headline ‘Everyone searching for UFO’s’ in a story that detailed how in Uşak locals had stoned an alien, in Gaziantep the police had videoed a UFO and that people all over the country were phoning in reports of strange occurrences to their local jandarma. The reports continued in a slightly hysterical atmosphere well into 2002 and included an event in Gebze on the 31st of May 2002 where a UFO was visible and circling with projecting lights for over an hour. This was followed by Akşam newspaper printing the story on 1st June 2002 of Saffet Şap, an electronic technician from Beykoz, who managed to video a flying object like a black bug with seven or eight legs. Later in the year on the 9th of November Hürriyet newspaper ran the account of four commercial pilots from different planes who had all seen UFO’s in the same patch of sky on the same day at the same time. Haktan Akdoğan of Sirius seems to be a recurring figure in Turkish UFO lore commenting freely on each event and insisting on the importance of Turkey to alien life. His motives however may not just be scientific, he is also the owner of the İstanbul UFO museum that opened in 2002 (riding on the back of these multiple UFO events) and any extra interest in aliens will also encourage punters through the door of his museum. He also runs the museum as a fairly successful franchise, of the six UFO museums in the world three are in Turkey (İstanbul, Denizli and Göreme in Cappadocia) and his website www.siriusufo.org advertises for further partners to open other UFO branch museums. İt is his clearly stated intention to open UFO museums all over Turkey to ‘further the knowledge of the Turkish people and to attract tourists’. His organisation provide all the necessary materials and installations so each museum is a de facto copy of the first. Whether they are lucrative or not is not mentioned but when the Göreme museum opened in 2006 Hürriyet newspaper reported that they had 5000 visitors in one month alone. Apparently it was especially popular with the Japanese. Whether extra terrestials exist or not is much debated but recent advances in science make the chances seem more likely. Animals known as extremophiles thrive in earth environments previously thought not to have been able to sustain life. From microbes found living without oxygen in volcanic fissures two miles down in deep ocean trenches to water bears (aka tardigrades) that can survive temperatures from nearly absolute zero to 303ºF and even live in a vacuum like that found in space. These minute living things have upended the understanding of what is needed for the survival of life. Previously scientists has worked on the assumption that both oxygen and liquid water were key factors in sustaining life but now it sems that these are only important to some types of life. The ‘rare earth’ theory is falling out of favour to be replaced with the idea that life is adaptable and that the question that needs to be asked is what kind of environment other than our own might sustain living things. The chances of intelligent life with the technology to communicate is slimmer, it is possible that such worlds have been and gone. İf life of this sort exists now they, like us would have the technology to recognise that earth is an ‘interesting’ planet and worth investigating. So why aren’t they here? Some would say they are and the report of flying objects above Karaköprü on Tuesday was a clear indication of just that.

I'm not sure about the 7 years after bit, what is the theory behind that? I am dubious about what is written in history books about the subject though, just as I am dubious about NASA and the American government. As for the bit in bold I do wonder what has really been discovered on the Lunar surface that needs to be kept secret; pyramids or fake boulders? moon's a beehive of activity I have no doubt America has flown to the moon covertly many times either to exploit resources and/or to study things on it and have successfully kept it from the public. China plan to put a man on the moon in the very near future so maybe all will be revealed then. After all China is a Communist country and atheist, so they don't have to protect the beliefs of creationists. The problem with the moon is..... it's shit. Mars is where the real action is. Helium-3. Non-radioactive fission material. Apparently...
