  1. ...and no was mercy shown. Yelled out "fuck it!" after he got hit the second time in the kidney.
  2. Piers Morgan to face the wrath of Brett Lee in 5 minutes. Hope he shows the dweeb no mercy...
  3. Your strike rate with sportspeople aint too good is it? Dave Warner, Marco Van Basten...
  4. Ok, it seems Graeme Swann's nan was on the ball somewhat. Looks like David Warner has been giving him a fair bit of grief which has affected him enough to not turn a blind eye to, so to speak, and it has happened for a time longer than this series. Hence the head up the arse comments. I find Swann's comments about Warner (allegedly) hard to disagree with as my previous post here weeks ago suggested. Cheap character but quality cricketer that he is becoming. I hate the media coverage here as much as I do the English coverage, both are as bad as each other and underestimate the knowledge of those who follow it. Or they just target the half-wits of both sets. Some publications ceratinly do. Looks like Swann knew full well his time was near (and as it showed in all but the first five overs in Perth before his body caved in) and it sounds like Warner showed him no mercy in his eyes. Or respect as many would see it in their eyes.
  5. Michael Clarke makes his first error in judgement of the entire series and sends England into bat. Slow going this, many of the 90 000 in attendance would have wanted to see Australia bat first and get to 350 at the end of the day. Could set a record of amount of dot balls bowled in a day here.
  6. Graeme Swann's granny getting involved now, blaming some Aussie players for being bad to him. Sorry, I just can't help it

Fraudulence is unaccecptable and should not be tolerated.
  8. Doesn't like the team environment though. I believe him.

Good lad. At least you admit when you are wrong. You can at least boast that your bolognaise recipe, give or take, is the best that has been posted here which I still use to this day.
  10. The wheels on England's little red bus are quickly falling off aren't they?
  11. Jumped before he was pushed tbh. Not sure he'll make it in the IPL - he isn't half as good as Murali. But at the end of the day he was a good bloke who knew how to have a laugh. And he caused a fair bit of bother to some left-handed Aussies in his time. The best off-spinning Englishman for quite a few generations.

Pretty certain it was Meenzer. Don't make me go all Columbo on your arse!

Sesame Oil instead of Veg Oil and you are on a winner Actually got that recipe here years ago, might've been Meenzer who gave that one out from memory. Snacks on the menu this year (both for Xmas and Boxing Day) are Beef Tataki with a Ponzu dipping sauce. That is 1kg block of rib-eye fillet seared on each side for 1 minute and cooled in an ice bath before being sliced thinly and served cold (keep in fridge until ready to serve), dipped in a Ponzu sauce which is made with lemon/lime/grapfruit juice mixed with rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and dashi (dried seaweed stock). Oysters, Pacific Rock Oysters and smaller Sydney Rock Oysters with either Ponzu sauce, or a sprinkle of pepper and some lemon for the traditionalist. Blue swimmer crab which I'll go out and catch on Tuesday morning and have them cooked in a large wok (in pieces) with white wine, pepper corns, soy and ginger. King Prawns which I'll have to buy and will be cooked very simply on the BBQ, skewered, after having a 1hr salt-water bath. Clams cooked in white wine, garlic and a bit of (not too much) cream also on the BBQ. Washed down with a few Coopers, and a bit of Margaret River Savignon Blanc. Looking more forward to the 'snacks' rather than the traditional mains fare this year. I'm sure there will be plenty of leftovers for sandwiches and the like.
  14. Probably more to do with having good genes, although I understand clean living does contribute. I try and have 4 meat free days a week myself up until about a fortnight ago. But recently I watched Celebrity Come Dine With Me Australia Christmas special, and Shane Warne's ex-wife was on it. A massive bogan (Australian version of a chav) who can't cook for shit - she served chicken sandwiches for entrees and thought they were a winner because she poached the chicken in champagne, her mains were lamb souvlaki where she forgot to cook onions so the lamb sat there too long by the time she managed to cook them and the guests had a hard time getting any of it down, and her desert was some shitty looking chocolate log thing where she found the recipe of it on the back a biscuit packet. That was her proud moment of the night. Needless to say she came last by a margin. But the point is she does not eat any veges at all, absolutely detests them only for a slice of tomato and lettuce here and there like when she makes her shitty souvlakis. Sounds like a lass who eats a lot of meals from tins and frozen cartons. But she looks quite fit - I think she's in her mid 40's now. Blessed with good genes and fast metabolism.
  15. Cheers Gemmill. Smashing series (from my point of view) so far. Honestly hope though that England can regroup or start again as it were to regenerate your test side. Would like to see some genuine competitveness which causes excitement for both sets of fans... and seeing as I have tickets for the fourth day of the fifth test as well and don't want to turn up to see us needing only 4 or 5 wickets to win. But it has been total domination to bring back the Ashes to its rightful owners.
  16. Good news for your lot is that Stuart Broad does not have a fracture in his foot. He's going to try and bat. He's going to have to watch real carefully for those nasty yorkers and not let his guard down for the odd rib-tickler/headhunter as well. I don't envy him. Bad news is how brutal Australia were with the bat and how much they treated your bowelers with utter contempt - playing like it were a T20 game. Jimmy Anderson going for 28 in the final over of the innings before they were put out of their misery and sent into bat again. Another total of over 500 to chase down. Hope this ends soon, I'm quickly running out of superaltives.
  17. It has to be said that Matt Prior's efforts with the gloves yesterday was probably the worst individual performance I have witnessed ever. Everything single thing he tried to do or touched turned to shit.
  18. Gorganzola and camembert for me. Accompanied on the plate with honey-dew melon wrapped in parma-ham. Washed down with a few glasses of red.
  19. Not comfirmed as such yet, but I'd say his foot is broken, just like England's spirit is. He was shown spending time in the nets just as David Warner got his innings going and obviously he wasn't happy with how he had pulled up, his limp was more pronounced than before he had tested it out. He was shown being whisked away to hospital after that. Not the first time he's had trouble walking against us this...
  20. I found day 3 to be quite enjoyable myself.
  21. Pitching the ball up was the tactic deployed by the Aussies today, the end of Australia's innings showed that the ball swung and looked to cause some problems for the batsmen, albeit against the tailenders. If England had done this earlier instead of bowling short rubbish which was a waste of energy perhaps they could or would have bowled Australia out with a hundred less on the scoreboard against them- but of course speaking restrospectively is easy to do. It (pitching up) didn't work for the Aussie bowlers, besides for Shane Watson who bowls at around 130k an hour, but you can't knock them for trying something which wasn't expected. Then they opted for a period of containment which put pressure back on the English batsmen.Wickets fell after that. Then the short balls started to come, and Bell in particular looked a bit frazzled copping one in the heart. The new ball is due after about 15 overs tomorrow and big cracks are starting to appear on the wicket . Expect a barrage of head higher's before the new ball is taken. England have looked up for this game, fair play to them, there best performance on tour by far up 'til this point. They need to be more attack minded though when batting and be more intelligent when bowling, some of the field positions have been pathetic schoolboy errors. Jimmy Anderson could come into his own here though with his ability to swing the ball, but again he tactics displayed by the English has been woeful on this tour. No excuses as well considering most have been here before and done a job.
  22. ...and the reign of terror is finally about to begin.
  23. Sporting a nice little hangover today after yesterday's efforts - I had almost forgotten how bad they can be - but I bet it isn't half as bad as some of those crazy Pommy bastids sitting in that blazing sun yesterday without a hat on, oblivious to the fact that they were slow-cooking their brains and numbed by the 10-15 lagers they had during the day. I cringed every time the camera panned to them. What the fuck were they thinking?!? Obviously not very much. Anyway, looking forward to watch Mitchell Johnson cause a bit of bother with ball in hand today. Should be a good'n...
  24. Tim Bresnan looking like he was going to explode after a simple catch was botched by Carberry and Root. I almost feel for him. What a magnificent day of cricket, time to go out for some tea.
  25. Well it has to be said that I have waited very patiently waited for thall this to happen. Back in my comfort zone now mate
