Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Relegation, and the prospect of not coming back up, first bounce, like last time would have to put fear into him if he was really thinking long term.- 10610 replies

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

I've thought about this (selling his best playing assets now and not re-investing) being the prelude to Ashley finally selling up. He may have been thinking about it now or even for a while now. While first reactions to that is that it sounds great and we can't wait for that to happen, but what if he sells to another wanker or wankers? Would we be better off with the likes of the owners of Blackburn, Fulham or Cardiff? And I agree, without serious investment in the team, regardless of whose pockets the money comes from, we will be genuine relegation battlers next season. More than half the current squad will not be up for it, and the others just don't have the quality to make a difference. There are some very serious problems to overcome over the next twelve months and they are all over the shop.- 10610 replies

At the time of these rumours I had little idea of how he was as a manager - how he had his team setup, tactics and so on, so I gave no opinion on it. Plus there were stories around about his man management skills and that he was a bit of a cunt. But Sunderland have been very good over the last few weeks and play good football. Fuck me, he has even got that donkey Altidore to play like a beast now. Tactically he shits all over Pardew. In hindsight he would have been a step up.

Very disturbing to watch all that unfold yesterday. Last season we clocked off midway through April iirc, this season it is the begining of February. The season is over, we all know that, as do the players - nothing to play for now given we are safe from relegation - but next season with Coloccini, Remy and along with Cabaye already gone - the spine of the team - coupled with some disgruntled foreigners hoping for a way out things look pretty grim.- 10610 replies

Agree with that, his best position is wide right but only away from home when teams press us and his direct style of play comes to the fore on the counter. Otherwise...
-
Looked hesitant to pull the trigger using his left peg twice yesterday. Hope that was due to the rustiness he obviously has. Otherwise...

The club is merely a vehicle for players to establish themselves and go to a bigger club. Cabaye leaving was inevitable. Krul will be next (not in this transfer window but within the next three) after he racks up more game time. They are the only two in the squad who have the quality to make it at the very top level. Just hope Graeme Carr has his eyes on a few unearthed gems and Kinnear desn't fuck things up in trying to bring them in.

Four pages in and no one's actually properly seen him play then, aside from a small segment on youtube. The fact Cisse and Foluwashola are shit and useless should be enough to want another striker in, regardless of his perceived pedigree.

Woakes or Morgan?

No and no. Though I've not had a bug of any kind this century tbh, not even a simple cold, but I wouldn't put it down to so-called superfoods. Apologies for the cheek, I'm glad you are recovering quickly.

If it works for you in that respect then at the end of the day that is all that matters really. Recent studies have shown that calcium absorption isn't enhanced by taking these kinds of supplements. For me, that is a concern as I don't have much of a calcium intake to begin with (I don't drink cream milk or eat sardine bones or any fish bones for that matter), most of my calcium is derived from consuming kale - so I need to make it count by ensuring my body absorbs as much of it as possible. UV inflicted mushies are the best source. At the end of the day like everything though, any supplement needs to be met with a half-decent nutritienal diet to be beneficial.

A decent mental leap I guess, fortunately I've not affected others (yet) around me before I've realised that I needed change. I've been told that I look and act relatively sober after two bottles or so apart from the glassy eyes and I retreat instead of becoming confronting when I get to a really bad state. Doesn't diminish the problem (as I see it though), and it doesn't take away from how I'm feeling about it either - it is a bother to me - and I don't want it to become a bigger problem then it is already. Of course I don't want liver or pancreas problems in a decade's time either. I'm still in my health phase/kick, and being a creature of habit that I am I will let this continue for as long as possible without disruption or excuses. What I do after this phase will ultimately determine the next steps that I need to take.

A vomiting bug, eh? No, I've never experienced one of those before.

I think I'm the same as you tbh. I can't do moderation. I'm either clean living or I'm drinking 2 bottles of wine a day - yes it has gotten to that stage now where I'm not satisfied unless I drink that much. Arranging dinner to suit what I fancy to drink is at the end of the day just an excuse to get stuck in and a sign of a problem, aside from needing 2 bottles to be satisfied. I'm in my detox/fitness mode atm, been at it for 10 days, so I can stop in phases , but it is just a phase and not permanent and that is the concern. Last time I had a blood test the doctor told me my liver was in the state of a hepatitis sufferer, and that was last October. Christmas/New Years has come and gone and I dread what state it is in right now. Getting to the stage now where I must consider permanent sobriety - there are no in-betweens for me. Congrats on you taking charge with it btw.

HIIT workout. I'm not vain but I must confess that I look like a fucking athlete. God like.

Vitamin D supplements are a waste of time. They don't do what they claim to do. If you want a good dose of vitamin D without sitting out in the sun and risking skin cancer leave mushrooms out in the sun for 20-30 mins before consuming. That is the best way.

Looking for something absolutely fucking filthy atm. Can anything get more degrading than Sasha Grey? Fisty, help me out here...

Not much that crosses my mind. I think I've mentioned it before but I have one raw beetroot a day blitzed (along with apple juice and tumeric) purely for health purposes. If you try this then I must worn you that the colouration of one's urine takes getting used to. Doing a number 2 could cause grief too if not used to it, but the years drinking copious amounts of red wine (which causes the same problem) in a sitting has allowed me to not blink an eyelid at this.

My lady is away this weekend for work (she works for an airline). Hmmm... might have a Russian themed visual fiesta.

Bit too old to be interested in that kind of thing. I believe you though, everything they do is off-the-scale good aside from that shitty pixelated porn. Studied and worked there for a bit myself so I know the culture. Probably the only country in the world that could handle large scale disasters without the need for martial law - the most orderly race of people I know - it is in their DNA. The food is fucking awesome too, and healthy despite Western fast food influence. There aren't any ugly, self-loathing obese pricks over there. Even those who are obese (Sumo wrestlers) are healthy despite their look. But again, need to unpixilate the porn...

Jap porn is shit - pixelated cunnies and all that. Not cool.

The English version of a hamburger has always been shit to be fair, especially those that are available on various British websites. Too much fucking about on the subject, diddling and daddling about semantics, putting this and putting that in the mixture to make it better. Keep it simple, keep it honest. Making a good hamburger does not require many methods or ingredients, it just requires just good produce.

A real burger has beetroot in it.

I would not endorse something that would make me leak like the Exxon Valdez.

FIFA announce that the WC in 2022 won't be held in June-July. Rather it'll be in December-January. Won't this be a bit of an arse for European leagues... Fucking corrupt cunts, there's nothing this sporting mafia organisation does that surprises me anymore. I just laugh
