How many times have Newcastle United won a European Cup?
FCUM replied to An-al (ie up me arse)'s topic in Newcastle Forum
Not really very literate are you 'the time we NEVER won it we didn't win it' No shit sherlock well matey the 5 times we have won it we have not killed any twat Ah OK, that makes everything all right then doesn't it. To the best of my knowledge Man Utd's supporters have never defaced your ground like the pathetic Munich 58 grafitti after your last semi final, nor to the best of my knowledge do they shit into cups and throw it at you. As for the obcene 'Harold Shipman is our friend' chants!! I think you are going to struggle to take the moral high ground on this one. Yes, unfortunately a palace fan was knocked down and killed whilst running from a scuffle of some kind. I didn't see it myself so won't comment further as to who started the trouble. Yes, I have heard the occasional muted version of 'you used to sing to Munich but not any more, since 96 scousers......' The other things you mention seem to be after I stopped attending Man Utd games so I won't comment further. The difference is I'm happy to accept that Man Utd have some fucking mongs for supporters and I'm happy to condemn them. Can you do the same? -
When the f*ck are UEFA going to ensure that fences like these are torn down pemanently? Is it going to take another f*ckin disaster? I've just spoken for 1/2 hr on the phone with a mate who was there last night and it appears that (as usual with the small allocations) a lot of fans had bought tickets in the home section. The police refused to let them sit in the home section and moved them all into the Man United section. They either completely under-estimated how many fans had tickets in the home end or completely disregarded it It does open a whole new debate though about standing! Most away fans stand at games I know but I think it's more prevalent with Man Utd supporters than others. I've said on here before that, apart from the atmosphere angle, it's a deliberate policy from the fans to ensure that those jibbing in are not highlighted by being without seats. From what I can gather, it was a 'hard' jib last night and not many made it so that wasn't the problem but it does make you think once again about the safety implications of standing in seated areas.

Dont drop down to his level Keith mate. Innocent scpusers got killed, along with the drunken wankers too. Fucking, scousers though, fuck off you set of thieving, job dodging cunts I think it would be fair to say that ALL those unfortunately killed that day were 'innocent' of any wrongdoing on the day. The ones killed were the poor sods at the front who had got inside the ground with plenty of time to spare and were in the correct enclosure. In some ways the scousers are right, there was no fuckin justice to it I dont believe in bringing Hillsbrough into things thats why I mention Heysel on its own however when a prick comes on shouting about how much better his teams support is than ours then I reckon its fair game to point out how many fans have died as a direct result of his lovely clubs fans. One thing on the Hillsbrough thing though is what started all this shite on here, proven or not you would think that their fans would learn not to shout about getting into the game for nowt or selling tickets on to increase the numbers above those expected. Peasepud, My post wasn't directed to you in any way, it was merely in response to the post about innocent being killed along with the drunken morons. To the scouser, I can't claim credit for writing this but it does pretty well sum up my feelings. There's a place we know where Scousers go and it's always lots of fun you can have a laugh at many things if you're ready with a pun You can mock the dead of Munich be glad that George Best's dead you can sing a dozen funny songs of Duncan Edward's head You can hope that Gary Neville gets cancer and he dies throw ammonia at Whiteside and hope it blinds his eyes You can even stone an ambulance where Alan Smith is lying even if it doesn't overturn it's bound to be fun trying You can talk of many pleasant things with your like-minded mates but you'll pause to show such reverence as you pass the Shankly Gates Where every single Scouser who ever passed away must be honoured and respected have their own special day Cos Scousers are a special breed their hearts upon their sleeve they ask the country to join in and watch them as they grieve They celebrate and they respect each Scouser who departs they ask that we can shed their tears and nurse their broken hearts Yet mention dead of anyone who doesn't fit their own they laugh out loud there is no shred of honour ever shown They laugh at young men dying on runways filled with ice and celebrate that Munich day and never would think twice of mocking Harold Shipman's dead that lived within our city these wallowers in plastic grief the masters of self pity They wave their tin foil silverware and throw cups filled with shit to shower on opposing fans but never will admit It's "justice for the 96" but never 39 It's grieving for 'poor' Michael Shields but not for Heysel dying It's always everybody else they're not the ones to blame it was Chelsea, Yorkshire coppers it's always been the same We've all shed tears as 96 lay dying on the floor but our sympathy has long since died we'll grieve with you no more. -

What's it like to have manufactured support?
FCUM replied to An-al (ie up me arse)'s topic in Newcastle Forum
I've bought loads of T shirts off them over the years, quality stuff. Prefer the Boris for PM one though -
I know you are probably all aware of it, but a quick reminder for anyone that isn't that online apps for the final are now open at the uefa website. http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/t...sid=506951.html Should have no problems shifting them if the worst comes to the worst.......... I've just applied for a mate who is putting in multiple applications.

Apart from Keegan. Robson would have won the league with Keegan's resources at his disposal tbh. In fairness to Keegan's transfer dealings though, Sima, I don't recall him always having massive resources. I might be wrong, Newcastle isn't my club so you will know more than me.....but my recollection is that Keegan had to 'earn' his bigger resources by dint of improving the clubs finances. I don't recall him having massive resources to get out of the first division and I thought be bought shrewdly to do that. Likewise I don't recall him having vast resources when he first started in the prem. Of course once he'd established a side challenging for the title he had access to much bigger resources to sign the Shearer's etc. Might just be my memory playing tricks though

How the fuck do you manufacture support Has Freddie got those far eastern sweatshops to produce bairns to go inside those horrible shirts now -
I disagree, KK built a better side from scratch. Robson was class but he took over the club in a better position with better players. Both had plenty money but KK made the better signings. KK had a better win ratio and when you analyse where the club was when both managers joined and then when they both left Keegan did far better overall. Nothing against Robson though. There are elements of Keegan's reign you can criticise (the scrapping of the reserves being one) but overall I thought his signings were top class given his resources at various stages. He signed the right players to get them out of the first div, Kilcline, Peacock etc and then made some very shrewd signings once you were up. Players like Cole were available to anybody who wanted them but Keegan saw the potential befoe others. Even players who I didn't particularly rate before he signed them like Scott Sellars proved to be very shrewd buys. I still maintain he made a mistake in playing (not necessarily signing) Asprilla towards the end of that glorious season though

There is not a lot good that comes out of Leeds but a naan kebaab from Rounday Rd is something else. Massive skewer of chicken & lamb tikka wrapped in naan bread. You could feed a family of 4 on one of those Whereabouts on Roundhay Road? What's it called? Do they deliver? Answer me! Sorry mate, I can't remember the name but the one I use when passing through (passing through as in detouring of the M62/M1 and using the old Wetherby Road because I'm starving ) is about 400yds before you reach the Fjord pub on the right hand side of road heading out of Leeds. I'll check the name next time I'm passing

Yes, I tried to cut & paste our table without success, so I'll just point you to our home page FC United home page Have to say I'm really looking forward to us playing in the FA Cup next year for this first time I never realised until we formed that you can't play in the FA Cup if you didn't take part in the Vase the previous year. We formed too late last season to get into the Vase but played in it this year, getting beat off Quorn (I always thought that was a veggie food!) so FA Cup next season here we come. You never know we might make St James Park

What division are FCUM in? And which division did they start in? Started off last year in North West Counties Div 2, bottom of the pyramid. Won the league last year and promoted to to Div 1. Barring disasters we should win this league this year and then it will be Unibond 2, Unibond 1, Conference North hopefully. What kind of crowds are you getting? Does MUFC playing effect them sometimes, or are the fans purely against the idea of supporting them now? Yes, MUFC playing does effect our gates slightly as there are some people do both. We had it up to around 5,000 last season but this season the novelty has worn off for some and we are settling for a hard core of slightly under 3,000. Still unbelievable crowds for the level of football when you consider we are behind say West Allotment in the pyramid system. The good thing is that we travel in big numbers for the aways (after all it's all in a similar area) which is giving a lot of small clubs a major financial boost. I think the league average for the North West counties was 63 prior to us joining last year The big test moving up is going to be buying our own ground, we are currently paying Bury £10,000 per match for our groundsharing agreement.

My choice of daily newspaper doesn't go on about any of those things. Then again it is the racing post My only concession to mainstream is the Sunday Times at weekend (and even then it takes me all week to read).

I'm sure you're right Catmag, the drink must be an appetite suppressant but yet it appears to be the reverse in social drinkers Do alcoholics get hangovers? Do they not just become immune? Fortunately I don't know the answer to that one.
-
I saw an old friend today at the match who I've not seen for a while. Unfortunately this guy is a full blown alcoholic and it struck me how painfully thin he looked. I've known a few alcoholics over the years and they were all painfully thin basically because they never fucking ate anything Yet, whenever I go on the piss, drink makes me bloody hungry and whenever I finish I want to stuff my face with crap. It seems to effect most people the same......... So why doesn't the drink make alcy's hungry...... I don't understand
-
Another one I'd put in the same bracket (although I know he's not popular with you lot ) is Solskjaer. He'd just signed a new boot deal prior to his last big injury and knowing he wouldn't be playing he gave the whole lot to the NSPCC.

I know this sounds wierd but I couldn't really tell the difference between most mineral waters. However, put a drop in my malt whisky and I really can taste a difference

Ah, I love that film. Proper music not like this modern shite The DVD gets an airing at least 3 or 4 times a year in our house but I'll still end up watching it again.

Drugs & prostitutes tbh. And gambling on illegal dog fights. At least he doesn't waste it then.

To be fair, Rio Ferdinand keeps an entire community of poor South African gold miners in employment
