Disgraceful decision. As much the fault of the system as Clatenburg, who know doubt would never have got another ManU match to referee if he had done the right thing.

Wouldn't have been allowed, too many clubs in one season. I might be wrong

Paul - you don't have to post every thought you have. You especially don't need to start a new topic every time your brain fires a retarded question into your head. Exercise some self restraint, try and post less and make it even slightly interesting, you are coming across like a five year old who has to tell everyone everything he has seen. "look Mummy a bus There is somebody riding a bike. That car is blue. Why do dogs bark. Why is sunday called sunday. I like fish" It's really dull

I give Pardew some credit today -I was baffled when Saylor on Jonas off, But the formation seemed to be fluid 3 at the back with Ricky and Simpson bombing on, slipping back to a back four when Enrique was defending. Managed to keep decent width, and I was impressed by leaving 2 up front, brave decision which nearly paid off. Tiote all over the place as ever

I'll tell you what I think = I think you are an idiot Disgusted, ashamed -wtf is wrong with you, This bullshit really pisses me off. He didn't need slaughtering, he knew he had fucked up. Well done he crowd who got behind him. Support the players and the team Some of you idiots shouldn't be allowed in the ground.

Bah I'm still at 22 mins, at least we are winning. Any pm's greatfully received

I don;t know where you will be based in London - do you have to go Heathrow. Victoria -Gatwick is about 30 mins on the train. no tube, less people much preferable journey if your south of the river. 1hr 20 from Gatwick to Newcastle, home and hosed in two and a half hours. Added bonus of a couple of pints with Spongebob if I stop off on my way home Mind if I was closer to Kings Cross I would just get the train
-
I really REALLY just don't get this mindset My first thought was exactly the same as Isegrim -I wish I had your ability to see the best in Ashley Remind me how long ago Carroll signed his new contract again

I agree with this. We had definitely lost our way post Robson. Keegan had changed all that - no way were we heading for relegation that season before he got sacked.
-
Who's fourth. People should all say which one they voted for so we know where we stand. My fourth would be the royal family. I hope he dies btw, I voted for the next option up though because I didn't want to jinx it

Has he now reversed it? Thats a question which no one can really answer as of yet. Arguing about whether we are in decline or not is a fairly pointless. More to the point is the previous owners were making decisions with the benefit of the club in mind(I'm not denying the decisions also had an eye on their bank accounts) This owner appears to not care about benefit to the club, only to his own agenda, anything positive on the field being secondary. Hope I'm wrong His own agenda is not to lose money, he's already in for thick end of £200mill so whilst we might not like the way he'll do things, his "agenda" has to result in positive things on the field or he's screwed and even he must see that. BUT he will do it his way, no-one makes his amount of cash without being hard nosed and ruthless, so we just have to wait and see how it plays out and hope Mikey boy makes his profit. The reason he is in for so much money is because he fucked things up with the purchase, then with Allerdyce and then Keegan. His stupity in the following transfer window and JFK appointment saw us relegated - forgive me for doubting

It's a good post in as little as it says a few basic obvious things about if you want to sign the very top players then you need to spend the very top money. Which is basically a statement of desire because it doesn't really say where this money should come from. You're competing with Chelsea (sugar daddy) Man City (sugar daddy), Man U (bigger than us) remember, so i) Newcastle's natural resources alone rule this type of investment out, ii) he doesn't expect Ashley to spend his own money, iii) credit isn't available as it was the last time we went out mad spending. So it offers no solutions as to where the cash should come from. Although he protests that he 'doesn't just want to splash cash about' in essence, if you go back through his posts down the years its the only consistent theme that emerges. Ever. That's all it is as an argument. We've got a clear transfer 'surplus' this summer. If that gets used towards strengthening I'll be content with the direction since the relegation season. If not I won't. I don't anticipate the entire amount will be spent either way (and theres an argument it shouldn't be if we're just clearly being held to ransom), but I'll try and judge using those slightly more objective criteria because I realise we were miles off challenging when Ashley took over and Leazes will be a long time looking for his magic wand. I'm talking about you when I'm talking about dimwits, and people who won't admit when they are wrong. It's so obvious, you disagree with me and stalk me like there is no tomorrow. You really are a tosspot. That post not so much

The problem with this is your confusing the fallout from appointing Souness (which I’m sure LM would agree was a bad decision) with an overall long term strategy. LM isn’t saying the last regime were perfect. He‘s saying their overall strategy was sound. Not faultless but right up until they handed Souness £50m it reaped huge rewards without compromising the club’s financial stability. Now letting Souness piss £50m on a load of crap players was a big mistake but pointing at what happened after that and writing off a strategy that clearly worked for NUFC is plain ignorant. One mistake didn’t undo all the progress we made under SJH/FF. It was a set back that required a short term rethink of the club’s finances. We just needed to steady the ship for a season or two and then get back to being a club that had ambition. Ashley has ripped up a blueprint that worked and replaced it with one that looks increasing like delivering nothing but a steady decline in the club’s status. Brilliant. Apologies to LM if I’ve misrepresented his views. Yup, yup, thrice yup

Yes it does to be honest, the years since SBR have been utter shit and were trending down, last season and this have had much better "highs", in my opinion. I don't get all the incessant misery to be honest. I've enjoyed this season more than any season for years, but at the same time its been the most depressing. The realisation that the better somebody plays the less likely they are to be here next season is sickening Only if you let it sicken you, and your realisation is not proven (yet) why worry about next season, until it's here, anything you, me or anyone "thinks" just now might not ever happen. All I see just now, is a team which never knows it's beaten, appears to have pride in itself and works like fuck for the cause, what's bad about that. It's about the game after all. I do agree if someone knocks our socks off (or someone like Man U comes calling) with an offer for Enrique, for example, we'll sell him. Then again I realise if Barca or Real do the same for a Man U player he'll be sold/fuck off as well, it's just the way it is. Edit - the cure for your depression seems to be, the players can't play as well as they are so no-one'll want them which would result in a crap season/matchday experience. Or maybe we may just keep the players - again a long shot because of the way football is, but I'm a glass half full kinda blokey/codger. If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor

Rob if you want to know quite how bad doping is in cycling have poke around this forum -quite the eye opener I'm pretty convinced there are very few "clean" sports or sportsmen out there fwiw. The difference in stamina and power in so many sports is so different from 20 years ago.
