  1. I saw the Police on that tour at the Liverpool Empire and I can completely agree about the Cramps, it was a bit of a life changing moment for me. I didnt know much about them beforehand I still vividly remember them coming on stage, Lux stick thin in a purple suit. Poison Ivy like something out if my wildest teenage dreams and generating a noise I didnt know was possible. Still one of my fondest memories all these years later. I seem to remember Richard Hell and the Voidoids were bottom of the bill. Punk Royalty
  2. I believe the LOL, fuck you defense will see them sail happily on

  4. @PaddockLad great show last night, was so good to see live music again. I've seen them a few times and they seem to be getting better and better. They really are much better live than on record. Angrier louder and funnier Quite the twisted Yazoo cover as well All in all a top night
  5. Going tonight. I remember those riots, we lived just round the corner and we used to do our regular Friday night pub crawl, round the 11 pubs between the river and the Highway in Wapping it was very entertaining watching that shit going down
  6. It's going to be hilarious when we don't buy anyone in the January window
  7. That's what Ken gave to DOJ which proved less incriminating than expected, hence no toilet wine for Tom
  8. My company decreed Christmas do or vouchers if you didn't want to go. I told my lot they were all getting the vouchers Got my Ops manager working from home pozzed at the minute, luckily hasn't spread through the rest of the monkeys yet
  9. Sadly I'm the most vunerable person I know as I'm an old cunt and had heart failure a few years back. I've been going to the pub and restaurants. I'm back in the gym and I actually went to the same venue to see Ross Noble a few weeks back. It's just a sweaty gig seems a bigger step. I'll probably end up going and sitting upstairs in an age appropriate fashion, then catching it anyway
  10. Got my booster lined up for Saturday I'm due to go and see the Sleaford Mods on Friday, been looking forward to it for months, but starting to wonder if it's a stupid idea at this point Sick of this
  11. Succession is fucking hilarious. Best thing on TV by a mile
  12. I'll be honest I'm not that bothered about relegation. If it happens it happens but at the start of the season if you'd offered me the chance if being the relegated and being shot of Ashley I would have snap accepted even without the added bonus of being the richest club in the world On reflection I think Eddie Howe was the best choice that was actually available, I couldn't have stomached Slippy G even if he turns out to be decent With regard to Howe if he works out great, if he doesn't we will be further into the building stage and they can punt him and get somebody else. The clubs on the rollercoaster now and I'm just going to enjoy the ride
  13. I would have agreed with you, seeing the original at the cinema as a teenager was an absolute stunning for me. I still remember it vividly, I've never had a cinematic experience like it. I've watched the original dozens of times since I thought Redux was horribly disappointing, the whole rhythm of the original was gone. I saw the final cut a couple of years ago, again at the cinema, the first time I had seen any version at the cinema in a couple of decades. Going in I was worried that it wouldn't live up to the original at it would be a disappointment but it was a genuine masterpiece
  14. Are you listening Toontastic. ASM officially carried the ball further than anyone else in the league. Clarko to return in a blaze of glory
  15. Public service announcement The best version of the best film ever made is on BBC1 tonight at 12:15 Apocalypse Now. The Final Cut
  16. Got zero confidence about this one. Still makes a change looking forward to watching it, which is a nice change
