  1. Sadly I think this is wishful thinking. He has managed to get himself into position as King of the grifters Some PAC or another will pay the fine after it gets negotiated down to 1.5m and he has his army if rubes he can fundraise off in response to the charges. He will probably end up better off financially
  2. Zoe Williams isn't exactly a militant leftist but she nails what's wrong with Starmer here https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/sep/22/uk-broken-12-years-starmer-tory-government-labour
  3. I'd like to see old Donny wriggle out of this one. Still only a civil suit not a criminal one, but hopefully at least it makes him angry/unhappy for a bit
  4. Imagine my horror when I realised the old biddy was too Brookie totty Heather Haversham
  5. Horrifying story about Aussie Rules coming out https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-09-21/alastair-clarkson-and-chris-fagan-named-in-hawks-review/101452320
  6. Wish I shared your confidence, but I don't Sadly I agree if Starmer does get in we won't be addressing the real problem
  7. Exactly, different world down here. People where I work, most of whom aren't that particularly well paid, all watched the funeral avidly, lapped up the bumlicking, will now revert to there all as bad as each other, Labour just want to give all our money to immigrants, its all thescivers fault. I think the country is done tbh
  8. That's me told 😅 To be honest my view is basically a sad admission that Murdoch and the Tories have won, just put the corpse put of its misery As an aside I can't stand nature documentaries, people like me are the minority with no voice
  9. Documentaries and dramas are pretty much all produced by independent companies for the BBC anyway. All the decent journalists are jumping ship because they feel to shackled. Eddie Mair, James O'brien, Emily Maitliss all leaving for the same reason tells me the institution is bust
  10. Less than go to the match in the Prem every week. I'm at a stage I never thought I would get to, which is I would welcome the Tories dismantling the BBC. Its news coverage isn't worth a toss
  11. Frustrating, but not as bad as some here are making out. It's still a thousand times better than we were seeing under Bruce. We are obviously struggling to turn possession into chances, but we are still controlling games which is a novelty. Probably did enough to win today in reality I'm still trusting the process, only a handful of games to the next window.
  12. The one goid thing about my mother dying is she loved the queen and she'd have me in that bastard queue Small mercies
  13. Yep none of its good. I guess it's just what's happening all over the globe, but as its closer to home its a lot more worrying
  14. Well none of it is good obviously, but if all the bordering states no longer fear Russia, which seems to be happening due to the carcrash in Ukraine, then as we can see they might all start trying to settle their disputes militarily. Look at the middle east, once an area destabilises there are rarely good outcomes
  15. The queue does have a strange gravitational pull. I can feel it from South London Amused by the idea of queuing for 10 hours, getting to the front and going "what the Queen, nah" and binning it off
  16. Russia being weak might get scary War flaring up between Azerbaijan and Armenia and now Tajikistan and Kyrgystan. Hopefully this isn't how WW3 starts in Eastern Europe and Central Asia
  17. We need a queue to join THE QUEUE THE QUEUE must be fed
