Who is the worst possible, likely appointment?
spongebob toonpants replied to Ketsbaia's topic in Newcastle Forum
I am in a cold sweat about the possibility of Chris Coleman -
Quite possibly the least convincing comp ever. Showed ALL the build up play and about a zillion replays after each goal, and only about 3 good finishes in there true enough. I quite like the bloke even though he will never be popular

The Players We All Have A Grudge Against....
spongebob toonpants replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
I used to like the bloke but the sight of Zoggy's miserable kipper sulking about sends me incandesant -
They beat him. They deprived him. They ridiculed him. They broke his heart. But they couldn't break his spirit.

I am with Renton. The first series was entertaining enough but the end was a cheat, just to stretch it to another series. I started watching this series but I had no interest and again the end was a cop out

Build it and they will come

Too inconsistent except the demolition of Sooth Africa in '94. I was at that match and managed to miss every single he wicket he took by nipping out to ther pub at the wrong times

Chopra annoyed at not getting England call-up
spongebob toonpants replied to Gemmill's topic in Newcastle Forum
More proof that Chopra cant score at the top level -
And theres more..... Leazes agreeing with Gemmil sensation here QUOTE (Gemmill @ Dec 23 2004, 07:11 AM) couldntWah wah. Robert whines to the press and everyone leaps to his defence because he's "trying so hard" etc. Souness's comments to the press re Robert are ill-advised and unnecessary but I'm sick to death of Robert and his half hearted attitude towards this club. Kissing his badge is not enough. If he was putting in the outstanding, match-winning performances that some on here see every time he takes to the pitch, there wouldn't be a problem between him and Souness. Neither of them should be going to the press, but take that out of the equation, and banish from your mind the fact that poor put-upon Laurent is being called names by his boss, and he simply doesn't contribute enough for the wealth of talents that he has. And he hasn't done for a long time. I think Souness is probably just as sick of that fact as I am. LeazesMag Posted: Dec 23 2004, 03:21 PM couldn't agree more

to be fair to Leazes.... I had a lunch today with the head of procurement and the operations manager of a company who spend a fuckton of money with my company. They are both quite keen on using their position to wind me up, I of course have to take it in good humour because of the aforementioned fuckton of money. One supports Charlton, one supports West Ham. Yesterdays match came up, and I thought they were going to slaughter me. I launched into a typical Newcastle, never win anything useless overpaid etc etc, to which they both told me to shut up as they would much rather be in my position than theirs. Especially the West Ham supporter. I asked them what they thought of the Fat One and they said a bit of a tosser but he splashes the cash, they didnt think we were anywhere near a laughing stock, even though they were amused by us not having won anything for years. They did think the fans dont know when they are well off they both said we were marginally bigger than Spurs who were much bigger than Sunderland. The westham bloke thought Roeder got shagged by the board at West Ham over strikers and didnt really blame him for the relegation as much as the board, he didnt hate him but doesnt rate him either. He rates him a lot higher than Curbishley though. Hardly a definitive survey like, but there you go

It's foolish not to give Keane credit where it's due though. He came in with an effective 12 point handicap and might win automatic promotion. Rumours are they'll have a lot to spend if they are promoted, and Keane will be able to attract players, unlike Roeder. Anybody who underestimates Roy Keane is an idiot. The bloke is a born winner, has the full support of a passionate crowd and the backing of a popular board. Its a frightening combination imo

How they compare: Dinosaurs Wikipedia, logo above "Vertebrate animals that dominated terrestrial ecosystems for over 160m years, first appearing approximately 230m years ago." Conservapedia "They are mentioned in numerous places throughout the Good Book. For example, the behemoth in Job and the leviathan in Isaiah are almost certainly references to dinosaurs." US Democratic party Wikipedia "The party advocates civil liberties, social freedoms, equal rights, equal opportunity, fiscal responsibility, and a free enterprise system tempered by government intervention." Conservapedia "The Democrat voting record reveals a true agenda of cowering to terrorism, treasonous anti-Americanism, and contempt for America's founding principles."
