  1. I dont disagree about the shiteness of the league, and I dont think the team is anything special, and I think Ashley is a cunt, but I dont think the team is any worse than last seasons bunch of shite - and they only got relegated because they really tried hard to. I think the current bunch might just be able to eke out enough points to stay up. The are probably better than Burnley and on a level with Bolton/Blackburn/Wolves /Portsmouth and certainly no worse tahn the other two teams who get promotion. We might stay up we might not, we will probably end up up yoyoing (?) between the prem and the championship with stupidly big crowds and Ashley pocketing a fortune. I almost hope we dont go up see what I mean
  2. That's why i mentioned the other things, like you said in the players awards/teams of the year etc his name comes up, hes regarded as one of the best in one of the top leagues, which sort places him in the "one of the best in the world" list. Put it this way, there's not many teams in the world he wouldn't be the first choice keeper in.. Why mention it then? The other two things you mentioned don't make you world class either imo although it's a definition which is largely down to the individual so it's a bit moot. I really don't see how anyone could argue with the limitations Barney mentions though. This has been done to death anyway and I couldn't really give a fuck about Given's career any more. Given is like Hoddle or Owen, the absolute best shotstopper (passer - finisher) in the game, which obscures the lack of ability in the rest of his game which stops him from becoming anywhere near a great. I think we are a better team with Harper in goal
  3. I can't speak for Rob W, but I must state in all honesty that I've always had difficulty in understanding the verbiage of mentally challenged people who should seek professional help in dealing with their infirmities. Suffice to say LeazesMag, I'm dreadfully sorry I have difficulty understanding you. what?1!??

  5. 01 Harper 05 Hall 06 Williamson 12 Simpson 14 Van Aanholt 04 Nolan 08 Guthrie 10 Routledge 18 Gutierrez 20 Besty 24 Carroll hughton signings this transfer window - won 5-1 , blokes is obv a genius
  6. where is the astonished by lack of sales - underwhelmed by purchases option?
  7. When does the window shut - Im frankly astonished we appear to have brought in a couple of decent championship players without selling anybody. Still time for a last minute "to good an offer to turn down" to happen, but atm the window hasn't been the abortion I expected. Mind you signing Wayne Routledge being good news still takes abit of getting used to. I thought the plan was to buy promising youngsters, not sign people with a great future behind them
  8. (Shearer and Gazza apart) that sums up exactly how I feel
  9. The most eagerly awaited since the last one. Despite the noises from Llambias/Hughton about strengthening and nobody leaving my spidey senses are expecting another transfer window from hell. Lets have your predictions for ins /outs net spend(lol)/ profit I fully expect one of S Taylor/Colo/Enriques to go, I wouldnt be surprised if someone came in for Nolan, and I think Carrol might be the subject of an offer "too good to turn down" As for incoming, persistant rumours about Kilgannon an Beckford. Very uninspiring but might happen to replace any of the above who depart. "Good Business" says DL Profit £7.5m (it costs him £20m a season you know. Just out of the goodness of his heart. Cunt)
  10. I enjoyed it. The plot was pretty much Pocohontas (bear i mind I havent seen Pocohontas so I'm guessing) I thought the 3d was 30% 70% impressive. The one big thing I didnt like was "unobtanium" - really, unobtanium, come on
  11. white out in brighton - no work for me tomorrow
  12. single album "Get down and get with it" still possibly the greatest thing Ive ever heard
  13. bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappp!!!!!!!111
  14. “Makes me sick, motherfucker, how far we done fell."
  15. Why the hell not? Its a great competition and Newcastle have a great history in it I'd take the FA Cup over promotion any time whey aye! lets win a cup and resign ourselves to Championship football for another god knows how many years, thats a great idea. added to the fact that we've got as much chance of winning it as Harold Shipman has of getting an article in the Lancet. But yeah lets live the dream and watch as we progress through the rounds, losing a defender here and a striker there to injury. Then lets watch as the Toon hit Manchester for the Quarter final of the century, a giant killing attempt by little Newcastle as they go to Man U. 9-1 of Spurs Wigan would look like a closely fought match in which the home side just shaded it. Lets drop out gracefully in this round, promotion is the only concern. Really? I'd take the cup every time. I dont even know if I want us to get promoted, dont really see any point to it with this mob in charge, and cant see them leaving if we do Interested to why you think is the "only concern"
  16. omgwtf11!!!lol!!! has anybody else seen this? Jesus moptherfucking titty christ - that was the worst end of anything ever
  17. We are top of the league, there are only two teams in the four divisions with a better defensive record . and Ive never felt so dejected or hopeless about the future.
  18. I know we won, but Jesus Christ that was dogshit.
  19. I hope so, but I think the Germans will rob him
  20. I live in Brighton which makes me horribly aware of how an owner can completely fuck a club if wants to. Brighton are still playing their home games on a school sports ground ffs. The only positive thing I can think of at the moment is he doesn't own the ground St James's is built on. I would like to see a countrywide organised picket of Sports direct, and an unrelenting campaign of harrasment against his other businesses and anybody who does business with him.
